@@AAlmaDoAlem The game did great giving horror/thrill ambiance, it is scary but unfortunately after experiencing a few jumpscares, it becomes less and less scary as the time goes by. It even becomes hilarious at the last few minutes.

Now that you mention it, what are other over powered members? It has to be something that they can't always control so they have to consciously mind it in their daily lives. Subaru has to sit further than the others when they are in an off collab for example, or Kanata accidentally breaking things just by holding them.

I feel like I live in a world made of cardboard, always taking constant care not to break something, to break someone. Never allowing myself to lose control even for a moment, or someone could die.
During the stream, she mentioned that having grown up in the rural mountains, she isn't afraid of dark mountain locations in the first place.
That also explains why she is so loud

That does explain a lot. With how many times I've seen clips of her screaming and panicking, I thought she wouldn't be able to play this game. The whole time it was just her own voice's natural volume that got in the way.
In my country, we jokingly say of people that talk loudly as their normal speaking voice that they "were born beneath a waterfall".
That explains, then: Subaru was born while her Mother was on a buddhist meditative peregrination to achieve emptiness. She was born into the "meditating and training resistance while sat under a waterfall" trope 😂

Well the issue is when you understand what makes you lose, everything loses any impact because otherwise your player character is literally invincible.
Edit: except for electricity. Apparently that's the only thing that can kill you based on another clip I've seen, but that's the only other thing that can actually kill you.
That's why the reviews of this game are mixed, jumpscare is only scary if they timing it right, if they do it too often then it just becomes an annoyance..
Not to mention those ghosts hardly do anything to you since you can only die by electricity and loud voice..
Yeah the first few run is pretty scary but it's getting stale and boring running aimlessly

One of the main problems is the certainty that you are doing everything correctly. As in, as long as you don't scream, or get electrocuted, you are doing everything correctly and that kills the suspense or anything scary about the game. That is why survival horror games are so good at being scary. It's not about jump scares, it's about the uncertainty that that you have the options such as run, hide, and fight. You will be consistently second guessing yourself if you should go hide, if fighting the unknown was the correct choice etc. If you run, you don't know if that is the correct choice so the possibility of that being a mistake is what gets you with the unknown chasing right behind you.
There is a review on The Evil Within 2 that explains it really well. The fact that those ghost cannot harm you or the player character means you have no reason to doubt your actions. You are doing everything correctly so there should be no problem and therefore no consequence. It gives you enough security to just ignore everything happening because those things do nothing.
This is the game where she finally learns the power of her voice

Not really. Some people have to have different horror experiences to actually get scared. For example the moment you give me a method to kill the creatures nothing in that game will scare me anymore, my mind is switched to viewing them as nothing more than grotesque enemies. Put me on say phasmo though and tell me to go in the house by myself, or to play white day and I turn into a little bitch.
I can see many people who can actually be scared of horror games not being scared by this one at all because it's too predictable. It's a cheap jumpscare fest that long as you don't shout you're 99% safe

i watch this live from when Subaru was trying to be really quiet, and surprised that she's not easily screaming like usual, i think she just really focused to tone down her voice and have no time to get scared, . 😂
It's just that it's not really that scary of a game. Cheap jumpscares, you're aware they're coming, vastly overdone, and the knowledge that lon as you "don't scream" there's no real threat (for the most part). Perfect recipe for even people who can get scared easily just not even blinking at a game like this

Honestly, I can see why she isn't super scared of any of the jumpscares. There's no threat posed by any of them. The danger is entirely dependent on your loudness. There's also no real buildup to any of it, so they just sorta happen then go away.
