    Some thoughts.
    So you recommend to have the reel being blocked under your arm in the moment a tuna hammers into your fly? I recommend to rethink this technique!
    Roly Poly is far off being the fastest retrieve. You may want to measure retrieving speeds (for example easily done on grass) to correctly compare. I strip double speed compared to Roly Poly, because RP strips are just too short for high speed!
    You don't want ever involve the rod in moving the fly, because the rod is too soft? That depends on rod stiffness and the details of the hook to be set. For example there is a proper reason why Tarpon anglers do add the rod swing to set the hook.
    I was missing some general key points in moving flies.
