A most interesting video as my TF clutch release arm has stuck so replacing with uprated one. Thanks it's been most informative.

SWAMPY: Bottom? ;) What were you referring to?

Good video. Just be aware if you aren’t already that those nice shiny new hoses are only for a car with PRT thermostat, so you will need to bung one in and remove the one from the usual spot at the back of the engine.

@@DoubleDuckGarage no, my cars have it fitted. It’s pretty straightforward though I think.

@@DoubleDuckGarage . I converted mine to PRT with custom made pipes, make sure you turn the existing thermostat into a blank by cutting out the central bits.

@@DoubleDuckGarage yes it can be done; have a look at some of the forums, or ask around on the Facebook groups. I think the main thing is ensuring your coolant system is in the best condition possible, so a new radiator might pay more dividends than ‘just’ moving the stat.

@@DoubleDuckGarage I have a Late model rad with twin fans to install at some point. Like you, I have too many projects though. I’m giving serious thought to turning my spares car into a track day car, so this is a great series!

@@DoubleDuckGarage . I just copied the standard setup. It you placed it by the radiator that creates a much larger internal circuit which would slow the engine warm up. I have seen diagrams of that for an Elise, bit it's beyond my comfort zone! That said I had a PRT jam closed and it caused overheating, the lesson being to replace it every so many years.

Good job. You will clear the engine Bay before put back subframe?

@@DoubleDuckGarage This is a good time to remove corrosion inside the engine bay and to clean and repaint the frame. With a well-made gasket, there should be no problems. With improved water channels with a newer position of the thermostat, it should be ok. It is a very good engine with a brilliant design for the time when it was created. Sorry to see nothing happening in Longbridge 😐 Awesome movies, I like watching you work on the car. I'm waiting for the next 😉 I love my TF, greetings from Poland 😉
