The German racist radio “personality” lost his radio show. It was a government-run radio station so they couldn’t easily fire him so they gave him an editing job and a one-hour, once a month podcast. Karma is an ARMY. Great reaction. I’m always glad when people know the backstory. And it does help explain why ARMYs all over the world are so fiercely protective of the boys.
@@LoveTheBasics Still waiting to see what will come of the book he supposedly plans to write about this experience with "hysteric fans and cancel culture"
As a German army I still remember how exhausting and mentally challenging the days after fix you cover release were. We didn't only fight against the "joke" the radio host made but against racism and xenophobia on a public radio show in general. I remember crying out of anger numerous times.. especially when German netizens jumped on the bandwagon and defended the racist behavior on the show. When his book actually gets published, I'm leaving Germany for real...
I listened a lot to that radio up until a few years ago, and the host actually was from the same town I was from. What I found weird was that I actually didn't see a lot about the entire incident in German media, and when I did, it was mostly "pro" Bayern3 (the radio station) - but it was so clear that was he said was more than just problematic? Even my mother realized that, and she neither is a fan of BTS nor does she get involved in a lot of online stuff
I'll be honest with u. I know about this hamburger incident, BUT I haven't watched it with my own eyes. Whenever I stumble upon this incident's clips, I look away, I don't think I'll ever be able to watch the look on kookie's face. Just by hearing it breaks my heart, bring tears to my eyes. I won't EVER watch that. Even in this clip I looked away. He is just a sweet hearted boy. He didn't deserved it.
It's disgusting. Like be greatful at least. He was a young guy, trying to get off on a good foot with his cast members. Nervous as hecc, and i don't see them bringing anything to greet each other! He's a freaking polite young kid trying to be nice!
SUGA also told that he's been studying psychology and that he wants to be certified for psychological counseling to help people. He wrote many songs where he shares his experience with mental health, which was rare in South Korea because it is taboo. He is very open about mental health and he knows how to address this topic, he reminds us that talking about it should be normalized
Also I would like to talk about their map of the soul which is from Carl Jung's psychoanalysis how they did Intro:persona Interlude: shadow Outro:Ego That shows how intelligent they are to a pop band to talk about psychology in their album and make it enjoyable for the fans and push the fans to understand about mental health that's why I say they are not just a boyband I hate people and media comparing them and say they are korean One direction which is completely wrong (no hate towards 1D I love their music but BTS is on whole another stratosphere compared to them also 1D's management exploited them where as Bighit pushed them to be real artists ) pardon my english 💜
@@anjanamarakkatteri8617 I can't agree more with you. You are so right. I feel the same. Your English is good, don't apologise you are just a great human being💜
when i first saw this fancam i was also tryna figure out who wasn't there. I instantly noticed there were only six, and while they were performing my eyes were searching like "there's jimin, oh hobi, jin, jk, tae, uuhhhh, of and suga.... OOOH RM'S NOT THERE WAIT WHAT HAPPENED TO RM" and then i started freaking out before looking up what actually happened. 😂
Okay, I'll explain the military thing just in case. So, the law has been revised in a way that Kpop idols can postponed the service enlistment till the age 30, only if they have received the order of order of cultural merit. The Order of Cultural Merit is one of South Korea's orders of merit. It is awarded by the President of South Korea for "outstanding meritorious services in the fields of culture and art in the interest of promoting the national culture and national development. BTS received the 5th class Hwagwan Order of cultural merit [flower crown] in 2018. And, the people who've received that order so far is Kim Ji-young in 1998 Bae Yong-joon in 2008 Kim Namjoon in 2018 Kim seok-jin in 2018 Min yoongi in 2018 Jung Hoseok in 2018 Park Jimin in 2018 Kim taehyung in 2018 Jeon Jungkook in 2018 BTS are the youngest recipients of the merit. And, it is incredibly hard to get this award. Now, to be at least eligible to be nominated for the order, you need to serve in the music industry for at least 15 years (BTS was a special case due to all their achievement and what they've done). And, this makes it absolutely impossible for the other groups to have a chance with postponement given that the time for enlistment would already be due by the time they get nominated. The government basically found a loop-hole to solve this problem by revising the law in such a way that'll benefit BTS who was the main topic when it comes to such discussions while not quite helping the others.
the law doesn't really benefit bts either because apparently they still have to apply for this rule to come into effect for them and we all know that the moment bts applies they will receive hell. ( they are already getting so much shit even though they are literally one of the only groups whose company didn't push for exemption.) this law really sets them up for more hate than anything else.
Not only that, but they also worked their asses off in practicing singing and dancing and looking out for their looks. There were days where Jimin ate one mean every 10 days to lose weight. Yoongi trained for years and years with a painful shoulder because he didn't want to get a surgery as it would stop him from performing for a while. Jungkook passed out in between two songs in a concert and he still got up and kept performing till the end... And there's still a lot. I love those boys to death but even if I wasn't a fan I could admit that they absolutely deserve everything they got.
@@crankdattaytay yes, as Suga says to his fans "you are perfect just the way you are, if you loose 1 gram I will get upset" Love yourself as long as you have healthy habits it is all it counts. Jimin did it as a victim of the huge criticism to his persona and social pressure and now he fight for people to be accepted just the way they are. 💜
THANK YOU FOR THIS REACTION,, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS GIVE PEOPLE A CHANCE AND NOT JUST SAY '' I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY'RE SAYING '' OR '' WHY ARE THEY WEARING MAKEUP '' ,, non of the ARMY were fans but the difference is we gave BTS a chance and heard them out.
@@LoveTheBasics I´m from Latinoamerica and can tell you that's here (and in most part of the world) people listen to music in their own language and also in English, while English speakers usually only listen to music in English. Even if not everybody is fluent in English we still listen to Taylor Swift or Justin Bieber, so I think it's really unfair when I hear English speakers says that BTS shouldn't get recognition just because they don't speak in their Language, especially when it comes from others artists because i'm sure they have some international fans too. So thank you so much for your reactions and respect towards BTS!! I enjoy a lot yours videos!! (sorry for the bad english)
I've watched the Eurovision for the past 30+ years, and found many a song that I love that's not in English, or any other language that I know. Actually lyrically Eurovision has declined since they started allowing artists not to sing in their native tongue, which resulted in most countries now submitting songs in English.
I mean, heck, just look at Wembley! Non-Korean speaking ARMY learned how to sing Young Forever as a surprise for them. Not to mention countries around the world learn the words to popular English music.
I feel like they missed a few things. There are two things that I think should have been in there 1. Their almost-disbandment in 2018. It should have been in the video because the reason they almost disbanded was because of the hardships, even if it was just briefly mentioned 2. Suga's shoulder injury. He got hit by a motorcycle and had to leave for 3 months to receive and recover from surgery. 3 months without a member that so many people love had to have been really challenging. Yeah lol
I swear to (fill in your favorite entity), I could hear us all yell NOOOOOO across the globe when Jin revealed that to us. I could hear my heart cracking into pieces. I still can't watch it without weeping.
And the saddest part is that Yoongi struggled with shoulder pain for so many years, and he basically hid his injury back in the day because he didn’t want to get kicked out of the group.
@@LoveTheBasics Suga's accident was in 2011/2012 if i'm not mistaken, it was during him doing his part time job as delivery. He held the pain since then. I'm glad that he recovered now
It was a mental and emotional pressure they were facing more than 'hardships' that led them to think of disbandment. They were scared of such heights and not knowing how they'd land..
To be honest the whole "I don't understand what they're saying because it's in Korean and I can't sing along to their songs" is such a close minded thought that I've seen English native speakers have (mostly Americans). I'm from Mexico and Spanish is my native language and I've been listening to songs that are in English my whole life even if I didn't know the language I grew up singing them as I heard them. Of course I wasn't saying the words correctly but that was never an obstacle to me to enjoy the songs and sing along as much as I wanted. I was 12 when I started learning English and the experience to finally know what the song is about and to be able to sing it correctly was amazing. Nowadays people have access to translations to at least know what the songs are about, so that's also a plus. So, I think English native speakers that don't listen to music that's in a different language because they don't understand and they can't sing along to the song are really missing on really good music. I listen to songs that are in Korean, Japanese, Italian, French, German, etc and I enjoy them as much as I enjoy songs that are in the languages I can speak and understand (English and Spanish). So to you and anyone that's reading this that feels that can't enjoy music in different languages because they can't sing along to them, I recommend you to try it and be more open minded and sing along eventhough you can't pronounce the words correctly. If you're alone in the car listening to music and singing the words wrong its not like bts are there to judge you, obviously you won't sing it perfectly because you don't know the language but that can't stop you from enjoying music as you want.
exactly... Personally I also do not understand Korean. But this really hasn't been an obstacle for me to listen to their music . their songs have English phrases, catchy music and there are quite a few in which the member's emotions can be felt . Further in this age I absolutely do not see a reason why people cannot understand the meaning as translations are available on websites , videos and the MV itself . Well I'd just like to assume that they are finding excuses for not liking a Kpop group. Personally when I just discovered kpop.. the lyrics did not matter to me.. their music, choreo, discography etc were good enough to grab my attention. Now if I want to know the meaning of the lyrics .. I just search it up.
100% agree. English/American music is popular all around the world. I also listened to it before I learned English. You can definitely enjoy music even if you don't understand the language! I wish people were more open to that because they miss out on a lot!
Same. I'm German and most older generations don't even understand English but bash down on "Asians/Chinese". (The " " because many people don't care if the person is Thai, Korean, Indonesian etc., they just call them Asian or Chinese because they are ignorant af.)
@@raba9_7 Well I can't agree more ... People refer to most Asians as Chinese .. without knowing how much they are generalizing different people's roots and culture. Like one can't change overnight but... they surely can if they try . Well there's the problem .. not many people are calling out such behavior in an appropriate way so that they realize their mistake and maybe change.
Wait it sponsored? Hell yeah, get that bag! Btw, it makes me happy that you take the time to rewind and make sure you understand what's going on, instead of pretending to understand.
i kinda wish the video included more about 2017 because that is when bts got their first billboard award for top social artist (even tho multiple fandoms and antis teamed up against them and voted for justin bieber so that bts doesn't win) but everyone was degrading their achievement saying how its just a paper award and its not an actual award.. also it was when the boys were kinda starting their journey in the west and i can remember they had to face so much racism back then like in radio shows or talk shows little racist comments were everywhere
People always say that you come into BTS when you need them most and it’s something i experienced for myself when i fully came into them during a really difficult time back in 2019. So every time i hear about them being downplayed and disrespected it feels like a personal attack. These boys mean so much more to us than any of these dumbasses can even begin to comprehend, yet we as their fans are always seen as “little teenage girls” or as “insane” for simply standing up for them when they may not be able to stand up for themselves. yet sports fanatics turn over a whole car in the midst of rage at a team lost and they’re seen as just being upset and ained by the lost. it really baffles me. we are protective of them because they have gone through so much shit just trying to do what they love and yet they continue to share music with us and think of us and find the time to share bits and pieces of themselves and it just makes me feel so cared for. getting into them was the first time i had ever been so into an artist and felt like they actually cared.
It’s the same for me too. Back in the end of 2019 to early 2020 I was in a really dark place. I was dealing with self-hatred and a lot more that I won’t mention here. BTS really did save me and I just wonder why I didn’t look into them or become an army back when I first heard about them in 2018 by a classmate. They saved me literally. I was Suicidal for a long time and I still have those thoughts till this day. But bts reminds me to never give up and push myself further. Their songs for us armies and especially ‘butterfly’ and ‘spring day’ really helped me. I have a lot more to say but I can only write so much in a reply. And I definitely relate to it feeling like a personal attack because chances are I still wouldn’t be here today without them. They made me feel like I actually matter and because of that I am forever greatful
@@lunimous3479 youre right. and i completely understand where you’re at coming from. there music just feels like a big hug. a pat on the back saying “i hear you, it’s okay, i understand what you’re going through but we’re here for you.” and every time i hear their songs certain ones just make me cry. 2!3! , mikrokosmos, hell even their solo songs alone. they just show how much they truly care for us by putting out music that are directly meant to help us. And out of all the artists i have liked and still to this day occasionally listen to, none of them have ever made me feel seen and cared for like BTS do. so taking it personal when BTS is concerned is the bare minimum for me.
It certainly feels like a personal attack; and that's when i get so touchy when my siblings judge and downplay BTS; i feel like they're judging me because i like BTS. Yet they won't let me explain BTS' story and why i like them. I once asked my brother why he doesn't like them, and he said "Well, it's so annoying when you get excited over them and sing their songs all over the house, and they use AuToTuNe and sing in Korean, so I can't understand them. They also use fake music." Well, he's into the old music and I GET THAT I FRIGGIN LOVE OLD ROCK MUSIC AND STUFF but like..... AHHHH
I come into BTS a few months ago when I needed them most and they’re currently helping me through my difficulties. People say I’m obsessed and I’m not. They’re saving me
They have gone through a lot. That’s why ARMYs are so protective. They deserve the whole world and more. We have been growing bigger a lot and capable enough to not let these things happen to them again.
I've been watching ALL of your videos since you started reacting to BTS (I really meant the word "all") aaaand I don't know, I just like your reactions so I've been watching and waiting for your videos (which is something I never did for other reactors) and I feel like I already know what are the things that can make you laugh, loss for words and amazed.
Regarding only 6 members performing…other groups from larger companies had performed before without all members present. Even last year, when Suga had to heal from his shoulder surgery..their performances were broadcasted. What’s the difference? Power. Depending on your company’s power and influence…you can have air time. I think if you watch/read about the dark side of Kpop or how kpop operates in general, you’ll understand the full reality of what Antis are, the grip the broadcasting networks has on the music industry, the privilege but also downside to being in a large influential company is and the true impact of how BTS succeeded despite all this. I’ve followed Kpop since 2004 and left in disgust when I realized how dark it was…BTS brought me back..but only to listen to them…once your eyes has been opened..it’s kinda hard to enjoy the music.
The only thing that BTS and ARMYs want was respect. Yes, it is needed to be earned but BTS did more than that. And people from their country and outside didn't give them that, that's why ARMYs are SO protective about the boys. They have gone through so much and I have always admired them for being so strong among all this. They're also the reason why countless of people learned to love themselves, because no one else will. Thanks, Alex for watching this!
Because of conservative Korean social system. So, it means a hierarchical society with a leisure class(including big companies) at the top can produce. Large companies dominate small companies and prevent them from growing. Some of haters get rewards under the table.
if you want some answers about their constant hate in the past, I HIGHLY recommend to watch "Why is BTS mistreated in Korea?"... it has A LOT to do with the BIG 3 (the biggest 3 music companies in South Korea)
I have experienced that disapproval attitude from friend and staff from big 3 companies who held personal prejudice and opinion biased kind of looking down BTS as so called ‘ insider’ . I felt that immediate dislike which surprised me in 2017. I was in label business like her just I don’t work in Korea. And I remember her remarks about BTS that left me speechless ’ they just kept appealing to their fans’ and all I can say is ‘ oh I quite like their music , especially lyrics’. I feel bad for I really like that friend at that time.
As a 50 year old feminist myself, I have to say that the misogyny accusation were really feeble too. They centre around the songs War of Hormone and Boy in Love and I don't have time to write an in depth explanation, but even if you ignore the context (they are talking about teen boys' immature and unsophisticated reaction to girls they like) and the humour intended in these songs they are mild by any measure.
the 'misogynistic' lyrics trended around are mistranslated too, a lot of people jumped on the hate train before even understanding the context and situation
I agree... I heard about those misogyny accusations, so I looked up the lyrics and thought, "That's it? Well, if that's the only problematic thing about BTS, then I guess they're pretty damn perfect.". There are so many artists whose lyrics are much worse and who are barely criticized for it, but BTS are somehow judged much more harshly.
Exactly! I almost burst a blood vessel trying to explain this point to brain dead ppl. I’m 45. And some snowflakes really walk around with water for brain. I cut those ppl out of my life.
I really love this guy so much, he started off just reacting to BTS's MV and now he is actually acknowledging all BTS's efforts, I was watching some of Alex's videos for BTS MV and he shown many pure genuine reactions to how BTS is committed to arts and he literally had nothing bad to say against BTS unlike all those awful peoples mentioned in this video and not mentioned in this video as well. I'm really glad that Alex actually recognizes BTS for their efforts, dedication, and achievements.
The k-pop industry can be a harsh task master but Bts' reaction to all the controversies and their choice to grow through it all is why I love and admire them! The "anti's" or the "ones that don't like them" are usually hardcore fans of other groups and the rivalry between k-pop groups can be gnarly! As far as any international folks that don't like them it seems that is usually due to preconceived ideas of k-pop or actual racism.
I am a 67 year old Army. I discovered these amazing boys in 2015, and almost instantly became a fan. As to my age, I have of course listened to hundreds of other music artists, but have never witnessed the amount of hate these boys get. I honestly don't understand it. WHY? I can understand that maybe not liking their music, but the extent of the vicious attacks such as death threats just boggles my mind. Are you so immature that you think saying these things makes you sound cool? I just don't get it. I know that the internet makes it easier for someone to do these things, but it's really sad and pathetic that your life must be so lame and joyless that this type of immature, stupid, and pointless stuff is how you get your rocks off.
just yesterday vmas nominees were announced, and butter got nominated for “best kpop” and i personally see an issue on this. why is a song entirely in english nominated in the kpop category ? is it because they are korean ? so now its based on race/ethnicity ? life goes on could have been nominated instead, an actual song in korean that got #1 on billboard, or even a song by txt. its honestly really annoying how they keep boxing bts, and not putting them in major categories. also they weren’t nominated for artist of the year. thats honestly so ridiculous, with all the records they have shattered and being the most streamed act in 2020 and 2021 so far, surpassing all other western artists, it’s extremely unfair that they are not put into this category. jobros were nominated for this category in 2019, so its a fact that groups can be put into this category.
and they didn´t even nominated BTS as artis of the year wich is funny, I mean you are not nominating the artist who's been dominated the charts since last year? what a joke. I'm not even surprised, but still, I'm dissapoined, when is this mistreating going to end?
it's normal to hate categories like latin pop or best kp0p because those are separatist categories. We are not going to accept categories that segregate POC artists. Why there aren't categories like best UK-pop, best Canadian artist, best American artist, best Australian artist, best UK artist, etc, etc?
*I think* the reason bts got so much hate is because: 1) in the kpop community groups which don't belong to the big three(sm, yg, jyp) don't usually make much noise, they may get famous but they don't usually make it to the top. But when bts debuted many stans were threatened (?) cuz they came out with a concept which was very unique. Not to forget that they're coreo was a hard asf, they were amazing since debut and people already started thinking that they might become huge which lead to people and stans of other groups trying to bring them down. There's a say in streets that one of the big 3 wanted to buy bts just so that they can make bts disband, thankfully bangpd, ceo of bighit didn't let that happen cuz he believed in bts.(this actually happened to a few bands before, when a band from a small company is growing and they seem to threaten a band from big 3 or any other big company, they get brought and eventually disband) There were a lot of within the industry tactics and what not to bring down bts. Companies indirectly encouraged fans to go against bts too. 2)as for international, the main reason is that they are not English speaking. And not to forget that kpop industry in general has this weird kind of bad reputation (I honestly dk why) Even now media puts bts down when ever they can.Even in 2020, bts songs were not there on inkigayo charts. There's a saying within the fandom, "bts are treated like the legends they are everywhere, except their homeland" I wonder how long people will take to realise that putting bts down in no way will effect the boys cuz they've got army✌️
you don't have to learn korean to sing along to their songs :) when you've listened to them enough, you can def pronounce phrases. would it be perfect, no. I've only been listening to BTS since MOTS7 came out, and to songs like On, Black Swan, and Moon that I listened to on repeat when I first found them, I can sing along for quite a bit of it :) again not perfect, but you can still interact with these songs!
Their entire journey of being excluded and ignored by their own country is the reason why ARMYs don’t want to consider BTS as Kpop. BTS worked hard on their own, paved their own way, made their own success, and put their own names out there without receiving anything but hate and scoffs from the Kpop industry, and no way do we want the very industry that ostracized and looked down on them to now benefit from them. BTS isn’t Kpop, they’re BTS music.
exactly, they´re BTSn they´re Bangtan Sonyeondan, that´s their name, why should we box them with kpop when the industry ignored them since their debut and to this day they keep turning their backs on them
36:49 "I can't sing along to it unless I learn Korean" Or do like me and butcher the Korean words then proudly yell out the English words when they come up 😂 French is my first language and I didn't understand English very well growing up but it didn't stop me from singing along to English songs.
You’re one of the only reactors that are genuinely interested and happy to take apart the anatomy of their lives. It’s so nice to someone actually take their time and understand !
i'm going to watch this tomorrow ( it's 3 am for me and i need to sleep )😢 but i'm going to see the first thing when i wake up😆😚💜💜💜 ..... so Exciting😖 but thank you for the video 😊you have become one of my top 3 favorite reactor 😊🤗💜keep going and don't rush yourself , stay heathy 😉🤗
'war of hormone' is not even misogynistic, It's literally just about teenage boys being into girls and stuff, these stupid haters don't even know the meaning of the word misogyny and just want to have excuses for their hate for bts, I appreciate RM so much for being so considerate and carefull when writing lyrics after that, but It's really unfair if you put yourself in his shoes, imagine trying to create an artwork and have to constantly take advice and ask people if this line is okay if this offends anyone or not, that's what artworks are about, they're meant to recieve different reactions from people, BTS are too humble sometimes. I just want to clarify that at least, they did nothing wrong.
This. Like army itself is split on the validity of people obsessing over that song and lyrics... personally that’s still one of my favorite songs and I’ll forever be sad I’ll never get to see it live because people threw it out of proportion. I do think it’s interesting to consider if the same sort of backlash would have even happened if it was made by a western artist (I think we all know the answer).
Yeah.. that's also one of my fav song. That song is so catchy. Tbh when i listening to that song for the first time i was like waiting for the controversial lyric to come out.. but turns out it was okay for me. It's not that controversial comparing to western artist lyric. And the next thing i know, i repeat that song for many times then.. Sorry for my bad english. I hope you got my point.
Ikr!! I'm a female and I'm was not offended by the song. And I don't know what people were expecting when the title of the song is WAR OF HORMONE....atleast BTS didn't hid behind that trying to act innocent thing. I've even seen worse lyrics than that but those people don't get criticized...
so the other entertainment companies put BTS on a pedestal to say hey, look at all they do for koreas image around the world, all kpop idols should be exempt from service, or have it postponed. when bighit and bts were never part of these discussions. then the government says ok, those artists that have received the special order of merit get an extra 2 years before they have to serve. BTS are the youngest recipients of that award. People that qualify for it are usually muuuuuch older. So, the revision pretty much means only BTS can currently take advantage of it. So now, the companies that pleaded for change, say the change is unfair and want it stricken. because if they can't have it, they don't want bts to have it. thats how i understand it.
Hi Alex! Thanks so much for your videos. For the BU: can you watch Epiphany and the 2020 update of the BU from xceleste. In the one you watched, she was unsure about a lot but now in that one it’s more detailed and she continues the story from where she stopped For BTS videos in general: I’m very curious about your reaction to Idol. You’ll think it’s very…different and interesting

I saw bts during a time when they were still not popular the amount of hurdles they have jumped is crazy so seeing them succeed is honestly an honor to me their literally the typical story of an underdog finally getting the chance to shine and I hope they get everything they have worked so hard to achieve💜💜💜
The thing that I love is that whenever people would try and bring them down, army would always do something in response to bring them back up or comfort the members 💕
"why do people hate them?" - because they not from the 3 big agency ig . They are just from small company but success in their career . People who have more power than them at that time , jealous of them and use their power just to make BTS gone but they forget that BTS have ARMY who always support them . Even ARMY is not powerful enough at that time but they still manage to give the boys love that they need . And that's explained why BTS and ARMY is not just about artist and fans , WE ARE FAMILY . A BIG FAMILY .
Dude, I love how sincere you are with your eagerness to catch up with the information that Xceleste is talking about. You even took time to pause and rewind the video for clarification. My biggest respect to you man 👍💜 I will be supporting you from now on as I can feel how sincere you are as a person. 🥰
"why" we all want to know the answer to that question. i honestly have no idea how those boys became one of the most hated celebrities out there. they're one of the most unproblematic artists and are actually good, sincere and down to earth people, despite being so popular and successful and they've proved it countless of times. if it was a white, english speaking boyband, most things wouldn't be the way they are.
Actually at 14:59 normally if an artist is injured, the bandmates will perform as scheduled.. nd if the show is cancelling their performance, they have to notify the agency... But they didn't..BTS has been attending shows even when they don't get awards just for fans..to perform. Most artists wouldn't go to save face..And at the end, they didn't even broadcast the performance..It was held after all artists went home but Armies demanded a performance! So proud of Busan Armies
I went to the Fort Worth concert and I remember seeing those threats and being so pissed and worried for him and them. Nothing of course happened and I’m glad the police acknowledged and addressed it but still. Antis can be so pointlessly evil.
I’m so glad I became a fan. I discovered them at the end of 2017 when I needed them most and this shift just occurred in my mental health after finding them. So grateful.
Some people have no idea how many of us BTS have saved. I found BTS at the beginning of this pandemic and that was when at my wit's end. Their lyrics and their love and respect for each other, for their craft, and for their fans are what draws me to them. I'm 40, an Engr and a Prof and I found self love because of these guys. I don't know what would have happened to me if I didn't click on that Mic Drop, The Last, and Blood, Sweat and Tears videos. I will stay with them til the end. Thanks for reacting to this. 💜 And oh, Jimin. How can anyone hate on one of the sweetest boys I've seen? They're just jealous Jimin is pretty, sings great, dances amazingly, and is gifted in martial arts too. I adore that boy so much I can adopt him.
Jimin and his dealings with negative feelings and his image is really important for us to remember too. I think the affect these controversies and comments has on the members in the past and now is overlooked to some extent. They still smile for us, continue to show their best and all because they don't want us to worry. They really look out for us
All about jeolusy from other big companies. They all fell threatened, this happened to others groups from other small companies group. But BTS have Bang Pd and Loyal ARMY. That Three point made BTS go forward, further than Bang PD and BTS dreams. Even with pain and everything.. every member and ARMY was hurts so much. It kinda battle war actually. And good people knew this, gladly hands together became real BTS ARMY too… thats why the boys still humble as they were because they know, they really succeeded because they are all not alone from the begining. Love them so much. Thanks to reacted this. Xceleste made a mild video. The real thing happened was too much pain and worse… this making the bond of Bighit-BTS-ARMy so bold.
And I am glad hybe is taking many new company under them this will make small group idols to have exposure and they won't be under the pressure or threats of any big company
12:54 Believe me, we've been asking ourselves the same damn question for years. Every people they've worked with since the beginning, - from tv station staff to security personnel and even people who clean venues they've been in, whether in Korea or the US - only have good words for the band. They're not perfect but they're definitely humble, respectful, and sincere consistently. But we have a few hunches. In the kpop industry, it's a normal thing that the industry people, like the tv producers and staff, don't treat groups from small companies well. And also, big companies back then have so much influence that they can manipulate tv networks into getting rid of any threat. And BTS were monster rookies, so cutting them from broadcast and denying them stage time was a common practice of those tv networks. So basically every horrible thing BTS went through in the industry were either those in higher positions having power trips or those big companies getting threatened by a potentially winning group such as BTS. One industry insider told a story the other day which happened before BTS got big, one tv prod kept shouting at BTS during stage rehearsal apparently for non-existent mistakes and when J-Hope politely asked that producer to tell them what was wrong so they can fix it, the producer couldn't speak. The boys took all these in silence and we only learn about these incidents from people who witnessed it. With regards to the insufferable antis who endlessly keep giving BTS bs even until now, what we see is plain jealousy and competition. They always think their favorite groups should be the ones having all these successes instead of BTS. That's why they keep thinking of ways to sabotage the boys, who have nothing but positive spirit and kindness. Haters, both in Korea and overseas, are all blinded by their ignorance, hatred and jealousy.
Does this happen to you, too? You work at a job with coworkers and you like it fine. The manager was happy to hire you, but your coworkers never seemed ok with you. Some other things go wrong for you and it’s frustrating and bewildering because you are working efficiently to do your job and for the organization as a whole. Is this a common experience? It was my experience and reason for interviewing to leave my jobs in the past. The part that has to do with this video is the response from trusted confidants, “Oh they’re just jealous”. Has this happened to you? Did you understand what it had to do with jealousy? The video reviewed here answers the question for me. I guess the critics, haters, antis, instigators, and media could see the talent, smart decisions, integrity, or potential of BTS and attempted to crush them to keep them in line, or destroy them. Does that make sense?
Hi Alex, as always I'm glad you are taking the time to react to other videos to help you understand BTS and ARMY better. What is interesting is that on this year's FESTA (BTS celebration of their debut date) RM shared that he never spoke about how hard of the time they had especially for those 3 years, 2015, 2016 and 2017. He knew it was extremely tough for them and for ARMY and that many people hated them! He acknowledged ARMY were trying so hard to protect them and that BTS tried harder than anyone else to prove themselves. Now looking back on those three years, they mean a lot to him. They wrote amazing songs to comfort ARMY and shared their true feelings. As far as I know, these are things that no other artists ever share. It really creates a bond that outsiders (media and the industry) don't understand or see!
Watching videos like this hating them breaks my heart and bring me in tears, these people are pure and they are all angels to Army. They are the sunshine to army’s rainy days 💜💜💜💜
Thank you for the reaction. After knowing about their struggles now I have whole new level of respect for them. They are so down to earth irrespective of their huge success. Come on BTS, I am with you! Kill them with your success n bury them with your lovely smiles!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
There's a lot more of their hardships actually.. this one is on the outside.. in the inside, you can see their hardwork in going from nothing into making one of most profitable company in Korea.. personally, u can watch the rise of bangtan, my favorite unofficial documentary.. it's very detailed and touch all the factors of bts success very well
XCELESTE ALWAYS DOES US JUSTICE!! I'm happy you found her explanation videos, they really do help explain everything in one video. As an Army since 2018, I have to say, I've lived through some of these fights and I swear, I have such strong protection for these talented artist. BTS really is the epitome os "we started from the bottom and now WE'RE HERE" ALWAYS!!
This only shows how AWESOME & EPIC my boys, BTS, are. They came from humble beginnings and have never lost their humbleness, no matter how BIG they are. Every one of those peons who tried to ridicule, humiliate or put my boys down must be dying now. My boys took the high road as always and never lowered their standards. They aren’t vengeful but forgiving. They may not forget but they also won’t retaliate because they’re above all of that. I’m so proud of them. Stand proud, my boys. You are LOVED!!! You are GOD’s gift to the world!!! ARMY, stand tall with my boys, for its because of you, that they are where they are! 💜 BORAHAE 💜
an important thing i think you may be mixing up is that becoming an "idol" isn't the same as how artists become mainstream in western pop culture. quote: "Most idols are not considered artists because the term 'artist,' in its musical definition, not only describes a person who works in the performing arts - but, more importantly, our interpretation of someone who creates and administers control over their music and image." since many idol companies usually write/produce songs for idols to perform and control their image, most ppl don't consider idols to be the same as "real artists." it's because of these new idol groups who are able to display more self-expression and exert more control that idols are seen more as artists now.
i've been on 'stan twitter' for almost 8 years now & have been a stan of multiple artists spanning different genres but i've NEVER seen such a passionate & purest bond between an artist & their fans, it goes beyond everything really. black swan got me into bts, i came across a lyric video of the orchestral version & at the end i was SPELLBOUND, almost teared up bc that resonated with me on a deeper level & i never looked back since then, honestly i DIDN'T understand the 'hype' of bts before joining the fandom but now a year & a half later i would say i regret not listening to them sooner, they have the one of most diverse discographies out there you name a genre & they have it, all 7 of them have such distinct artistic expressions & unique colours also as a group they blend to perfection, bts truly deserve every goddamn thing they've achieved so far & more, the unimaginable amount of racism & xenophobia they have faced & still do from western industry makes me livid & breaks my heart at the same time, this video is JUST the tip of that massive iceberg, bts's success has been labelled as "inorganic" cause bts surpassed their mediocre english speaking white faves, you ask antis why do they hate bts they actually don't have anything to back up their claims. oh then there are those homophobic morons 'bTS gaY' 'bTs loOK liKE giRLs' who keep on talking sh¡t bout them & misgendering them, all these bc bts doesn't fit the societal mold of 'masculinity',, jokes on them taehyung has been wining the title of most handsome man in the world for 3 consecutive years ,,,, american award shows literally invented a 'kpop category' just to cage them & prevent them from entering main categories,,, quick shout out to vmas for NOT nominating bts in both artist of the year & video of the year categories in spite of bts being in top 3 selling artists in USA 🤢 snubbing them in broad daylight won't make your award shows any more relevant, bts will continue to thrive no matter what 🥰 artists like bts come once in a life time, as yoongi said "there will never be another bts",,, genuine shout out to the biggest, most loyal, dedicated & diverse in age, race, ethnicity, gender, walk of life fandom in the world, aka ARMYs, we're a force to reckon with!!! It has NEVER felt like a 'phase' with bts, i don't think i'll eventually get tired of them EVER, bts will always be my safe place 💜
I also understand and agree with how protective ARMY is because of their impact on the world! As an ARMY, I stand up for them when I hear prejudice against them. Especially since their music and message has saved me from commiting suicide. It let's me know that I'm not alone and that with BTS and fellow ARMYs I will always have someone to turn to in dark times 💜
Thank you for this video, I think you said it all when you said there's literally no reason to dislike them. They don't deserve any of the hate that they've been shown and you bring such a level head and rational mindset that I think will inspire more people to give them a proper chance. I Subscribed!
This is so frustrating and heartbreaking to watch. I am just so happy that the boys have the success now that they 100% deserve! I wish people would give them a chance without prejudice!
No but... i love it when people react to these kind of videos and give feedbacks that sound and feel sincere and does make sense. Because some people react to it, feel emotional, rage, etc., but their feedback sometimes sounds unconvincing and it kinds feels only like it's for the sake of the video having sense or sometimes to play safe. But this guy, I love how his words just make sense. Like he made the effort to actually look at this side of our boys and not only going with the hype or only viewing their successes. I first saw his videos a few months ago and i lowkey saw how his subscriber count went up, proud of you man. KEEP IT UP! Just stay sincere like our boys and surely, more people will get to know you. You deserve more subscribers man, HAVE A GREAT DAY AHEAD!💜✨
can i just say i love how you read out the captions. makes my brain go brrrrr. but honestly it makes for an excellent viewer experience thank you as someone with sensory issues im often stopping to read the caption before listening and the fact that you do that in your videos makes me really happy. i really love your work gives me new perspectives always. anyways thank you 😊
I always cry watching this documentary, (any video with BTS' accomplishments and/or hardships, tbh) because it inspires me so much, like nothing else ever could. just them being so hardworking and proving that hard work DOES pay off, it makes me want to keep going, to wake up everyday to see the results of my hard work. but it also breaks my heart to know that while they are successful, they still are hurting from all the hate or just plain bad energy people throw in their direction. I love them and they're so special to me, I hope one day they can just be respected for the artists they are and for the good they make in the world, so they can have some peace of mind.
Exactly! BTS earned and deserves the success and achievements they have now! And yes, BTS are 7 of the nicest people in the world! I’m glad that you understood and sympathized with BTS and us ARMYs. People wouldn’t understand why we’re like what we are when it comes to BTS! There’s no other artists that could rival how genuine, sincere and appreciative BTS are to their fans and how ARMYs are protective, loyal, supportive and proud we are of them! BTSxARMYs forever!
Stay strong BTS!!!! You opened a whole new horizon in entertainment that was not there before. Others envy you, they envy your talents, your persona, your honesty, your openness and the incredible amount of hard work you put in. Thank you for this video that reveals the unbelievable hardship the boys have gone through. Kudos to BTS!!! Instead of collapsing under the immense bullying, they have become closer, worked even harder and increased their determination to achieve even more success!! Keep on fighting boys! You have done nothing wrong. BOO to all the people and agencies who have made your journey so difficult!! They are just evil sour grapes and some are just plain racists, and represent all that is not right in this world.. I believe in Karma and what you do to BTS will eventually get back to you. The ARMY loves you BTS! Stay strong and keep doing music that gives your fans hope, dignity, love and happiness.
The song in question regarding misogyny is War of Hormone. There was a whole debate regarding it whether it's just mistranslation and cultural difference regarding what a certain lyric meant. You can check out that video as well.
I hope he will. It’s an excellent video and is strongly in my opinion NOT anti female. It is in fact expressing how the boys feel. Hence the title, “War With Hormone.” NOT addressing how high school boys, late teens, early twenties feel is precisely how girls get attacked. Great song, great video. RM is always willing to tell it, and show it, like it is.
yeah, i'll be the irst to call out bullshit from an artist I like, ESPECIALLY if it's regarding misogyny, but War of Hormone wasn't even close to sexist lmao, that whole debacle was people grasping at straws trying to find a reason to hate bts. people need hobbies tbh
im still crying with this documentary every time i watch it, RM said he suffered public trauma because of those treats and got afraid to go on stage for long, he said his members helped him a lot to cope, and thank god he did recovered
Yuna Kim is a SK Olympic Figure Skater that is considered to be the GOAT out of Ladies Singles. She had record breaking programs. She is considered the pride of Korea. BTS are her of the Kpop world but the media attention they received were opposites.
I am so glad you took the time to watch this. I think that you finally understand where they came from and just how hard it was for them. I am proud to say I have been with these amazing boys since their journey began and yes, I am fiercely protective of them. I have watched them suffer, be belittled and hated for years. Finally, they reach the top but they still receive so much hate. The amazing thing is that throughout this whole journey, these 7 young men who just wanted to share their music with the world, have stayed humble, kind and respectful, never giving up on their dream. They are something special - the kind of people we should all aspire to be like.
It‘s very true that their music resonates with ARMY btw. They helped me a lot when I was going through some super hard times, like, the planning suicide and hurting yourself kinda bad. I cried so often to their songs and they truly saved me and made me happy again. I don‘t think I would still be alive today if they didn‘t come in my live.
Thank you for reacting to this Alex. I felt like this was a truly genuine reaction and it came from a kind heart. Thank you for being so compassionate. Never let people take that away from you.
It's just me or it's the screen like bigger? Idk what it is but I'm watching in my phone and the ratio took all my screen and I've never seen that unless I zoom to full screen? Lol not the point but I'm so glad you watched this Alex!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜 learning and paying attention
I just want to say that even though It's not really on point, but seeing you exited for cameras and small details in videos makes me really happy, because it shows that you are authentically reacting to these and showing your real thoughts.
I enjoyed all your “what” “why” “really” etc. thank you for reacting to this precious video. These 7 guys I love them to the core! Like totally! Today I’m just after a mass voting battle where BTS couldn’t make it to no. 1 just cuz all the other fandoms got together to vote that one solo artist instead of voting to their own favs JUST to not let BTS win!!!! So the struggle just goes on! Jealousy and grudge is evil! But I’m glad that I’m in the right fandom (Bora Fam). 💜💜💜
The effing Grammy's blue-balled the audience for hours until the very end. It's like "tell me you're blatantly using BTS for views without telling me you're blatantly using BTS for views." 🙄
I admire them so much. They don't deserve any hate! They are such down to earth and such genuine individuals. They deserve more respect because honestly I don't see any other artist that has work ethics and spreads messages about loving yourself like they do.
god every time i watch this video it always gets me so emotional. both sad and angry. i’m sitting here with tears in my eyes because even after this video was posted, bts have continued to receive so much hatred and backlash and it is a very tiring battle for both armys and the boys for sure. the more success they gain, the more hate they’ll receive. it’s the sad truth
yaa it is continuing and just yesterday VMA's did not nominate them for AOTY and VOTY and added a kpop category and did not even nominate life goes on even though its #1 on billboard

The songs are War of Hormone and Boy in LLuv...to say they are misogynistic is ridiculous
When they weren't given a dressing room at that award show...They had the best selling album at that time
I want your reaction🙏
I hope you listen to the meaning of the lyrics.

Oooo karma is good
@@LoveTheBasics Still waiting to see what will come of the book he supposedly plans to write about this experience with "hysteric fans and cancel culture"
@@LoveTheBasics As we say: Karma is an army
Even my mother realized that, and she neither is a fan of BTS nor does she get involved in a lot of online stuff
seeing you get excited about cameras is so adorable lmao
Haha😅
I think the same ☺️
I know! I saw a camera and a camera arm in the Bangtan Bombs they released today where they are rollerskating and I thought of Alex right away.
Alex (pointing at the camera ) : *look how beautiful this is*
Me : *yes RM is gorgeous*
@@user-qd5gr8ql2w PLS WHY IS THAT ME
The incident with Jungkook’s burgers still haunts me.
I really hate them
I'll be honest with u.
Ngl I'd be traumatized. It was horrible. Thinking about it makes me wanna ugly cry
It's disgusting. Like be greatful at least. He was a young guy, trying to get off on a good foot with his cast members. Nervous as hecc, and i don't see them bringing anything to greet each other! He's a freaking polite young kid trying to be nice!
Same here, I saw it once and it broke my heart. Jungkook’s sad face was so heartbreaking.
Also I would like to talk about their map of the soul which is from Carl Jung's psychoanalysis how they did
Intro:persona
Interlude: shadow
Outro:Ego
That shows how intelligent they are to a pop band to talk about psychology in their album and make it enjoyable for the fans and push the fans to understand about mental health that's why I say they are not just a boyband I hate people and media comparing them and say they are korean One direction which is completely wrong (no hate towards 1D I love their music but BTS is on whole another stratosphere compared to them also 1D's management exploited them where as Bighit pushed them to be real artists ) pardon my english 💜

But when he went “wait..one,two,three,four,five,six…oh RM is not there” i laughed so much ‘cause, that’s when you realize you’re an ARMY 😂
There was a screenshot right before that said RM was the one missing.
@@AngelaSealana I actually didn't see that either! 🙃
when i first saw this fancam i was also tryna figure out who wasn't there. 😂
So true🤣
Okay, I'll explain the military thing just in case.
So, the law has been revised in a way that Kpop idols can postponed the service enlistment till the age 30, only if they have received the order of order of cultural merit.
The Order of Cultural Merit is one of South Korea's orders of merit. It is awarded by the President of South Korea for "outstanding meritorious services in the fields of culture and art in the interest of promoting the national culture and national development.
BTS received the 5th class Hwagwan Order of cultural merit [flower crown] in 2018. And, the people who've received that order so far is
Kim Ji-young in 1998
Bae Yong-joon in 2008
Kim Namjoon in 2018
Kim seok-jin in 2018
Min yoongi in 2018
Jung Hoseok in 2018
Park Jimin in 2018
Kim taehyung in 2018
Jeon Jungkook in 2018
BTS are the youngest recipients of the merit.
I tried to explain as well as I can lol
Thank you!
@@LoveTheBasics You are always welcome!💜💜
BTS bring in about 5 billion a year for Korean economy …. They see a BIG deal
the law doesn't really benefit bts either because apparently they still have to apply for this rule to come into effect for them and we all know that the moment bts applies they will receive hell. ( they are already getting so much shit even though they are literally one of the only groups whose company didn't push for exemption.)
this law really sets them up for more hate than anything else.
We don’t want to glorify some of the behaviors tho…I’m glad they don’t do that anymore
@@crankdattaytay yeah, you're right. I'm glad they're past things like starving themselves.

@@Purpurina99 Exactly 🤷♀️
I've watched the Eurovision for the past 30+ years, and found many a song that I love that's not in English, or any other language that I know. Actually lyrically Eurovision has declined since they started allowing artists not to sing in their native tongue, which resulted in most countries now submitting songs in English.
I mean, heck, just look at Wembley! Non-Korean speaking ARMY learned how to sing Young Forever as a surprise for them. Not to mention countries around the world learn the words to popular English music.
I feel like they missed a few things. There are two things that I think should have been in there
1. Their almost-disbandment in 2018. It should have been in the video because the reason they almost disbanded was because of the hardships, even if it was just briefly mentioned
2. Suga's shoulder injury. He got hit by a motorcycle and had to leave for 3 months to receive and recover from surgery. 3 months without a member that so many people love had to have been really challenging.
Yeah lol
Damn

The way Alex kept shouting "WHY?" so indignant killed me hahaha, yes Alex, same here. Thank you for the reaction video!
Wait it sponsored? Hell yeah, get that bag!
Btw, it makes me happy that you take the time to rewind and make sure you understand what's going on, instead of pretending to understand.

Locals say "ARMYs are so toxic" "They are way too protective"
This video is the only reason why we ARMYs don't let BTS down in any way
i kinda wish the video included more about 2017 because that is when bts got their first billboard award for top social artist (even tho multiple fandoms and antis teamed up against them and voted for justin bieber so that bts doesn't win) but everyone was degrading their achievement saying how its just a paper award and its not an actual award.. also it was when the boys were kinda starting their journey in the west and i can remember they had to face so much racism back then like in radio shows or talk shows little racist comments were everywhere
You said it all 🥺 I feel the exact same way 🤷♀️
It’s the same for me too.
For a second i thought i comment this (our names are same lol)

Is it bad that I already knew how would you react? The "whaaaat?!" And "whyyyy?!" Is already expected. I'm really your fan now ☺️
Haha how’d you know??
So true.. its toxic as all hell. I got the same impression as you did..
True I give up on kpop due to the toxicity but bts bring me back
The only thing that BTS and ARMYs want was respect.
"I totally understand why ARMY loves them (BTS) so much." I really like these words
Because of conservative Korean social system.
So, it means a hierarchical society with a leisure class(including big companies) at the top can produce. Large companies dominate small companies and prevent them from growing.
Some of haters get rewards under the table.
if you want some answers about their constant hate in the past, I HIGHLY recommend to watch "Why is BTS mistreated in Korea?"... it has A LOT to do with the BIG 3 (the biggest 3 music companies in South Korea)
yesss
Yeah and what other band chooses to fact check their lyrics in response? Like, poor rm, it must have weighed on him so heavily
Exactly! I almost burst a blood vessel trying to explain this point to brain dead ppl. I’m 45. And some snowflakes really walk around with water for brain. I cut those ppl out of my life.
It was dumb, but I'm glad BTS took it positively.
Why there aren't categories like best UK-pop, best Canadian artist, best American artist, best Australian artist, best UK artist, etc, etc?
exactly
@@taequilasilver7183 yes I also hate these categories! I also wonder what they would have done if the latest songs by bts were in Korean...
and butter didn't even get nominated for video of the year..like, hello?? the most viewed video on yt on the first 24h??
*I think* the reason bts got so much hate is because:
1) in the kpop community groups which don't belong to the big three(sm, yg, jyp) don't usually make much noise, they may get famous but they don't usually make it to the top. But when bts debuted many stans were threatened (?) cuz they came out with a concept which was very unique. Not to forget that they're coreo was a hard asf, they were amazing since debut and people already started thinking that they might become huge which lead to people and stans of other groups trying to bring them down.
There's a say in streets that one of the big 3 wanted to buy bts just so that they can make bts disband, thankfully bangpd, ceo of bighit didn't let that happen cuz he believed in bts.(this actually happened to a few bands before, when a band from a small company is growing and they seem to threaten a band from big 3 or any other big company, they get brought and eventually disband)
There were a lot of within the industry tactics and what not to bring down bts.
Companies indirectly encouraged fans to go against bts too.
2)as for international, the main reason is that they are not English speaking. And not to forget that kpop industry in general has this weird kind of bad reputation (I honestly dk why)
Even now media puts bts down when ever they can.Even in 2020, bts songs were not there on inkigayo charts. There's a saying within the fandom, "bts are treated like the legends they are everywhere, except their homeland"
I wonder how long people will take to realise that putting bts down in no way will effect the boys cuz they've got army✌️
you don't have to learn korean to sing along to their songs :) when you've listened to them enough, you can def pronounce phrases. would it be perfect, no. I've only been listening to BTS since MOTS7 came out, and to songs like On, Black Swan, and Moon that I listened to on repeat when I first found them, I can sing along for quite a bit of it :) again not perfect, but you can still interact with these songs!
I agree! Romanized korean is easy to sing along to
not perfectly but i can sing along to many of their songs too
I just sing whatever I hear and it's usually wrong 😅😂
I listen to Moon every day :)
@@endxofxeternity me too ...🥺💜
Their entire journey of being excluded and ignored by their own country is the reason why ARMYs don’t want to consider BTS as Kpop. BTS worked hard on their own, paved their own way, made their own success, and put their own names out there without receiving anything but hate and scoffs from the Kpop industry, and no way do we want the very industry that ostracized and looked down on them to now benefit from them. BTS isn’t Kpop, they’re BTS music.
exactly, they´re BTSn they´re Bangtan Sonyeondan, that´s their name, why should we box them with kpop when the industry ignored them since their debut and to this day they keep turning their backs on them
36:49 "I can't sing along to it unless I learn Korean"
Or do like me and butcher the Korean words then proudly yell out the English words when they come up 😂
French is my first language and I didn't understand English very well growing up but it didn't stop me from singing along to English songs.
You’re one of the only reactors that are genuinely interested and happy to take apart the anatomy of their lives. It’s so nice to someone actually take their time and understand !

but thank you for the video 😊you have become one of my top 3 favorite reactor 😊🤗💜keep going and don't rush yourself , stay heathy 😉🤗
Haha okey!
"WHY?"
Exactly.
Five years being an army and I still ask myself this question every now and then.
Same. I'm a female and I don't see the issue.
Ikr!! I'm a female and I'm was not offended by the song. And I don't know what people were expecting when the title of the song is WAR OF HORMONE....atleast BTS didn't hid behind that trying to act innocent thing. I've even seen worse lyrics than that but those people don't get criticized...
This.
so the other entertainment companies put BTS on a pedestal to say hey, look at all they do for koreas image around the world, all kpop idols should be exempt from service, or have it postponed. when bighit and bts were never part of these discussions. then the government says ok, those artists that have received the special order of merit get an extra 2 years before they have to serve.
"Nobody wanted them to succeed"...This is one of the many reasons that Armys fight so hard for BTS and will continue to do so til the end of time 💜😭💜

Great 😂😂😂😂 no wonder they are jealous. Our members are just talented
this made me cry. they deserve so much
I saw bts during a time when they were still not popular the amount of hurdles they have jumped is crazy so seeing them succeed is honestly an honor to me their literally the typical story of an underdog finally getting the chance to shine and I hope they get everything they have worked so hard to achieve💜💜💜
A BIG FAMILY .
just got home from work and this was the first thing i saw!
Enjoy!
I know so many of these, yet 6 minutes in and I am already crying.
Alex: ooh! Beautiful camera, one day.
Me: already in tears before it even starts
Alex as always huge respect to u for always being u & being genuine Armys love u thanks for ur support for our Bangtan Boys......
So grateful.
omg i'm 2017 army too
Some people have no idea how many of us BTS have saved. 💜
And oh, Jimin.
They really look out for us
This made me cry.
BTS have ARMYs and we have them 💜💜
All about jeolusy from other big companies.
Yea that makes sense
Thank you for your kind words💜 Everytime I hear someone saying "Now I understand" it feels so good!

an important thing i think you may be mixing up is that becoming an "idol" isn't the same as how artists become mainstream in western pop culture. quote: "Most idols are not considered artists because the term 'artist,' in its musical definition, not only describes a person who works in the performing arts - but, more importantly, our interpretation of someone who creates and administers control over their music and image." since many idol companies usually write/produce songs for idols to perform and control their image, most ppl don't consider idols to be the same as "real artists." it's because of these new idol groups who are able to display more self-expression and exert more control that idols are seen more as artists now.
i've been on 'stan twitter' for almost 8 years now & have been a stan of multiple artists spanning different genres but i've NEVER seen such a passionate & purest bond between an artist & their fans, it goes beyond everything really. black swan got me into bts, i came across a lyric video of the orchestral version & at the end i was SPELLBOUND, almost teared up bc that resonated with me on a deeper level & i never looked back since then, honestly i DIDN'T understand the 'hype' of bts before joining the fandom but now a year & a half later i would say i regret not listening to them sooner, they have the one of most diverse discographies out there you name a genre & they have it, all 7 of them have such distinct artistic expressions & unique colours also as a group they blend to perfection, bts truly deserve every goddamn thing they've achieved so far & more, the unimaginable amount of racism & xenophobia they have faced & still do from western industry makes me livid & breaks my heart at the same time, this video is JUST the tip of that massive iceberg, bts's success has been labelled as "inorganic" cause bts surpassed their mediocre english speaking white faves, you ask antis why do they hate bts they actually don't have anything to back up their claims. oh then there are those homophobic morons 'bTS gaY' 'bTs loOK liKE giRLs' who keep on talking sh¡t bout them & misgendering them, all these bc bts doesn't fit the societal mold of 'masculinity',, jokes on them taehyung has been wining the title of most handsome man in the world for 3 consecutive years ,,,, american award shows literally invented a 'kpop category' just to cage them & prevent them from entering main categories,,, quick shout out to vmas for NOT nominating bts in both artist of the year & video of the year categories in spite of bts being in top 3 selling artists in USA 🤢 snubbing them in broad daylight won't make your award shows any more relevant, bts will continue to thrive no matter what 🥰
artists like bts come once in a life time, as yoongi said "there will never be another bts",,, genuine shout out to the biggest, most loyal, dedicated & diverse in age, race, ethnicity, gender, walk of life fandom in the world, aka ARMYs, we're a force to reckon with!!! It has NEVER felt like a 'phase' with bts, i don't think i'll eventually get tired of them EVER, bts will always be my safe place 💜
VMAs doing a Scammy of their own.
"bts surpassed their mediocre english speaking white faves" PLEASE can i get this tattooed on my forehead omg
I really like how you get excited when you see different cameras. :)
When I hear comments like yours and completely understand and appreciate why ARMY over protective to BTS, makes me cry. Thank you!💜
Stay strong BTS!!!!
@@LeilaleilaZ Hey! I somehow haven’t seen posts from you in a bit. Good to see you. 👋🏼
I do hope he gets around to War of Hormone.
im still crying with this documentary every time i watch it, RM said he suffered public trauma because of those treats and got afraid to go on stage for long, he said his members helped him a lot to cope, and thank god he did recovered
You sharing ur own experiences is rlly appreciated ❤️
Thanks for trusting us
Have a good day
As a 2016 army… I’ve experienced a lot,I’ve cried so much from these boys
Ohh!! Can't wait!!
I'm not an ARMY but I love BTS 🤍 and now that I've seen this, I wan't to be one of them.
support BTS
#SpreadLoveNoHate
It is yea. That’s how I do all my videos
@@LoveTheBasics I can't believe I've never noticed until now 😂🤡
I love your videos and I hope you can be healthy and have good days 💜😊
I just want to say that even though It's not really on point, but seeing you exited for cameras and small details in videos makes me really happy, because it shows that you are authentically reacting to these and showing your real thoughts.
Thank you, thank you very much for opening up on BTS. It's greatly appreciated. 🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜God bless!
If you listen to the songs enough, you eventually find that you can sing along even if you don’t know what you are saying!
seeing their hardship again makes me cry 😭 Thanks to Bang PD for always been there and continuously believing in them.
