I wish I could have met this man. He seems brilliant and humble. What a great teacher. You can tell he loved what he did. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank You!
I've certainly built a lot of tools to aid in brass forming and prepping and reloading. Cool stuff. I appreciate ingenuity. Strangely, I've never heard of this man. He seems to know what he's about.
Very interesting. Hope you're doing well
Thank you for posting this video. I love to watch people figure out solutions to their problems.
Great vid thanks for the info ! In process building a 20 practical. Plate idea is awesome
Awesome, thank you Dave.Blaine’s idea will live on forever.
That's the idea!
The man, myth and legend. Still have all his DVDs. Sure do miss that guy. Hope all is well Dave. - Laughlin
Hey Andy! Long time! Yup, all is well. Hope it is for you too!
@@DaveAffleck this is Austin. Dad had to say hi. Still have B.Es videos. Been watching them and reminiscing. Such a heart breaker.
@@RockinLOutfitters Cool!
Love this idea, designed over 60 cats myself and i have many different dies wish i would have thought of this. i will be making my own version, thanks
Awesome!
Blaine was a true innovator and such a honest and humble man, it’s a shame he was taken at such a early age, thank you so much for posting this Dave. Did you ever use one of Blaine’s plates yourself when loading your wildcats?
All the best from over the pond.
Yes Rob, I still do use it occasionally. Most recently I necked down all my 6-284 brass with it.
Thankyou for sharing this 👌 this man is legendary
No doubt!
Nice job sir.. 💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks 👍
so to build my own plate i could use my fractional, numbered and lettered drill sets and sharpen a couple of large bits for the proper shoulder angle and start drilling, i got lots of steel plate and lots of time. good video thanks
Yes you can!
Very cool video.
Interesting -- I have never seen this method.
Great idea !…….. Thanks

Very interesting process, I look forward to buying one of his plates and trying it out.
Awesome product
Tool design starts around 20:00
How the hole resizing tool works just with plate and drill machine? first time I saw this, I thought changing the caliber size was just a die press.
Someone tell me how it works that's awesome.
Are the plate’s being made still?
No, afraid they aren't.
You so good
With this process dose the neck wall thickness get thinner Or thicker?
Thicker for sure. Depending on how much of a neck down you are doing, determining how much thicker. I always neck turn anyway so a non issued for me.
Thanks. This looks like a really good idea. I’m necking down 30-06 to 6.5-06
@@Denwrecker That will barely thicken the necks. You'll need to measure for safety, but neck turning shouldn't be needed unless you have a tight neck chamber and then you'd be neck turning anyway.
@@DaveAffleck 👍
What is this shell holder called exactly?
It's a Lee Precision Lock Stud.
@@DaveAffleck Thanks man!
Can we paying this Plat
What did you use to make the 30degree chamfer?
That was done with a taper reamer.
I lost count of how many times he swept one of the girls.
How we can buy a plate from you
Sorry, but there just aren't any for sale. You'll have to make your own or have someone make it for you.
Great vid thanks for the info ! In process building a 20 practical. Plate idea is awesome
Glad it was helpful!
