98 Cherokee XJ Overland Project (Part 3: new seats)
มุมมอง 10K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Finally had a free weekend so we broke out the Jeep and decided to tackle one of the more annoying issues we were having - the seats. The original seats were broken, covered in stains/dog hair, and smelled like cigarettes from the previous owners. We’ve had a lot of other projects going on this year, so the Jeep has been mostly parked in the garage since the last video. I’m planning to make som...

98 Cherokee XJ Overland Build (Part 1: car wash)
มุมมอง 16K4 ปีที่แล้ว
We just bought a Jeep Cherokee XJ for $2200. It's rough around the edges but we're planning to restore it to its original condition, and throw some upgrades at it along the way. In this intro video, we clean it up, test drive it, and find out how Apps is doing. In the next video, we get started with maintenance/repairs and taking inventory. We're currently living in an apartment outside of Bost...
Mavic Mini error 30210 fix after crashing in water
มุมมอง 7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is how I got my mavic mini to work again after I crashed it in water. Step 1: remove battery Step 2: dry thoroughly (I used a hair dryer) Step 3: I removed protective lens on the camera to get rid of condensation Step 4: wait a few days to make sure everything is dry Step 5: power drone on and see what happens (mine gave error code 30210) Step 6: buy ESC board (~$30) Step 7: replace board ...

The steel wheels look great!
Forgive me not being a jerk and i'm 2 years late here but in this situation you should be using phosphoric acid on the rust at makes rust turn black and become inert then you coat it. Just painting over the top of the rust is the worst thing you can do.
I am on the same way of getting my XJ better and newer (restoring)! Nice job!!! ike those Quadratec mats, but shipping the, here to Kazakhstan is double price of the mats )
My drone fell into the water and it dialed the same code, the same thing, also a rotor I will change I will let you know what the result was
bro we need new updates about the cherokee XJ please
Wow, great job! Looks amazing and so fresh 👌
Please where can I buy those jeep emblems your website doesn’t work. I’ll pay you through PayPal for them.
Well I changed the ESC Board , I changed the Motors , all four ! I changed the GPS Module and still it says "Power System Error" everything was taken from one of my Working Mini-2 drones , I certainly wouldn't go any further with this one cause I could pickup a Used one for Cheaper ! The GPS Module , the ESC Board and Three of the Motors are no good , thus the reason for changing all of these parts but after still seeing the Error Message and knowing that all these Parts would have to be Ordered to get this one fixed , it makes no sense .
Awesome work man. Those jeep badges for the mats are awesome. Might have to print some up myself as my rugged ridge logos fell off mine.
Awesome video bro! The steel wheels look better in my opinion. Curious if you could share the print file for the mat logos?
Dead channel
Still waiting part 5!!
You arent going to make anymore XJ videos?
Thanks for the link to the floor mats they are an awesome insurance policy
Awesome! How is the jeep overland project? 😃
Not doing anymore XJ videos?
Dude you got so lucky with those seats I can never find anything that looks that good.
What is the yellow arrow on the gauges stand for ?
Your girlfriend beautiful 😜
Why did you stop posting videos of your xj?
can i get the measurements for the jeep 3d prints somewhere ? love it
i have a similar squeaky noise to yours. do you have any idea what it is?
Great job guys ! Looking good.
Look up Por15 as a coating for your seats under carriage and floor boards (I know you already covered the floor boards), Also for the underside of the vehicle . Center console on the dash with the radio, there is a double din upgrade for the 97-01 Cherokee. Allows you to install a 7" multimedia head unit. Your XJ is coming along nicely. The Lady sure has a giggle.
Did you sell the Jeep? Haven’t seen anymore videos from you!
Looks like you're having a good time restoring the Jeep! Can't wait to see it done!
If you plan on keeping this cherokee for a long time I would plan on removing the interior and removing all the factory seam sealer I can tell you have rust underneath it. I've done a few it's almost like the factory seam sealer absorbs water it's weird it smells musty like there's moisture in the seam sealer when you remove it. What I usually do is use an angle grinder with a heavy wire brush and that tears through it then a sharp chisel and cone style wire brush on a die grinder or even a drill for the corners. Then I use a 2k primer on top after the rust repair and then nice 2 part 3m seam sealer like the controlled flow and heavy bodied sealer it takes a lot to replicate the factory it's expensive but very nice when it's done. Then I use a 2k paint on the floors when done. Please don't do bedliner it holds moisture underneath it, it's like a rubber film and water gets between it and the floor I've seen multiple jeeps and truck beds with this issue.
Could you post that Jeep logo replacement for the Quadratec mats?
What seats can I put in my 96?
Those camera shots are awesome! Nice job!
The other rims were from a Grand Cherokee, I like the second set much better.
You should go back and strip every part you can, and save on it, you can't find anything for Cherokes anymore. Wow, I can't believe you tossed those seats.
You can literally find XJ parts everywhere! Even here in Australia!
I have a 98 as well, bought it new, when you own any car that long, most parts are replaced several times, start hoarding parts if you plan on keeping it
Loving the Jeep emblems. Wondering if you could share the print file or make them available some how. So much better looking than the quadratec ones.
Looks like you could use some cordless power tools. Makes parts collecting go much faster. Kobalt makes very affordable quality cordless tools. Looks great so far. God bless and stay well.
My wife and I had a 93 Laredo and she loved that vehicle. I liked it too. It was beat when we traded it in. Well over 250,000 miles. I'd love to find her another one to rebuild like this.
I like the "new" factory steel wheels much better. making me consider using a set I have myself
I love the Jeep emblems you made.
You seem quite capable. I liked the towel trick to remove the clip for the window handle. You have a great helper too.
That's beyond a little surface rust. What you needed to do was get a damn power drill with a wire cup brush & a plethora of toxic solvents. That's going to come back to haunt you & you're not going to know it till it's too late because you masked it up with the insulation deadner.
i mean it’s not like the jeeps life is over. all it takes is a welder n some sheet metal if the frame is alright that is
Love the jeep series. The Cherokee would look super good with tinted windows!
Brother, Awesome Rig great job on everything and Love the Rims! Your Lady is AMAZING and Beautiful you better put a ring on her Finger!!! Best Regards!
I took my carpet out of my 96XJ to repair some minor damage from rust on the floor pans. While I had the carpet removed, I took the opportunity while I had access to apply fluid film to the bolt holes for the seats and seatbelts etc. Then I used Noico butyl sound deadener from Russia. I did the area between the headliner and the roof as well. Made a huge difference with road noise. I ultimately reinstalled the carpet, but I may end up replacing it.
I'm also restoring my 94 xj. A lot of rust in the floor. Using Fluid Film as well to stop and protect for rusting.
Nice, looking good. Been working on my Xj for years. I wish I had changed by track bar years before I did. Get a "Double shear" track bar upgrade. Makes the ride/safety/quality/steering 100% better. The stock ones are absolutely awful design!
Nice 👍
Dude my Jeep was the twin to yours when I started! Literally identical!
Next u need to install a set of amazon aftermarket headlights I know how badly the original ones perform 😣
is she indian?
YEP Your screwed. Got the XJ bug. I own 4 and always upgrading and building.
Definitely like the new wheels more they suit the xj
