      How lucky are you!! My 12 year old bread maker just died so I’m about to buy the Breville, for a lot more than $5! 😂😂 Can you tell me if it’s particularly noisy, standard, or fairly quiet? I’m thinking it can’t be noisier than the one that just died, and at least I’ll be able to mute the beeps, but it’s such a shame you can’t listen to something like this running before you buy it! I do have a microwave in the same range which I love so maybe I just need to cross my fingers and jump in. I certainly don’t want to have to knead bread by hand again like I had to do today, and I was tossing up getting a stand mixer instead and using that to knead but then I’m stuck using the oven in summer which will not be pleasant. Right. Okay. Going to order it now 😂😂

    I have a bread machine that i bought at a thrift store for $15.00. That was 5 years ago. Still works great. most of the time I just mix the dough put that into pans and bake in the oven. But when i do let it bake in the bread maker, it turns out great. And this bread maker will do all the things that the big expensive ones do. I use it about 3 or 4 times a month.

      Reasonable care is required in following a bread recipe, though bread making is far more forgiving than baking a cake. You may be doing everything right. A recipe I use was supplied with my Home Strata. I make their "whole wheat" recipe, but I use only 1/3 whole wheat flour rather than 1/2. For that reason, I start with about 8% less water to avoid having the crown deflate.

      @c3piano 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Try making the larger bread size. The small amount of dough tends to stay in one side of the bread pan. You can reposition the dough ball after the final knock down, which will help produce an even loaf.

      Paddles dont have to be synchronous. Although the zojirushi is very forgiving,it still needs to operate with all ingredients,including bread flour. Also the parameters need to be observed. I.e.not making bread in a tent in Alaska in January
      Their tech support is good.

    I really enjoyed this bread maker review. Curiously none of the machines in this Video I’ve come across in the UK ?. Yes I can bake bread, my use of a machine is one of convenience.
    Sadly mine is not featured in this review but it’s old by comparison to some of these models, so, possibly understandable. For many years I’ve had very good results from my reliable but old Kenwood BM 250, because of this, I progressed to a BM450. This is truly an excellent bread maker and nearly 5 years later still works as intended from new. If I could make one suggestion, it’s with the ingredients. When ever possible, these are better placed in the bread pan separate to the machine, this can be easily done in my Kenwood as the bread pan is pretty stable on flat surfaces by itself.
    Sometimes spillages can often discolour and burn onto internal surfaces of your machine and in some cases cause a breakdown in time, also giving way to corrosion too. Yes, corrosion, though some state stainless on the outer shell, internal surfaces are not in most cases.

    • @theweatherisaokay4964
      @theweatherisaokay4964 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So true! I always put all ingredients in the pan outside from the machine and and only add ingredients to the machine only when my recipes need me to add at the middle of baking/ kneading. Not only it cause corrosions it burns with smokes too for a few seconds.

      Panasonic is better than these brands. I've owned all of these except the Hamilton Beach. The Zo does a terrible job with French bread because it doesn't bake at a high enough temperature and that's the type we eat the most. Like most of the brands, it only lasted for five years so I replaced it with the Breville, which does a much better job since the crusty setting bakes at a much higher temperature.

    Loaf...

  • @goedelite
    @goedelite ปีที่แล้ว

    I have been making bread in a machine for about 30 years or more. My first machine was a Black & Decker. B&D no longer mfgs it. It had a vertical loaf pan with a capacity for a 2.5lb loaf - 25 % larger than todays machines, even the $200 ones. Back then, when a dollar had value for buying more than bombs and bullets, I paid about $60. for it. Oddly, with the currency much debased, I saw - a few days' ago after much searching - another vertical, two pounder, for about $59. I would not buy a horizontal loaf pan machinge. For one, I like my slices to be uniform - not smaller at the ends; also square for sandwiches and for nutritional control - the same amount of peanut butter for each slice! A bread machine is basically a motor, a baking pan, and a computer. It's not very high tech. Two hundres dollars is ridiculous!

    The fact that they both misspelled and mispronounced Zojirushi in the video does not inspire confidence in their product knowledge. Strangely, they did this even with the product brand name clearly visible on the actual machine in the video. You would think somebody would notice the discrepancy during editing if not earlier.

      @@DaWahine79 Go to any thrift store and buy three different brand bread machines for $5.00 each. Make a few loaves with each one, then keep the one you like most. Donate the other two back to the thrift store and enjoy your $15 bread machine. Pro tip: if it doesn't have an owner's manual/recipe book, look for one to download before buying.

      Good advice. If you dont like breadmaking its a cheap way to find out. Ihave a zojirushi 1lb machine and make 3 loaves a week. Had it 5 1/2 years. Never had a failed loaf. Other machines wore out in 3 years and were successful about 60 % of the time

      I have big experience with bread 🍞 machines around 20 years and I used many Brands , for different prices, the most affordable in Walmart and more cheapest when they are on sales, but of course more cheaper way in donating stores, they are good too and you don’t need to have manual, all machines are working the same, the problem could be with plastic rotor inside, they can not stay long, it is important to check before to buy , it should be metallic, and the other problem - with the years rotor can stop turning, but if you have mixer, you can continue to baking bread for many years🥯
      About prices - I had the first one the most cheapest one around $60 and it was the best, I don’t remember the name, but after I had Panasonic and different brands, they haven’t bean such a perfect even for more expensive prices , but all of them OK, for me just important to buy bred machine with the vertical pot inside, because it is more compact and could save space on your kitchen
