    Because it’s a cap lock it should be blued or left in the white a flint lock should be browned or also left in the white and personally I like blonde stocks

    just a quick suggestion, only use that ramrod for decorative reasons. get a good quality range rod to use. I have saw many wooden ones break and end up through ones hand in one side and out the other. on that note, obviously if you hunt with it, you would carefully use the wooden one as most.limely you will not take a.range rod hunting.
    take care and enjoy blowing some.smoke with that thing. it is a blast!

      DjPorkchop73 I don't plan on hunting with it but I still might use the rod, I'll just use my head and not ram it down with excessive force and use the brass end as a handle.

    I just started this project and would like to know from you how long it took you in man-hours to complete? I am looking forward to it, but I don't know where to start and any suggestions from you would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and good video!

      AP-Atlas I'm not sure how long it took but start with your barrel. Brown it or blue it. Then take your time on the stock.

    Do you have to video yourself doing the projects to show that you actually did the work?

      @raythegunsmith  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes and no. some require it and others don't. it depends on the lesson and will be stated on the submission page.

    Im just going to do a cold blue on mine and a dark stain on the stock

    • @raythegunsmith
      @raythegunsmith  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      James W I want to avoid doing cold blue but with shortage of funds and not much time to get it done I might go with that

    • @duckhunter1993

      Yeah that is the only reason that I am going with cold blue as well. May redo it later on.

    Dude, I'm taking the same degree. I didn't get this kit. I haven't taken the stock fitting and metal work lab or the stock checkering lab yet. Is this what you get for that course now? I have about 12 weeks left. Feel free to message me back. We can swap contact information.

      Depends on the course you're taking, they send all supplies for the course you're about to take about a week before you start.

      I have a stock fitting lab to take. It may be part of that. I also have my full capstone project.

      Shamrock Jim yeah if you have a stock fitting lab you may get this kit. I know we were told it's a pilot course so we're trying it out for them.
