Black(hot) wire is positive. White(neutral) wire is negative, right? And there are 2 different types of grounds, earth and using the neutral? Great clip!
I used to have a light post that lit up at night via timer. Next to it was an outdoor outlet that burnt out due to water damage. They were taken down by a relative. Both lines seem to be coming from the same circuit. However one line has White, Yellow, Brown and Green, which I assume powered the outdoor receptacle. The other line is White, Yellow and Green. I deduced the yellow line is actually Hot. I assume the line is interconnected from the same power. The light only turns on by the timer while the receptacle is always live. How do I wire a new receptacle using the brown wire? Please advise. Thank you
I tried to understand this video looking for an answer on the wires. Is the white wire the ground or hot? Is the back wire the hot or ground? The video doesn't explain this.
At 3:14 he says it: "Your black is your hot" th-cam.com/video/neppaesi3p0/w-d-xo.html And then for the white/ neutral: th-cam.com/video/neppaesi3p0/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for keeping it simple to understand.
Your a great spokesman and thanks for the info ✌🏻👍🏼🤝

Thanks for sharing.
Where can I find the orange connector of phillips down light? Currently my recessed light is hardwired so I want to add a e26 adapter.
What about the yellow wire? What does that mean?

USA?
I learned a bit of electricity and bring a light bulb to glow but I don’t know what the wires color does

For white wire you could have used blue color on your board. And yes, I was confused as I have visual memory

Two reds two blacks and two whites with one ground wire?
I`m not sure I understand the question.
I thought black and white is negative and red is positive
