    Why the hell isn't this going viral??!?!? I need to be able to capture the essence of walking the way you do. I wish we were able to do the Isle of Skye this year.

      My wife and I did some day hikes in the highlands, including Isle of Skye and we were just blown away. Looks like you didn't have the best of weather - that was one thing we had going for us with mostly sunny days during late May. Nonetheless, the views are phenomenal in any condition. Hoping to get back there soon. Nicely done!

    It’s amazing how you have convey the beauty of the island. It gives such a remarkable insight to those who sadly will never visit. 🙏

      @@ElielHerleviPhotography hahaha you're welcome, you deserve it! If you don't mind me asking, is there a long-distance hike that you recommend? I've got a few long-distance hikes under my belt and I'm looking for a new one for my next adventure 😊

    • @ElielHerleviPhotography

      Depends entirely which ones you've done before! In the UK (where I live) I've done lots of long-distance hikes but the one that I would really recommend is the West Highland Way, if Scotland is your thing. I think it's by far the best in terms of getting tons of amazing scenery with not too much effort in the sense that it's waymarked really well and you can pretty much just take in the sights while you walk without having to think too much. In England, I'd say the Cumbria Way (I just did that in April and will soon publish a video from that trip), although there you do need to navigate quite a bit. The Skye Trail is of course another one that has incredible scenery but it can get dangerous with the weather if you're unlucky. From Finland I could recommend just hiking to Halti and back or doing Karhunkierros. In two weeks I will be hiking in Iceland so if you asked me again after that maybe I'd just recommend the Laugavegur trail 😂 Too many to choose from!

    非常喜欢这个视频,它的拍摄角度具有美学价值,淋漓尽致地展现了天空岛的自然魅力。I like this video very much. Its shooting Angle is of aesthetic value and shows the natural charm of sky Island incisively and vividly.

    Memories back! Thank you. Been twice on Isle of Skye and of course the weather is an issue :) I am not a lover wet and windy conditions :) but watching your footage with background music giving me "excuse" :) to come back again. Last year I walked WHW and Snowdonia Way and Isle of Skye Trail would be really challenging.

    • @ElielHerleviPhotography
      @ElielHerleviPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Glad you liked it 🙏🏻 And yes, the weather isn't always fun but the way I see it is if you endure the weather, you'll get the views. :) I've done WHW and Snowdonia Way too, absolutely loved them! But Skye trail is like you said one level up when it comes to the difficulty. Most of it is quite easy to navigate but up on the ridge the mist can make you lose your way easily and it's not easy to get back down from there. With good weather though the ridge especially is the best walk you could ever make. Good luck if you decide to go!

    Hi Eliel, this was stunning, beautiful! I really enjoyed it! My brother an law and me hiked the Quiraing in 2017, we loved it. Unfortunately, that time I wasn't so keen on videography yet. I have to come back there with my camera. Thanks for your awesome video, you area a great videographer, very inspiring. Hello from Switzerland

      Thank you so much! Glad to be able to give you a refresher of your Quiraing hike. I'm in the same situation as you, having done several hikes in 2017-2019 but not filming them properly.. Well I've fixed that now so you can expect more videos like this in the future. :) Again thank you for your kind words and hello from England/Finland! 🙏

      Thanks! For this video I used Lumix S5 with the standard 20-60mm lens. Drone shots with Mavic Air 2. But honestly, it's not about the gear really. I've shot some pretty good stuff with just a smart phone, like last week in Scotland (next video is coming soon!) where I used iPhone 12 a lot. Hope this helps!

    Very nice. How much water did you have to carry along the trail? Many water sources along the trail to filter water ?

    • @ElielHerleviPhotography
      @ElielHerleviPhotography  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! Water isn't an issue on this trail, there are enough campsites, towns etc. to get water and also enough streams and rivers as long as you can make it safe - personally I've always used water purification tablets and never had any issues. We both carried 0.75l water bottles and that was enough. 👍🏻
