I was actually on the 5th cycle that day and it kept swinging for a good 5-10 minutes then the restraints didn't open so they had to open them all manually, but overall a good ride. My main complaint on it for me personally it's hard to breathe with the restraints on it.
Agree, it's hard to breathe cuz it presses on your chest. In addition, the speed the wind hits your face makes it even worse. I was not a fan and would not ride again. I don't like that feeling of not being able to breathe normally, not to mention the ride is very intense on top of that - overall was an uncomfortable experience for me.
I was surprised you mentioned the restraints being bad. I though it was pretty comfortable. The downtime is horrible though. I was lucky enough to ride it bc most of the day it was down.
Yeah the reliability is getting better but it certainly isn't perfect yet. I think there's a correct height for these restraints, I was too tall so it dug into my shoulders. For my shorter friend, it pressed into his stomach. If it pressed into your lap it's probably fine
@@wheelgap Did you notice a weird jank when the pendulum changed directions? Happened every time on my ride. I know that Max Air at Cedar Point feels smooth all the way through.
Unless you put a counterweight on the arm, the g forces of a 360° swing are over ASTM standards. Plus, this thing is huge anyhow. Also avoids the possibility of the failure case of what happened to the inverting discovery at Oaks last week
@wheelgap just passed several billboards advertising this thing along Chicago expressways and they definitely give the impression that it goes upside down. At the very least, a lot closer to upside down than any of the ride review videos I've seen.
Ok it's not the best capacity but its still a huge improvement compared to dare devil dive that probably had the worst capacity while It was here

@KemoKidd I noticed it slightly too but nothing that I would perceive as rough
@@wheelgap Wasn't rough but weird knowing a ride like that can be smooth.
I got a ride on it on the Saturday it took about 4 minutes to get to max swing a great ride for the park though
Rode it yesterday. Thrilling ride.
Are you allowed to wear shades while riding?
@thetravelingdj9802 with a strap!
I WAS AT SIX FLAGS GREAT AMERICA YESTERDAY TOO
How does this thing not do an entire loop? Feels like an incredible missed opportunity.
