I love the flower aspect to this, it feels like bringing the earth pony part of being an alicorn, which I think gets forgotten a lot since the unicorn and pegasus parts are the most visible
Can't imagine having to manually increase the process of forcing new shoulder blades and new forearms with fused fingers to grow, not to mention the tendons and nerves all flaring up as you're partially crippled with your spinal cord being tampered with before the process is done. So flowers absolute fit.

I have an interpretation 👀👀👀 When I looked at it for the first time I had some thoughts about that Then I read what you wrote in the description that it would be uncomfortable for Twi to grow those wings But I'll share mine too So When I looked at it I thought she is actually using her magic to come back to the unicorn form so the wings are disappearing and becoming flowers that will fall down and fly away.. because getting those wings, becoming an alicorn and a new princess brings a lot of pressure and duties on her, she has not much time to be with her friends anymore and most importantly her lifespan is much longer and she hates it and as she sees her friends get old and have their own lives, her pain becomes only bigger so one day she just can't take it anymore and tries to "rip off" those wings of her back with all the strength and magic she has
Gorgeous work! :) (Backstory/Flashback to when Twilight became an alicorn) Story (As I see it.) Twilight knew that she was ready…but ready for what? Celestia knew the time was right for now her faithful student, Twilight Sparkle was indeed ready for her next journey, as the Princess of Friendship and new ruler of Equestria in the future!! However, Celestia forgot about the part of growing freshly, new and adaptable Alicorn wings can be rather extremely painful at first. Twilight, soon learnt that the hard way, as purple magic swirled around her, a new touch to her sides, spine, neck and horn started to ache and stretch slightly, she cried softly from the feeling of pain and growth as it slowly grew. She quickly noticed her looking slightly taller in height, her horn grew slightly taller and felt more powerful with new alicorn magic, and last, but not least….her wings..? Wait, wings?! As her spine started to stretch out, she felt slight pinches of new bones and created into new flesh wings just for her. She took a gentle peek and gasped at the sight, she didn’t expect them to be so..big and fluffy? She knew for a fact, that she will have to get flying lessons soon from Rainbow Dash and maybe even Fluttershy perhaps.. hopefully RD isn’t too jealous of her big wings, in comparison to RD’s short stumpy wings. Her eyes closed patiently as she felt herself lowering down, back into the grounds of PonyVille, as her lovely companions wait for her to land…and be answered a lot of questions about her future.. This is my first time writing an actual MLP story, so I thought it would’ve been fun :) But amazing work to Blitz!

I just posted my first legit speedpaint and it's all because you and all the other awesome speedpainters inspired me. I finally got a drawing tablet and it's hard adapting from a phone to a tablet lol. But I'll learn! Thank you so much for being so many people's inspo ^^ I wish you the best from the bottom of my heart ❤
Bloom Au: There's a "magic" called Bloom and what it does is grows flowers all over the pony while also changing there appearance goody or badly. Which comes from a forest named "Bloomsie FIelds" Which used to me a myth. And Operantly it had gotten to the main 6 and affected them. Which All of the princesses and all of the villains (that actually got defeated and LIVED) are trying to stop this since they have enough magic to not be effected by it (the villains are being protected with the princesses magic/ a necklace imbedded in them by the princesses "or at aleast the villians that needs it) But they have to hurry before it spreads across the other kingdoms. And the other main 6 (except twilight) are trying to escape 1 by 1. (the main reason they cant do this to every pony, its because they do not have enough magic them self the create enough of all of the ponies) (and if they did they would die permently in the process or get infected which would turn out terrible/ might distroy the planet.)
I have a question that's been on my mind for a while. I've wondered where the other side of the wings go when Blits draws them? like the part behind the back. none the less i love the result. Glowing art is so cool.
That moment when you give birth to some wings, and instead of blood there are flower petals everywhere. Jokes aside, i love your art. Thanks to you i find motivation to draw again ❤

i love this image and all of BAD's art but i can safely say that i do not know why/how the front wing is behind the tail... i get the back one of course, but why is the front wing on basically the same level as the back one? again, i adore blitz's art but i genuinely don't know what is going on there aha? otherwise, this image is absolutely gorgeous though

When I looked at it I thought she is actually using her magic to come back to the unicorn form so the wings are disappearing and becoming flowers that will fall down and fly away.. because getting those wings, becoming an alicorn and a new princess brings a lot of pressure and duties on her, she has not much time to be with her friends anymore and most importantly her lifespan is much longer and she hates it and as she sees her friends get old and have their own lives, her pain becomes only bigger so one day she just can't take it anymore and tries to "rip off" those wings of her back with all the strength and magic she has

Story (As I see it.)
Twilight knew that she was ready…but ready for what?
