Honestly one of the hardest moments forever will be the "Eliza" in who lives, who dies, who tells your story. Or "the orphanage". Both just straight up open up the tear ducts
When My HS did Matilda, the part that got me was Ms., Honeys part at the end, because in so many ways she is just like the kids just wanting to grow up but unable to because of Trunchbull.
Ireland is my favorite song in Legally Blonde. Legally Blonde is one of my two school musicals this year. I wish I was playing Paulette. I love the song so much. I got to play Elphaba and my best friend played Glinda when we did For Good in our camp’s cabaret. It made everyone cry, including us.
Yep, many tear jerkers there! Eliza's scream gets me every time. The other one that gets me every time that wasn't there is Elphaba's song "No Good Deed" from Wicked. :"Fiyero!"
I was in a choir in college and for the final show for my graduating class the choir director selected For Good as our closing number. Rehearsals went fine, but when we actually had to perform it for the final time in front of our friends and family? It's a miracle we got through the song at all; most of us were sobbing onstage.
Ok for a while this video just made me mad because there wasn’t any falsettos and that is the musical that makes me sob uncontrollably and then the end hit and I was done for😭
viewer's log: 3:00 in the morning, I'm crying oceans, once again... really needed a reason to cry tonight thank u also that little detail on what Jason says in Hebrew destroyed my little heart.
Anything second act from big fish (especially I don't need a roof) will make me bawl. Highly recommend anyone wanting a less known musical to see/watch it!
For good from Wicked is my favourite SAD song in musical theatre history cause Wicked is my favourite musical and when you get to know the wicked witch of the west that’s what makes her death really sad(She doesn’t really die)
Don’t know why but this songs make me sad: - Anything can happen Mary Poppins - Spoonful of sugar/Shooting star Mary Poppins - Climb every mountain Finale The Sound of Music - Finale In the heights - Somewhere over the rainbow only sung by Judy Garland
18:01 I am CONVINCED that what is actually happening here, is that Marvin realises he gave it to Whizzer, thus blaming himself for losing his lover. Am i basing this theory on anything? No. I just wanna make me feel more pain for absolutely no reason :')
So, I have been doing theater since I was 5, so at that age, I was trained to laugh instead of cry at the stuff that occurs on stage. Stage therapy sucks. You need to be good at composing yourself really quickly. Also, i am really good at pretending to be dead. its really fun
Hello Dolly was my first musical to be in and seeing it on here brings back memories of orange face paint, bad acne but beautiful costumes. Edit: HOW DARE YOU ADD IN THE BEDROOM DOWN THE HALL OMG
FINALLY someone else knows the emotional stakes of legally blonde 😢
Starting off with Eliza’s scream and It’s Quiet Uptown, I’m not even a minute in and I’m crying 😂😭
when they do "the orphanage" though...
Same
Reads *elizas scream*
Me: “i can do it”
Eliza: screams
Me: cries
Honestly one of the hardest moments forever will be the "Eliza" in who lives, who dies, who tells your story. Or "the orphanage". Both just straight up open up the tear ducts
On GOD "the orphanage" gets me every time. And the "oh I can't wait to see you again, it's only a matter of time" I'm a WRECK
Including the full entirety of When I Grow Up is SUCH a mood
i do professional theater in my city, and i was matilda in matilda. The whole show was fun
the swings were surprisingly hard to work with, because they kept getting twisted
nah we did it in our poor school so we had to take out ceiling tiles for the swings to work and they were so fun
When My HS did Matilda, the part that got me was Ms., Honeys part at the end, because in so many ways she is just like the kids just wanting to grow up but unable to because of Trunchbull.
@@NoIts_Eliza13 Sounds like fun. And interesting that they had to remove the ceiling tiles to make them work.
I love the song "Ireland", Legally Blonde-musical is so underrated. Such a beautiful musical
my school did it for our senior musical i love 'legally blonde' (the song) always made me cry
100%
Theatre in general is underrated.
Legally blonde makes me cry everytime no matter how much I hear it
“Just let me say how much I want you to say”
AHHHHH
“I’m beautiful.” The simple realisation and declaration from “I’m Here”, The Colour Purple. Every. Single. Time.
Putting falsettos at the end was evil. I’m now sobbing
Of COURSE it starts with the three most heartbreaking moments on Hamilton! I legit have to squint and hold my breath through Pippa's scream! 😭😭😭
Cause it's so genuine. I honestly get chills cause I am honestly a little scared for how Pippa screams like that.
i graduate in less than a week. when i grow up literally slapped me across the face and left me in shambles.
Laura's acting was incredible. Instant tears well up. So happy to find someone who also gets it.
Musical theater, for that matter all theater, is the greatest gift God gave us. Thank you for making this compilation.
Amen. It gives us a chance to witness the amazing musical talents that people have and are willing to share with the rest of us.

The one line from Dear Evan Hansen that ALWAYS makes me cry: "Is there another truck coming to our driveway? A truck that will take mommy away?"
I wish there was only one that made me cry every time 😂
When the phantom sings after all I ask of you hurts me sm

IN THE BEDROOM DOWN THE HALL OH MY GOD. IM SOBBING
imagine singing for good at the last show as a hs senior oh godddd
I was in a choir in college and for the final show for my graduating class the choir director selected For Good as our closing number. Rehearsals went fine, but when we actually had to perform it for the final time in front of our friends and family? It's a miracle we got through the song at all; most of us were sobbing onstage.
i haven’t seen falsettos but i’m literally bawling my eyes out 😭
I just realized I accidentally put the Hello Dolly clip in twice oops
Falsettos makes me cry at the drop of the last act.

elizas screams get me every time 🥲
Ok for a while this video just made me mad because there wasn’t any falsettos and that is the musical that makes me sob uncontrollably and then the end hit and I was done for😭
Putting in what I think is the clip from “for Good” from Idina’s last performance was EVIL.😭😭😭
FINALLY. Someone gets how powerful and impactful You Learn To Live Without is. Hell, basically any part of If/Then. Criminally underrated.
viewer's log: 3:00 in the morning, I'm crying oceans, once again... really needed a reason to cry tonight thank u
also that little detail on what Jason says in Hebrew destroyed my little heart.
I’ve never seen so much open sobbing at a Broadway show as the last 20 minutes of Next To Normal
Spring Awakening.
Literally words fail and good for you are so powerful like omg
WHY ITS LESS THAN A MINUTE INTO THE VID AND IM SOBBING
Bare breaks my heart every time I listen to it.
no bc when i grow up makes me cry every time is so nostalgic for me
I was in Godspell in high school in 1990. I wish one of us cast members sang Beautiful City, because it’s a damn waterworks song. 😭

the song legally blonde breaks me everytime
It was a crime to put Bare in this compilation. I came here to cry, not full on sob-
Anything second act from big fish (especially I don't need a roof) will make me bawl. Highly recommend anyone wanting a less known musical to see/watch it!
The legally blonde reprise wrecks me everytime
SMILE THROUGH THE PAIN GUYS YOU CAN DO IT-
For good from Wicked is my favourite SAD song in musical theatre history cause Wicked is my favourite musical and when you get to know the wicked witch of the west that’s what makes her death really sad(She doesn’t really die)
I tried my best to keep my tears until “ What Would I Do” from falsettos
The song Legally Blonde makes me wanna cry every single time I see it 😭
**tosses boxes of tissues into the comment section**
first one alone made me cry damn it
I couldn't watch half of this cause I would just start sobbing uncontrollably
Cynthia Erivo (singing): "I'm beautiful"
Me: "Yes, yes you are, Cynthia Erivo. You are beautiful."
Don’t know why but this songs make me sad:
- Anything can happen Mary Poppins
- Spoonful of sugar/Shooting star Mary Poppins
- Climb every mountain Finale The Sound of Music
- Finale In the heights
- Somewhere over the rainbow only sung by Judy Garland
As soon as I saw the falsettos warning I knew I was done for
absolutely devastating, great job!
OMG NOT FALSETTOS AND BARE
I did matilda for my one act and I think when I grow up is the best slow/sad musical theatre song ever
YOU CANT INDLUDE IM HERE AND WXPECT ME TO SURVIVE
you could’ve put all of act 2 falsettos here , because well , if you get through that without crying then 🙇🏼♀️
LITERALLY THOUGH LIKE THE FIRST TIME I WATCEHD I WAS DISTRACTED FOR A LOT OF IT AND DIDNT BUT EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. AFTER
18:01 I am CONVINCED that what is actually happening here, is that Marvin realises he gave it to Whizzer, thus blaming himself for losing his lover. Am i basing this theory on anything? No. I just wanna make me feel more pain for absolutely no reason :')
I swear if So Big/So Small isn't on this list....
You had to add Eliza's scream in Hamilton.. 😭

Welp it’s time to cry… Aight ima see y’all later I’ll be in my room breaking down 🥲
As a bisexual Catholic, Bare does just hit so hard
Like, the themes... the self hatred... the mommy/daddy issues... the faith in spite of everything... I die everytime
YES BARE A POP OPERA REPRESENTATION
So, I have been doing theater since I was 5, so at that age, I was trained to laugh instead of cry at the stuff that occurs on stage. Stage therapy sucks. You need to be good at composing yourself really quickly. Also, i am really good at pretending to be dead. its really fun
IM ACTUALLY UGLY CRYING NOW DAMN IT 😀🤚
Hello Dolly was my first musical to be in and seeing it on here brings back memories of orange face paint, bad acne but beautiful costumes.
Edit: HOW DARE YOU ADD IN THE BEDROOM DOWN THE HALL OMG
The guy with curly hair singing What Would I Do is the same guy who played Emmet Forrest in Legally Blonde
Omg rlly??? No wayyyy 😱😱 (you should be ashamed that you don't know Christian Borle's entire career 😮💨)
You: "Falsettos spoilers, very sad"
Me: "YES. FINISH ME OFF"
