It did replace Dare Devil Dive but Revolution was right in the center of the games midway in County Fair and now shading structures are in its place. But I guess it technically did replace Revolution in a way since that ride was made obsolete. Also fun fact! Revolution started its life at Six Flags Great Adventure in 1999 as Pendulum untill 2003 when it was moved here in 2004. Miss Revy but at least it will live on thanks to Gene Staples and Sky Striker is the spiritual successor in a way! 😊 Can’t wait! Also the park has 15 currently as they said 17 originally because of Eagles two sides and the now defunct Mardi Gras Hangover which was NOT a coaster as it was a Larson Loop.
Dare Devil Dive had been closed for quite awhile so most people recognize that the addition of Sky Striker meant the removal of Revolution (which I loved, RIP). Most of my information was based off of the press release given to us by Six Flags so I apologize for any misinformation! I may have to go visit Niagara Park just to ride Revolution again someday. 😅
I did it today. IMO (by far) the most intense ride of the park. I've been on almost everything in the park many times except this and Maxx Force. The first half of the ride was fun but I felt myself hyperventilating on the second half of the swings when going full force. You have so much air pushed in your face and the insane speed and G's got me pretty good. I didn't like how tight the restraints were on it either - noticed at the beginning it was restricting full breathing - I think that's partly why I maybe started hyperventilating - I couldn't control but I found myself just taking very rapid and shallow breaths at the tops of the swings which never happened to me on any of the other rides in this park. Not actually that enjoyable to me unfortunately because it induced this hyperventilation, but I'm glad I at least can say I have done it now. I wouldn't want to ride it again.
Having rode it the first day of operation, and then again a week later, I feel like they have ramped up the intensity the more they have run it and gotten the kinks out. I have ridden it four times now and the fourth may have been my last, I started freaking out pretty bad once it got close to max height. I NEVER felt like that during Media Day or the commerical shoot the following day. It is INTENSE for sure!!
@@anneinwonderland9865 I'm glad someone else shares the sentiment. You are so brave to do 4 rides omg. That's exactly right, I kinda just panicked when it started to get max swings - it just like beyond what I could handle. I wasn't sure I was going to be like ok either... I can appreciate a thrill ride is supposed to give you a thrill but I think everyone has different limits and sadly this one tapped mine. I can do any coaster no problem but yeah, maybe the sustained G's each swing or the tight harness or something got me but I was actually hyperventilating on the damn thing and it sucked. I'm glad I did it though so I don't end up experiencing that in my future, haha! It's kind of sad because I did enjoy the first half of the ride, but it just simply got too intense with those full swings as the ride went on. Took me by surprise too because I felt confident it would be no biggie going into it.
@@ryanguy6789 I totally agree. I will give it another go just to do a night ride because I really want to see how different it will be, but I feel like I need to take a Xanax before I do after the last time. 😅 My husband was so shaken after doing it a second time that we actually had to leave the park, and this is a guy that does Fiddler's Fling over and over!
@@anneinwonderland9865 Yeah and I don't think people express it openly. Like you would not know looking at me coming off that ride how horrible it was for me. I was thinking about this - like I observed people coming off and they didn't seem super shaken by it but in reality I realize I wouldn't have appeared so either. So, it probably does freak out a bigger portion of people than it looks like if you are just observing people coming off. Good luck on your night ride - haha - I am pretty confident a Xanax couldn't do the trick for me! :)
@@ryanguy6789 So true! Though I will admit after photographing this ride for quite awhile that's a big trigger for upchucking. 😅 If it's down it's probably due to a "protein spill"...
It really is a neat looking ride! Six Flags does have ownership of my photos so I do not sell them, but I offer them up for free instead (non commercial use only, please do not resell them). Please shoot me an email at annemcdadephoto@gmail.com
Awesome! We’re looking forward to this! (Fellow Junkies here)
Hope you enjoy it!
