    Thanks and great summary. For gtd / task manager I tried both todist and tick tick. I found tick tick had lots of bells and whistles but it was very inconsistent to use (I did love the nested lists options). Ended up sticking with Todoist, while it's a bit plain it just works

      Fair point Rupen! Great to hear you've given them both a try.
      I agree that Todoist is simple yet super effective. 👍

    Thanks for taking the taking to do this, brother. I was overwhelmed with so many options but I think I'm opting for Todoist. Btw, are you Brasileiro?

    Thanks for the overview and comparison of these task managers. I think many of us use Google calendar because it is so ubiquitous but abstain from Google Task because even though it integrates seemingly with Google calendar, it is too limiting. It'd be much appreciated if you could compare how these task managers integrate with Google Calendar.

    Really needed to take into account the price of these tools. If you can't implement Gtd in their free version, then there essentially is no free version. It's important to mention the premium version's price when comparing one brand to another.
    There should be SOME viable free versions out there, and the paid versions should add helpful but not-crucial features. Their only added value shouldn't be "we DIDN'T cripple the software with arbitrary small size limits"

    • @LucasPrigge
      @LucasPrigge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for the feedback! In this review, I focused purely on functionality and in the description you will find links to a video detailing each one, including whether a free version suffices or a paid version is needed.
      Most task managers fall somewhere between the $3-$10 per month range for individual use so it's not that vast of a difference, but I will certainly take pricing into account in a future video for more budget-conscious users. 👍
      The following tools in this overview were free:
      - Evernote
      - Notion
      - HubSpot
      - OneNote
      - Google Sheets
      - Microsoft To Do

    Do you happen to know the cost difference of Trello versus Click up? Also--which one would be better as a recipe/meal planning organizer?

    • @LucasPrigge
      @LucasPrigge  ปีที่แล้ว

      ClickUp is a bit more text friendly in my opinion so that would probably be a better choice between the two as you mentioned recipes. You can find their pricing on their websites, it varies based on your exact feature requirement.

    About FascileThinking: Why is web-clipping so important for GTD? What's wrong with the Organizing layout? Does Referencing follow pure GTD? What GTD support is lacking from Engaging for which it got 4 and not 5 points?

    I wish you'd talk a little more about sequential tasks, and whether each brand has it.
    I don't mind using labels/tags for projects and contexts like you do in todoist and most of the others.
    But any time you mark a @next as done, you also have to remember if it had a project tag, then navigate to that project, then manually mark another item as @next. Otherwise you don't see it till weekly review. Doing only 1 step a week is silly for many of life's projects

    • @LucasPrigge
      @LucasPrigge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for the suggestion!
      I understand your concern, and I agree that having pre-configured sequential projects is amazing, though I would not put too much weight on it for the following reasons:
      1) Most tasks with a @next tag have a direct association with the project linked into it. So instead of waiting for your weekly review, you can just navigate to the project itself once you've completed the task, to assess whether there are pre-defined tasks in there that can receive the @next tag. This obviously doesn't mean you'd have to perform those tasks right away (especially if they have a different context), but it's a quick and easy way to keep things moving forward as I agree doing it once weekly doesn't make sense.
      2) Pre-defining projects isn't always the best strategy to begin with. I found it most helpful for recurring projects that can be turned into a template (one example for me is creating a TH-cam video!). Others may require more on-the-spot thinking and flexibility. In other words, as long as you have your next action mapped out on any given project, that's enough. Pre-defining further steps is nice, and having a tool that automates this is VERY nice, but not essential in my opinion.
      I've found that the following tools in this overview support automated sequential projects (either out of the box or through customization):
      - Asana
      - ClickUp
      - Trello

    The video is well made but you should definitely take out the word "EVERY" from the title since you ignored the Mac/iOS/iPadOS task managers (OmniFocus, Things, etc.).

    • @LucasPrigge
      @LucasPrigge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your feedback, Paul. While 'every' is meant as in 'every task manager I've reviewed on my channel thus far', I can see how it may give a false impression for Apple users as a standalone title. I'll see how I can make the title more representative.
