I like a loaded burger or fried chicken sandwich as a late night snack but only if I am really hungry. However, on a cruise, I am usually in my cabin reading a good book while munching on M+Ms chocolates or peeking out the window to see what's out there!
I love the 24-hour amazing pizza on Carnival! It was absolutely perfect. I would order it every morning for breakfast as I am not big on breakfast foods (ie. bacon, sausages, eggs, pastries, etc.) in the morning! Mushroom pizza with diet coke is one of my favourites!

Sure thing! If you do end up hungry at 2 AM, HAL does have 24 hour room service where you can order food delivered to your cabin. It is free and you can just pay a couple of dollars to the delivery person as tip. Thanks for watching!

Yeah Royal is probably at or near the top for its combination of entertainment, bells & whistles, food & service. Food is not quite as excellent as HAL but still quite good.
You are right and MSC do not do the belly flop competition but Royal Caribbean do have a belly flop competition please check out my channel and you will see the video off the belly flop competition on board off the Serenade off the seas you will like it.
I think all cruise ships should have multiculural menu like red beans and rice and coli greens. Emmemmgood. Southern fried chicken. Corn. Bread. Alleluyah..
Agree 100%- we personally love eating food and enjoying the flavor profiles from different cultures. On most of our cruises I think they do a good job presenting a variety of food. I think Holland America was no exception both at the buffet & in the main dining room.
On oosterdam now. The food is boring and its the same basic crap every day. Service is slow and unhappy. Sometimes they simply wont bring you room service order at all. Its nuts!
They must have improved the internet on the ship because on our HAL cruises it was very slow, and videos were impossible to watch. But yeah from our cruise experiences Holland America has one of the best food qualities overall. Have you tried the Dive in Cafe by the pool yet? Some really good stuff there. What do you think about the main dining room thus far? Not sure what happened with room service- the service was also really good when we were on our HAL cruises. Be sure to log your issues with the front desk and see if they can help with anything!
@@TravelTouristVideos internet is spotty but decent speed when working. The Dive in does have decent hot dogs and burgers, but the service is frustrating. The guy standing the the first time i went was acting all confused when i tried to order from him, almost like "why are you telling ME you want a burger?" Eventially he did take my order though. First night i ordered a club sandwich room service for dinner. Stale bread. Next morning ordered salmon eggs benny room service, properly with the form the night before,as well as other things for the rest of my family. Time slot 9 to 930. Everyone got their food but me. I waited 40ish minutes, assuming it was on its way but finally called and asked for it politely. Another 20 minutes called again and was again forgiving about it but still made it clear i wanted it. Finally breakfast service was nearing an end and i called again, this time im not hiding my frustration. "Am I to understand you just aren't going to bring my breakfast?" "Madam i have told my supervisor twice." Well thanks for that I now feel nourished. The next morning we ate breakfast in the dining room because i love eggs benny and like to sample it everywhere and didnt trust room service. What i got was the tiniest version of benny i have ever seen. Miniscule English muffins itty bitty ham and they must use extra small eggs with the tiniest almost pointless dollop of hollandaise sauce which at least was REAL hollandaise and had good flavor. But nothing else at all on the plate. The room service version said it came with roasted potatoes so i was expecting that. So i asked for some potatoes, kindly, and they brought me two hash brown patties. A few more complaints I'm leaving out for brevity. Since then my expectations have been dashed. We arent really jere for the food. I am here for the sea and the sky. I just go to the Lido deck and get eggs in the morning and maybe make myself a taco salad later (i do appreciate the taco bar) . But I am an intermittent faster and have just decided to fast on some days. I was going to indulge this week expecting great food and service but the lack of those just makes it easier to stick to my efforts so ill take the positive from it.
Sorry to hear that- that was definitely bad room service there. At the main dining room keep in mind you can order multiple entrees, or so something you really liked you can order 2 or 3 servings. But you should eat at the main dining room for each meal more often- that's where they have the best food. Definitely don't miss those Gala dinner nights! They should have lobster on the second one if you're on a 7 day cruise. Interestingly we also do intermittent fasting but on a cruise with so much food on the ship we kind of have to suspend it usually 😁. Enjoy the rest of your cruise- hope you get to sample some of their better offerings!
@@TravelTouristVideos I have never understood the love of lobster. But I will try dinner in the dining room tomorrow night as per your suggestion. Im going to fast from now till then. That way whatever I get will taste even better. And despite the service issues I am indeed enjoying the cruise! I have seen the open sea, virgin islands, bahamas, and puerto rico all within 5 days. Good food or no, this is a blessed life!
In addition to lobster they will likely have their best cuts of beef as well, like filet mignon. Order multiple appetizers/entrees/dessert and have a good time. We feel the same way when we're on cruises- it's a blessing indeed & our favorite form of vacation.

I did not have an issue of gaining weight on my last 2 cruises . The trouble I had was that all my clothes shrunk !
Yeah er my clothes "shrunk" too but it was worth it, lol.
All of my clothes shrunk during the pandemic as well. Now, I have nothing to wear for my upcoming cruise.
Since the late night buffet is only available for one hour, my guess is that the area could become crowded?

The included food is certainly much, much better than MSC. Activities wise- MSC has the edge especially if you like more of a party atmosphere.

That food looks like a dogs dinner. Serve that to a Brit and it will be trown back
