It just blows my mind between stuff like this and the Real Grade models how detailed and intricate smaller and smaller grades are getting. Still remember a time when 144 scale basically translated to "It's gonna move like shit and skim details but eh, it's affordable." And now we have P Bandai models and 144 scale models that match, and in some arguable cases even surpass in some ways, master grade models. What a time. Hazel is such a unique Gundam design, no wonder its so popular. I just love how unique the shape is, and how it has that kind of "imperfect transformation" look where you can immediately tell it's a transformable mobile suit because its MS transformation doesn't become something so perfectly humanoid, or at least in the typical MS sense. And it certainly helps its transformed mobile armor mode looks like a shmup ship.
Ever wonder why kits from lines like IBO and GBF sold ridiculously well? That's because their designs were appealing even for non-Gundam fan. They knew it looks cool and very toyetic, and that's why they would pick it up on the get go. They pick it up because it's appealing to everyone. AoZ kits design, while cool on it's own, couldn't achieve the same appeal as those GBF and IBO kits in the eyes of clueless moms and normies, unless they're Titans fanboy, which is unlikely because AoZ is a rather obscure media.
Well the current pilot for the Woundwort(REboot version) is a female,if you look at Kenki Fujioka's other orbital mecha frame designs,theyre basically feminine and piloted by lolis
Azure Disk huh never noticed. Guess that makes sense. Bandai underestimates Aoz prevalence in America and elsewhere, which tbh is pretty understandable. At least to me. I’m probably just more forgiving when it comes to businesses making exclusivity decisions like that
I've thought of an idea for some kind of (non transforming) variant, that somewhat resembles an Oni. It would have a larger chest, depth-wise, the butt flap would be its back, the face would have some teeth-like shaping on the jaw area, and the legs would have pointy claws. Weapons-wise, it'd have some more 'savage' variants of the base ones and some very long arms with claws at the ends. Colours would be black main body, white front of chest/waist/crotch and the face'd be bright red.
10:58 you can still rotate the gun-handle diagonally, since the gapping hole of the holding hands is still large... every rifle in hand doesn't have to hold straight-wards if you want complex poses. Don't forget to widen it's shoulders and rotate the elbows plus wrists... and a fin-chest pivot. :)
One of the unique HGs. Both this and the Woundwort were a joy to build for sure. The nubs were terrible though, especially when coupled with big gates and titan color scheme.

This is one the my favorite P-Bandai HGUC series! Normaly why this is my favorite? Beacuse TR-6 Hazel is same like TR-6 Wouldwort and also combine with Hazel Mobile Suits by connector parts.

Then I realised that pin-ups of this MS exist (and also Exia). Let's say, on the pin-up, those thighs don't lie.
You know, I'm kinda wish that all of the advance of Z series get to release as MG Ver.Ka or HG. I mean, the woundwort transformations looks savage. The only downside about A.O.Z kit is they're all P-Bandai. Which is kinda sucks though.

Quick tip: In the included stand, you'll see some lil' holes in there, in which the manipulator peg can fit...not much of a tip, but it makes your manipulators less susceptible to go missing
When you compare the model’s gun compare to the actual color there isn’t a picture Also I can understand the polycaps holding the composite shield is a flop but I personally think that they couldn’t color separate the shoulder fins, they could of maybe done the sword bits, but take away those it’s pretty much just eyes and camera lenses, but that’s just me, you are free to think what you want, love your videos glad you are doing what you love for a living

A normal release RG or MG Woundwort (and variants) seems like an easy sell with how *Cute* that design is, heck even a Build Divers (re-rise maybe?) variant of it would be great just to get a normal release
From what I've heard, the main reason this kit and all the AoZ add-ons are P-Bandai (as well as the rerelease of the other AoZ HGs) is entirely due to licensing as AoZ isn't owned by Sunrise (or something along those lines, I forget the finer details, tbh.)

When you make the MA mode, you can attach that torso and head into a MS. Mine has the TR-1 Hazel 2/GM Quel arms holding a shield booster a piece and the torso and head is connected to the lower half of the same MS using a combat deployment colored generator from the Hazel Custom. Love A.O.Z., There's nothing like it.
I dont know if anyone gonna remembered it, but that mobile armor transformation gave me a strong vibe of einhander game, really cool game for side scrolling

I'll never truly understand why the designer chose Watership Down for his Mobile Suit names- but I love the AoZ range all the more for it. Great book, even better film.

I think the reason why this is P-Bandai is due to some deal regarding the licenses for the AoZ designs with Dengeki Hobby. A similar case to this would be the reason why most Gundam Sentinel stuff aside from Deep Striker and Ex-S/S Gundam is not really featured in much Gundam media and merch, it is because the licenses for the whole photo novel is in legal bondage regarding the rights.
I know it's a year late as a comment, but because I've built quite a few of the AoZ line lately (and getting current on the better reviews, wink, wink...) and learned that the reason for P-Bandai is because Dengeki Hobby owns the copyright IP to AoZ, not Bandai. It's one of the odd hangover issues from years past and you see the fruits of their agreement they have at the switch to P-Bandai only for Bandai AoZ releases after the first few HGUC kits were made. Basically Bandai is allowed to make AoZ kits, just not in the main kit line is all - hence why they are nearly all P-Bandai today.
Btw,the composite shield should've attach to the sub-arm or the slots in the knees but Bandai did somehow did not included that for the standard Woundwort
I'm B_ram Its one of the more simple rgs so id say yes! Very sturdy, poseable kit as well. And rgs basically always look great straight out of the box without doing anything to them(but i think the same about plenty of mgs too) My first kit was an mg (the gm custom) and I think those might be the "easiest" for me personally actually because of the bigger parts than hgs or rgs. You wont know till you try though. Just look up a suit you like and youtube "*whatever your ms of choice is* review " and you should be fine, there really isnt THAT much difference between grades in term of difficulty. The proportions though are often very different between different grades of the same mobile suit. What you might wanna be more mindful of is the fact that some specific kits need more work done to them to not feature awful seamlines/fall apart/be color accurate and those problems can arise in any grade kit. I still do it like this after having build 40-50+ kits. I enjoy posing my gundams and dont want to deal with really bad seamlines (but luckily dont mind most of the minor ones) or deal with shit that falls off all the time so I pay special attention to reviews bringing up those points. But the thing is you wont know what you hate/like doing untill youve done it so....yeah long story short, id just take the plunge and give that RG red astray a try if I were you :p. If you want to give panel lining a try though i might recommend anything but an rg as those have the smallest thinnest panel lines possible and that doesnt seem like a great place to start for that, but who knows, that might not be an issue for you so yeah :p go for it!

I bought this kit the other week for around £40. Hopefully i can buy her white sister, the Woundwort, sometime this month or the next. Then i can look for Mama Haze'n-thlay-II/Rah to have the whole TR-6 family. Hopefully we get parts or just a full kit of the Woundwort Gigantic Arms. EDIT: I've since bought the HZT2 and Kehaar-2, just need to find the HZT2-Rah for a decent price. It's getting reissued so maybe i can get it soon.

so as a concept design, or practical, if the mech is near critical condition is does the ejector seat have rockets to get you FAR AWAY from the mech but severely injures you, or if shit goes down hit you have to huff it on foot but over all one the battlefield its better as a fast engagement mech but overall its legs are a severe liability
O shit imagine if they release the Hyzenthlay or Woundwort-Rah Or any of the other TR-Series variants. I hope we get the TR-5 Gaplant (Hrairoo) as well. Damn, AoZ has some badass designs.
I really cannot believe this did not get an MG, i dunno if i should get one when i can or wait for a possible upgraded version... As is i feel like it was half a step away from RG but decided to use double produced fixed parts in some cases...

My first kit was an mg (the gm custom) and I think those might be the "easiest" for me personally actually because of the bigger parts than hgs or rgs. You wont know till you try though.
Just look up a suit you like and youtube "*whatever your ms of choice is* review " and you should be fine, there really isnt THAT much difference between grades in term of difficulty. The proportions though are often very different between different grades of the same mobile suit. What you might wanna be more mindful of is the fact that some specific kits need more work done to them to not feature awful seamlines/fall apart/be color accurate and those problems can arise in any grade kit. I still do it like this after having build 40-50+ kits. I enjoy posing my gundams and dont want to deal with really bad seamlines (but luckily dont mind most of the minor ones) or deal with shit that falls off all the time so I pay special attention to reviews bringing up those points.
But the thing is you wont know what you hate/like doing untill youve done it so....yeah long story short, id just take the plunge and give that RG red astray a try if I were you :p.
If you want to give panel lining a try though i might recommend anything but an rg as those have the smallest thinnest panel lines possible and that doesnt seem like a great place to start for that, but who knows, that might not be an issue for you so yeah :p go for it!
@@ApenBaard Thank you. I'll give it a shot. I was thinking to start with a perfect grade astray but I think that would be bold for me to start with. I really liked big figures so I was thinking to get the perfecy grade. But I think, I'll start with a small figure.

I bought this kit the other week for around £40. Hopefully i can buy her white sister, the Woundwort, sometime this month or the next. Then i can look for Mama Haze'n-thlay-II/Rah to have the whole TR-6 family. Hopefully we get parts or just a full kit of the Woundwort Gigantic Arms.
EDIT: I've since bought the HZT2 and Kehaar-2, just need to find the HZT2-Rah for a decent price. It's getting reissued so maybe i can get it soon.

so as a concept design, or practical, if the mech is near critical condition is does the ejector seat have rockets to get you FAR AWAY from the mech but severely injures you, or if shit goes down hit you have to huff it on foot but over all one the battlefield its better as a fast engagement mech but overall its legs are a severe liability

Those machines had random names. I like the adjustable hands with the articulate wrists, that never is included in all HGUC kits.
It's not random, just search "Watership Down", that's all T3 unit are named from.
