We, as historians should be thoroughly ashamed of ourselves. Ignoring the significance of He for so long in fear of upsetting the status quo, and possibly in order to stop all history books being reduced to simply concluding, "It was him", just for the sake of marketable historiography.
I'm less confident in my early theories of it being El Cid or Andres Iniesta, I did think it more likely to be a leader of The Syndicalists or The POON from the 1930's, but the new information about the mystical She and her links to The Philippines suggest something earlier in Iberian history.
A colleague has a mad idea linking the finding of elephant bones on Olympus Mons by the Mars Rover to the possibility that it might be Hannibal, but I think He's Barca up the wrong tree.

      Who is the HE?
A fine hypothesis you've come up with. Maybe we're digging too deep though? HE might simply be high explosive, which might turn out to be a lot older than we thought previously. Maybe Greek Fire wasn't all that for it's time after all.
Of course we could simply state the usual historian mantra of saying we don't know without sounding too silly.
"He was possibly used for ceremonial purposes."

He was born in Ciudad Real in Spain, at an early age he exhibited signs of superhuman power. At the age of 10 he was as strong as a 30 year old man, and was measured at an IQ of 400, the highest ever score, but it was covered up French officials who wanted to uphold the view that France was superior to Spain. He showed a keen interest in politics at an early age, and at the age of 15 he had mastered marxist theory and wrote a communist manifesto of his own. Fearing a revolution, spanish officials issued an arrest warrant and made him wanted throughout Spain. Not knowing what to do, his parents sent him to live with an uncle in Germany.
While there He continued his path in politics, making contacts with communist supporters, some of which would prove instrumental in later successes. After the failde 1905 revolution in Russia, He was contacted by Vladimir Lenin, who had found him through a mutual contact in Germany. It wasnt until the outbreak of WW1 however when He was forcibly drafte to the German army and sent to the eastern fron, that they came in contact. He decided to desert the army, and fled to Russia, being aided by communist sympathizers. In Russia He climbed the ranks and soon found himself one of the top leaders of the revolutionaries. In fact, he was the main influence and strategist for the 1917 communist revolution, having influenced and persuaded Lenin, earning him the nickname, "the youngets son of the revolution". This involvement was later buried and covered up by Stalin. After the death of Lenin, He found himself at odds with the communist parties, not agreeing with the policies of Stalin, and furious for not getting the recognision and credit he deserved for his involvement in the revolution, Stalin had covered as he feared He would become the head of the communist party. After the Soviet invasion of Poland, He found himself ousted from the communist party and exiled after having publically expressed his opposition to the plan. Feeling that he had been betrayed by fellow revolutionaries who didnt support him, but not being able to bring himself to join an armed fight againts the Soviets, He defected to the UK who after witnessing his superhuman strength and power sent him to the war. His time in the British Isles however had changed him, He no longer wanted for the Soviet Union, not daring to return to Spain, he instead joined the many brits travelling overseas to the United States.
It was in the States that He reached the full extent of his power, joining Nasa in 1950, after discovering he could fly. He was made a spy and sent all over the world to gather intelligence and carry out operations behind enemy lines. While doing so He also became more adept at flying, culminating in his journey to Mars and Jupiter after the Planetary Communist Confederacy of Jupiter had declared their support for the Soviets in order to fulfill their goal, a united communist Milky Way. After He had carried out operations, Jupiter was left no more than an empty wasteland. Of course this was all covered up by the United States in order to not reveal their most valuable asset.
