    I have had a 1994 YJ for 10 years... Been meaning to remove the mat black paint and replace with Powerderd blue.. This vid certainly will help! 🤘

    Cool video Dale.
    Good prep work and nice primer job.
    You can put down multiple coats over the "wavey" areas and slightly low spots, then block sand 'em level.
    The paint will look awesome after that.

    Dale, that looks fantastic. I am impressed. Waiting for AZ to cool off to get more done on my CJ.

    Good job! You may consider lightly spray painting over the primer with black rattle can to show high/low spots and to make sure you sand everywhere. The hood will be the part you want to focus your time. Use a paint stick and long strokes when sanding.

      I do have some dry guide. But I’m not super worried about it. The body has some dents and crumples in it. I know it’s not going to be perfect, but hey.. it’s a Jeep 😁

      @@JeepSolid Agreed. Then you may decide not to go with Black for the final color. It reveals everything. But go with a period correct gray or white?

    Wanted to say keep up the great content. Your paint videos are perfect timing since I’m starting bodywork for paint with the kids for our JP90 project. Thanks again and love your channel!

      Sure does. This job won’t be prefect, but a great one to learn on.

    Looks great! You may want to consider using an epoxy sealer before your base coat! Primer will still allow moisture to soak to the metal!

    This is an upcoming project for me as well. What are you doing on the bottom of the tub and inside engine bay?

    • @JeepSolid
      @JeepSolid  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I already cleaned up the inside of the engine bay when i did my engine rebuild. I don't have any plan for the bottom of the tub. rust isn't super bad here where I live
