Hi todderbert, i recently subbed to your channel, awesome content :) I have a radio similar to this radio on the video, it's branded as a Buddee. I like the design of it, the speaker sounds really good and I like the led display. The direct entering of the frequencies takes some getting used to as there is no tuning buttons like on other radio sets and it picks up local stations reasonably well.
I have a 62 year old musician buddy who wont even turn on a computer. This may be the perfect device to send him MP3s of all that classic rock he won’t stop singing when he calls me up drunk. He’d probably dig the shortwave radio too.
i've been searching for something like this for sometime, and meets all my needs except... , none of them have a random function while playing mp3's? Any suggestions
Hej Todderbert thanks for the video interesting radio and yes I got my dreamsky DS 213 today, I have been using it for an hour now and what a good sound it has. I do think it is has a little better sound than a Sangean SR 35 i think it has a little better bass and think it has a type of surround sound. But as the people say in the states I am a happy camper take care and have a nice day.
You`ll have to unplug it when you use your radio. Luckily ours doesn`t affect my radios but I`m about 40 feet away from it.. The satellite box in my room was extremely noisy but I don`t watch TV so I unplugged it.
So, I like this style of radio because its small and plays mp3s but I cant use it for backpacking because its a rechargeable battery.Or will this last several days? Any recommendations please?
1) Really hoping some day you'll stumble on the Prunus L-258, which I've seen sold under a variety of names (and under no name at all - which is how I bought it). Just curious what you'd think of it. 2) Unless I've missed it, you never provide the Amazon link to buy the Iron Man cards; your subscribers could make that a bestseller!
1. Looks interesting, not sure about the buttons though. 2. Great Idea! I got them as a gift, didn't think about them being on Amazon, or even throwing up a link..now I am going to start.
@@todderbert the L-258 indeed has unusual buttons; big, flat rubbery things. But their bigness and the largeness of the numbers/letters is a gift to us in the bifocal brigade. Love your channel; keep up the good work!

u dont, u have to hold play button down and it will scan all the working stations and save them on its own, or u could enter the station manually, not a big fan. Its a decent little radio but i wouldnt buy it again cause the way it saves station
@@79whocares ok but when it scans it arrives at a station and I don't know how to position it on this station and starts scanning again to find another station and so on. I can never listen to a station when it scans grrrrrr. How to do it please?
Just doesn`t look like a good AM radio but you never know. Huge delay on my CCrane EP PRO. Been waiting over two weeks. It`s traveling all over the USA to get to me.
@@bnmdad I finally got my CCrane. It traveled all over the USA before it got here. Excellent radio! Can`t wait until I get moved to my new place so I can connect some proper antennas to it. It`s similar in reception indoors to my Sangean PR-D4W but beats it outside away from electrical interference and it sounds a lot better. It`s also great as an external speaker for my laptop and smaller shortwave radios. I`m using rechargeable EBL D-Cells in it and they work fine so I don`t have to worry about buying batteries. I don`t like using AC adapters.
BAN EVERYTHING! I also have a prd4w. I think AM is a bit of a tossup between the 2, but the EP Pro has the advantage of better audio. I mostly listen to FM, and on FM the Ep pro is superior in both reception of weaker signals and in audio quality. I may sell the prd4w.
@@bnmdad One reason I got the Sangean is the weather band. I live in a bad weather area with a tornado and straight line wind danger in Spring and Fall and hurricanes. Plus I like being able to tune to exact AM frequencies to DX at night. My distance record last Winter on AM was 1350 miles and I`m trying to beat that. The problem here though is Mexican AM stations interfering with my target stations. The great thing about both of these radios is no soft muting at night on fading AM signals. That`s such a blessing. My Sony ICF-19 and Panasonic 562DD2 are both very close in sensitivity to the CCrane and Sangean but the soft muting at night ruins it. But during the day they`re all great. They need to stop making DSP radios with soft mute. It`s horrible.
@@bnmdad I just tested the CCrane outside at 1:30PM and the upper part of the AM band past 1200 was filled with signals. I`ve never heard this many stations at this time of the day. Nearly every frequency had a station. Gonna have to try to identify some of them. I`m very surprised.

I can't get the SD card to work it always says : músic and then nothing and it says music again that's all I t does with the SD card
Sd card stopped working .I was using since year suddenly stopped. Sd card is working in phone. Any suggestions

My router makes so much RFI on AM? How can I fix it

think it lasts like 3 hours for blast and almost 8 hrs at 30% volume. U could always carry one of those portable power packs to recharge

Mp4 is a video file. so i doubt it.

Yes, and you can expect the experience to be great with them.
