Love these videos. My girlfriend and I have a 98 XJ. I’m in the process of doing a lot of the same restorations myself! This is great stuff here! Keep it up!
I did the same with my 98 XJ, i changed the old horrible clúster like yours for the complete clúster with RPM's , temperature gauge (very important) and everything works great, Just plug and playa but now i've got + 100k miles on It. I didn't know about the mosfet thing im gonna rey It. Thanks for the info!
Hi man I recently got an Xj and its a 96 sport with 76k purchased it from the original owner. Your build is gonna be legendary and can’t wait to watch it come along!
Nice, looking good. Been working on my Xj for years. I wish I had changed by track bar years before I did. Get a "Double shear" track bar upgrade. Makes the ride/safety/quality/steering 100% better. The stock ones are absolutely awful design!
Hello from an XJ owner in Western Canada! I have a 1998 too, but we have (had - before you changed yours) different clusters. Is yours the 4.0 litre? I just wanted to let you know that I have 480,000 kilometers on mine. That's 298,000 miles so you should get a lot of life out of yours for sure.
@@srector3 I have an xj that is the same version and I was thinking of changing my dashboard for the most complete version and just because of the mile counter, I did not install it, so thanks to this I will be able to, thank you very much.
Keep up with the XJ content, it is a guaranteed way to grow your channel. The people hungry for XJ content is HUGE.
You seem quite capable. I liked the towel trick to remove the clip for the window handle. You have a great helper too.
Dude my Jeep was the twin to yours when I started! Literally identical!

Need more episodes!!

That’s awesome! Yeah, I have the 4 liter too. I’ve been commuting with it over the last few months and it’s been great so far
Just replace the mosfet from your first single dashboard to the other full dash to get the miles from the old one?
Yeah, exactly. Or you could reprogram it if you have a programmer.
