You just know she's a great and wholesome person when she's not only helping her parents to pay the mortgage, but also paying $700/mon to charity. While I'm not religious whatsoever, the fact that she's so charitable and selfless really speaks volumes about her character. It's that immigrant struggle and hustle. I don't know how you can say anything negative about anything they're doing. Legit hats off to her and her family.
As someone that was born and raised in Fairfax VA, this is a very accurate representation of being there financially speaking. This type of familial/community-orientated behavior is common in many non-western countries. Many African and South American households hold these beliefs.

So inspiring to see someone growing up with immigrant parents to be so resourceful/well-informed financially, and start a business around my age. My favorite and most relatable episode from CNBC!
Bring back family values to the U.S. Normalize living with parents. It makes so much financial sense, it buffers you from isolation and mental health problems of not being with people. Your parents get to be a caretaker of your children, and in turn you get to look after your parents. It's a beautiful system.
only if you have a close family with a healthy, supportive dynamic. there is no way I could ever live with my mother (who owns her home and vehicle outright and retired early at 55), although I'm an only child. It's way too toxic of a relationship. Even a once a month phone call is difficult. I'm amazed by families like the one featured here, that seem so genuinely close but not overbearing.
If one is able to live at home they definitely should. When you move out, you will have to finances to take care of yourself. Continued success to Kristina. Those cupcakes look so good.

I was already loving her then it got to the faith part and I was completely sold. Love it & rooting for you girl
She's doing great for a 24 year old, and there's nothing wrong with living at home a little longer, especially in this expensive DMV area.
100k salary at 24??
@@Essays4College Yeah what about it
She is such a kind and generous person!
As someone that was born and raised in Fairfax VA, this is a very accurate representation of being there financially speaking. It's also very funny since they moved from Arizona to Virginia and I did the opposite with my parents. Kristina is on a good path financially and has a very solid foundation to move forward.
I love how the Vietnamese community helps each other. Kristina's story is just another example of that.
What a great episode! Love how mature is she and does not only looks out for herself and her future, but also for her family. You can tell she is happy as she gives back to her family and community. She is also wise in how she stewards her finances. She is a great example for all young professionals to follow!
I commend her. I was like 100k and you live with your parents??!!
BUT paying off student loans, assisting parents with their mortgage and bills, and saving for her sister is so responsible and amazing.
What a great story.
I'd do the same if I had family here. This area has high income jobs and high-cost housing to go with it.
I lived with my parents a few years after school, I was able to save for the down payment on my house. Great move!
If I show this to my mom because she'll try to arrange our marriage.
I would mind an arranged marriage with her 🤣
@@kuruptflip21 i can't deal with the embarrassment lol
Lol and that would be a bad thing? You never know until you meet someone in person, but based on this profile she seems like a catch!
@@alastairhewitt380 if shes not a catch then idk who is...
I wouldn't mind
Absolutely my favorite Millennial Money episode! She looks at money as a tool to fund her sister's dreams, provide for her parents, and further the Kingdom of God through that Christian charity. But she's also hardworking, saves aggressively, and is investment-savvy. What an outstanding role model!
Beautiful, educated, kind hearted, hard working, AND the head of the household, it doesn’t get any more BOSS✨ than that, your parents must be so proud of both of you ladies 💕
This is legit the most wholesome episode ever 😭😍
*Watches before lunch*...looks like I'm ordering cupcakes now.

@@KristinaTruong You are such an amazing person. I'm the same age as you and nowhere close to where you are in life. I also love baking, but never have had the confidence to start a business. Great job! I wish you and your family health, happiness, and success.
She’s so smart, definitely going to build her wealth fast!
Exciting!!
Hi Kevin! I’ll watch your video next. :)
React to this!

Haha Kevin got time.
Best episode yet! I love her and can tell she’s genuine. Wishing her all the best.
Most relatable episode yet. Kudos to all the recent grads living at home and saving before jumping into rent or mortgage payments
My hometown Fairfax. Median income there is over 100K. One of the wealthiest counties in America.
nice
I used to live there
I live not too far away away from Fairfax. It’s a nice area and I hope to buy a house there one day

She might be the best on millennial money so far.
Finally, a video where a person is responsible with money, out of student debt quickly and living with family (parents and siblings) this is the typical Asian family (India and whole Asia). This is pretty common in India. Nice to see that culture in the West.
This type of familial/community-orientated behavior is common in many non-western countries. Many African and South American households hold these beliefs.
Not just Asian. Everywhere outside the US including some parts of western Europe.
She's so financially responsible at such a young age. Very inspiring! Young girls should aspire to be like her.
Wow. More than how obviously smart and responsible she is, this is a beautiful look into people who see their families success being of equal value to their own. So glad I found Kristina's new youtube channel through this!
She is probably one of the best people people who has came on this show not just in finance but she really cares about the people in her life. I wish I had someone like her in my life
I'm doing exactly what she is doing. Staying home with my family and working to provide for them. I make 130K and will eventually move out once I pay off my debt and I know my family is in a comfortable position. Glad to see other millennials like this.
That’s awesome! What a blessing, what do I need to do to make that amount..? It feels like it’s time for me to be a software engineer lol
That's amazing! Hats off to you! Wish you and your family the best!
@@RandomPerson1 Thank you! we are very grateful to be where we are!
That’s amazing! Good for you!
Facts minorities are different since we got to pick our families up as well
Cupcakes, a great family, AND a financially minded daughter... Those parents should be proud for raising a daughter who's living the American Dream!
By far one of my favorite episodes! I got choked up by this woman and her families acts of selflessness. Everyone is so bent out of shape trying to make their million that they don’t think about those around them. Keep it up! Your family values and your families family-centric culture is beautiful.
I wish such videos were available in my early to mid 20's. I started working in my mid 20's after graduating from grad school and was in a very low paying job and paying student loans every month. Fast forward I am now in my 30's and am way better off. Also have my own business, but I wish what I have now could have been started in my 20's. Thanks for sharing!
The perfect family doesn't exi---
She is phenomenal! A person to look up to for sure. Wishing her and her family more success.
Aw, thank you so much!
Family is really important and this story is the prime example of it. Very relatable and truly inspiring. Good luck Kristina, may the future bring you even better results!
Ladies and gentlemen, Kristina is what you call the "total" package! She's brilliant, frugal, generous, faithful, family oriented, modest, motivated, lovely and wise beyond her years! Wow! So many teachable moments through your testimony, Kristina. You are both blessed and a blessing to others & your story is a total inspiration to everyone who sees it! :) Great job sharing your District Cupcake business info as I'm sure many will be honored to support it.
What a sweet and smart cookie. You can only hope and pray your children will be this compassionate and giving. I really loved this episode 💕
Humans should learn from this woman!!!she’s giving back to her parents her sister! Cheers to immigrants!!!!
Graham Stephan is gonna enjoy this 💯
Im wondering what he will criticize?
Can't wait, he's gonna love her.
@@flawaii-pines6858 there’s nothing for him to criticize her on, except for the phone bill, she can get that down.

God Bless You Kristina! I love to hear people talk about their faith and finances! You are doing a great thing! Great Video CNBC MAKE IT! 👍🏾
This is my fav millenial money! I love her spirit and how much she helps her family! May the good Lord continue to bless you
So inspiring to see someone growing up with immigrant parents to be so resourceful/well-informed financially, and start a business around my age.
It benefits people It doesn’t benefit the economy. Americans take too much pride in individualism
If one is able to live at home they definitely should. When you move out, you will have to finances to take care of yourself. Continued success to Kristina. Those cupcakes look so good.
Hands down my favorite millennial money episode so far. She's so financially savvy and kind-hearted. Such an inspiration!

My favorite too now Along with the real estate appraiser guy and a chef in a Glamour video This ones now one of my favs

I really like this one! Truth is a lot of Millennials are children to immigrant parents so seeing this story is very touching. And thanks bringing up the 2008 financial crisis I forgot that happen over time idk since it was a big part in US history and shaped everyone's mentality on money
Ayee Fairfax on Millenial Money! Love that she's so family oriented and helping with her sister's college fund. The clip of De Clieu cafe brought back memories of studying there for finals haha. Def will check out District Cupcake ✨
Saving for (sisters’ edu, 401k,raining day money etc..) and spending frugally and donating for a cause, and a side hustle biz while locking down a full time job and help out with the family and young and pretty ..she’s perfect, well done👍👌
She’s so cute! And I especially love how much she values her family 💖
As an immigrant, I really love this and the family values depicted here. Wishing you more success!
The fact that’s she’s helping her sister she’s blessed and god is going to keep blessing her
There is so much love in this family. I am so proud of her.
Okay I love this girl 😍! She is so smart, ahead of the game and a woman of faith that gives ( tithes). Love love love it. Best one so far 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.
