I found that if your get rid of the sleeping bag stuff sack it just stuff bietter into the seat post creating more room over the last 6 years of doing different bikepacking setup I found the sercret is to pack in section ie each bag has a job one food one sleep system one tools etc and the next level is after all your gear and food water is on your bike you still have a few liters of free space left . The small bag for shipping just to carry from shop to your bike and unload

This is an insane loadout. What’s your total bike weight with it all loaded?

All in without water - 43.5lb.

Any thoughts on the Rev-elate vs Ortlieb and Apidura? Looking at my first purchase for a touring/gravel bike setup. Thanks in advance.

Michael Bartlett I’ve used all three and ended up with the expedition stuff from apidura. They beat Revelate on a few things. Waterproofness / nicer thought in design, there is always something to tuck that strap into with apidura. The newer Ortlieb stuff actually looks pretty good. Just go with 100% waterproof stuff. That’s my only recommendation really! 😎

John Br0 Thanks, I appreciate the feedback and agree it’s the little things in the design can go a long way in the end. Apidura it is 👍🏽

How this packing setup work flow like as looks like everything is every where why don’t you have all gear together that you use at the same time and kept in the same place

Bikepacking this setup works for me 🙂 I know where everything is - so can easily get to it when needed.

Bikepacking those are cool - don’t you find the arch of your foot hurts if you run around in them too much? I have some more slim line shoes but brought the ones with more support - as we’ll be doing a fair amount of walking.
