I am a minimalist and I was even thinking, "I would love to be at the donations center when those items were dropped off." Beautiful items! Someone will definitely appreciate them!
Lol 😂 that's is awesome. Congrats 🎊 I am happy it helped you! My husband and I do the same thing with moving often and have discussed keeping the habits once we find out final stopping point as well. Thanks for sharing Jennifer! Best of luck 🍀
Instead of putting the mountain and bear from your son’s mobile into a box for years, why not make them into Christmas tree ornaments? That way the family can see them and enjoy them every year? The stars too. 😊
Cute of your lil helper to make a cameo! One suggestion of blankets, pillows, and clothes - once you need to put them in the van - VACUUM BAGS! Awesome space saver!
That is a great idea!! I'll have to see if I can order some in time! That would be great for storage even when not moving. Thanks so much for the tip!! 💗
I am moving from my apartment to stay with my boyfriends family for a few months while I finish my degree and then moving across the country to live with my parents after I graduate this spring so I am having to downsize my whole apartment. I hope everything I own can fit in a U-haul. I am going to keep my big items in a storage unit while I stay with my boyfriends family so I really have to chose what’s most important to take to their house with me for the next 4 months so I can store the rest until I move to my parents house. I hope this can help me be mindful of what I own and buy and only surround myself with things that make me happy and that I actually need.
back one year later because once again i need motivation to toss things out i only watch moving decluttering videos because the other decluttering videos are misleading lmao
Great video! What would be really nice to see would be a bit more of an in depth - what you're decluttering - type thing? For example, you scanned the shelves that had some niknaks (the shelf with your wedding sand on) to let us know you could get rid of some items on it, but we didn't actually see what you took off. I say this because it can be helpful to hear some thought processes in these kinds of videos. Looking forward to your next video! :)
Hello! Just came across your channel as I'm downsizing from a house to apartment and subscribed. I love the style of your videos! Can't wait to see more of them. BTW you look amazing in that red maternity dress!
Thanks so much Taylor! I'm so happy it gave you some motivation! 🙌 I used a site called Sellbroke.com. You enter you computer info and condition and they tell you how much they will give you for it. For really old tech, I found that there are also tech recycling pickups you can schedule depending on your location.
Omg what is your wedding sand in? We have our 9yrs now in a bog glass heart, but honestly I'm surprised it hasnt broken. We both want to do something else with it before it breaks and we lose the sand.
Ours takes clean decorative pillows (not the kind you sleep on). Alternatively, you could try to sell them on Offer Up, Facebook Marketplace or give to a friend. I ended up giving some of mine away.
Do you think it's better to keep things you no longer want/need? Ideally I wouldn't buy so much in the first place, but there are different seasons in life. I think it's great to move with less weighing you down!
@@erinelizabeth8927 I think younger people have different ideas. If I buy something I try to use it to its fullest extent. I do tend to overbuy, but I figured I spent my hard earned money on it so I am going to use it. I was raised by parents who lived through the depression so it was instilled in me to not be wasteful.
We really do try to use things to their fullest, but peace of mind is more important to me than having things that no longer serve us weighing us down. I had my bed, my nightstands, and my mattress for 15 years before just getting rid of them (and we still sold the nightstands)! I feel like I definitely got the full use out of them! And we are not just throwing everything away. We always do our best to first sell, give to a friend/family member, and then donate. I was able to give several things to my niece and sister as well as friends and sold several items. The things I threw away were items that could no longer be used like dried-up art paints.

We are closing on our first home and moving 3/15 so this is speaking to my soul right now!!!

I love that idea! Thank you 💕
I love that you are extreme decluttering so only what fits in the vehicles gets moved. ❤️❤️❤️
It's been challenging but so freeing at the same time! 💖 I can't wait till moving day when I can show y'all what we take!

Sounds expensive and wasteful to me!

It totally is 😁 it's been one of the best things I've ever done! Thank you for sharing.
The mobile that you made, you kept the bear and mtn. You could make them into Christmas tree ornaments.❤
What a motivational video...thanks for sharing! Congratulations on being pregnant. Your son is so sweet! You have an adorable family. 💜
Thank you so much Christine!!! 💕And I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 🤗

Thanks so much for the feedback Jay! I always wonder how much people actually want to see, so that's super helpful to know for my next one ☺️
I loved your kitchen decluttering video and have watched it twice because it was so good!
Just found your channel. Thanks for the decluttering motivation! All the best with your move.

Just passing through watching a whole bunch of decluttering videos. I enjoyed it! Would you mind linking the website that you sold your computer to?
Glad you enjoyed it Brianna 💕 I sold it on sellbroke.com and it was a super easy process!
Your baby is so cute! :)

Pictures last longer in albums. In a box, they will attach to each other, so you won't be able look at them anymore.
Where and why are you moving?
Denise, I'll share more in my next video but we're moving first to Virginia and then to New Hampshire to start a coffee shop! ☕
@@HeatherMitchellxoxo What an adventure. I hope you are not traveling in this winter storm. God’s blessings as you go and on your future enterprise.
@@denisecarter5117 Thank you so much!! 💕We are very excited for the adventure! Thankfully, we are not having to travel in this crazy winter storm! 🥶

Why r u moving?
Jody, I'll share more in my next video but we are moving to start a coffee shop that we've been planning for the last few years! ☺️

@@HeatherMitchellxoxo I find it difficult to give things to people I know as they do not want it, they have enough of their own I guess.
@@Arlene4HO Yes, I can definitely understand that. We were able to sell a lot of our stuff on Craigslist and Offer Up
