Ebben az epizódban lehetőségünk volt beszélgetni Prof. Michael Ignatieff-fel, aki CEU korábbi rektora, világhírű történész és számos könyv szerzője. Először, Prof. Ignatieff és Hegyes Zalán meghatározták a nyugati civilizáció sikerét jelentő alapelveket . Ezt követően rátértek a jelenlegi erkölcsi és politikai dilemmákra, mint a techno-optimista mantrára, és egy erkölcsileg jobban alátámasztott javaslatot tettek az Mesterséges Intelligencia kezelésére. Továbbá, mivel Prof. Ignatieff jelentős időt töltött Magyarországon, kifejezte véleményét és aggodalmát a magyar politikával kapcsolatban, illetve a veszélyeket, amelyeket az Orbán-rendszer jelent a liberális demokráciák jövőjére. In this episode, we were fortunate enough to engage in a conversation with Prof. Michael Ignatieff, who was the former rector of Central European University, a world-renowned historian and author of a plethora of books. Prof. Ignatieff and Zalán Hegyes delved deeper into the principles contributing to the success of Western civilisation. That said, having defined the key components, he shed light on the current moral and political quandaries such as the techno-optimist mantra, and a morally better-underpinned proposal on how to handle Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, as Prof. Ignatieff spent a great amount of time in Hungary, he expressed his opinions and a tinge of concerns about Hungarian politics and the hazardous dangers that the Orbán-regime poses to the future of liberal democracies. Finally, he introduced a wonderful book that could be a guidline to the survival of Western culture.
