This is fantastic since everything is made of plastic. ScaleTrains has the Pullman Standard 5820. Rapido has their Procor 5820 car. Atlas has the ACF 5250, 5701 and 5800 car. Bachmann has a UTLX or ACF model. Athearn has a ACF 5250 car. Walthers produced the NSC 6200 car. Now for someone to make the Trinity early 5851 car without the end cutouts and 6241 later model which are more common. The ARI 6224 car formally ACF and the Greenbrier cars are still waiting.
This would look great behind the SDL39s. But I'm still wondering when you guys will do a rerun of Ho Scale C39-8s. I missed out on the PNRR ones and I saw both of them in person. And on the subject of early Dash 8s, it'd also be nice to see the Conrail exclusive C32-8, externally similar to the C39.
I'd like to say that ScaleTrains has done an amazing job on their rolling stock and their locomotives. I'm wondering if the new steam engine will be the J Class, but nonetheless, ScaleTrains is a great company and I hope they keep going. Thank you, ScaleTrains!
@ 2:55... these cars are all privately owned because they don't get enough turns for the railroads to use them... privately owned railcars don't have demurrage charges tied to them (when on CUSTOMER tracks)... this leads to the cars being used as rolling warehouses... even when these cars get loaded, they still don't move much afterwards... they are stored in S.I.T. (storage in transit) yards until a customer calls for a car... so these cars could sit loaded for days or even weeks before getting billed out... they can also sit loaded for days or even weeks on the receivers tracks... with these cars sitting still for long periods, the railroads aren't interested in owning them.
Sold.

In late 2019/early 2020 they promised that they would rerun the C39-8 once more in either late 2021 or late 2022 before putting it to rest
@@CentralJerseyRailfan "before putting it to rest?" Hope that doesn't mean that the next run is the FINAL run.
We'll be announcing another run soon. -Drayton
@@Scaletrains :D I guess the wait paid off.

I'd probably get 2 so I can have a complete covered hopper train I can run!
