Nice, especially vs. two big time pros. Added to CB-38 IMPS: Contract Bridge Bidding and Play Analysis. BTW, is 3C a Leaping Michaels variant? Could use a video on aspects of that convention -- very scarce stuff on it out there.
Is it safer to discard a diamond one one side and a heart on the other once west gets in with the ace of clubs? We get rid of 2 losers for the price of one AND west is still on the lead and has to bring as yet annother trick. This way we are not reliant on the position of the ten of hearts.
At trick #10 if East plays the ten of hearts South covers with the King and loses to West's ace. With West in the lead, South's 9x of hearts will provide a winner if West leads hearts. If West leads a club, South can ruff and pitch a heart.
Brilliant Curt. Thanks

That was my first thought too. But East wins C8 and leads a heart and you are down.
