@@JoyOfTraveler thanks friend! I burnt to a crisp on the beach but it was worth it. I leave saturday morning for the cold and rainy netherlands, but will make the most of it untill then. Greetings.
We love Sami, 4 holidays here and 7 holidays in Kefalonia.Beautiful Island. So traditionally Greek and unspoilt. Great video. So many Happy memories. ❤😊🇬🇷☀️
What a beautiful video of Sami. Went to Kafalonia last June stayed in Lassi never got to see Sami.We are going back at the end of August for 12 nights so will definitely go to Sami after seeing seeing your.. Thank you for it 😊 sharing it
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the video and that it inspired you to visit Sami on your upcoming trip. I hope you have a fantastic time exploring the area! Safe travels and happy adventuring! 😊
@@jules682Jules as an Aussie i like Lassi. Beautiful sandy beaches. You can hire deck chairs, get food, wifi and even buy a beer at the beach clubs. That spun us right out. There are quite a few restaurants and a few grocery type shops to get drinks and snacks. Even beach stuff like snorkels. Your maybe 10 mins if that to Argostoli to go in for dinner if you wanted to or do some retail therapy. Maybe 15 min drive from the airport. And centrally located for sightseeing. We stayed at White Rocks which is gorgeous. But has lots of stairs if your travelling with kids or have mobility issues. For us it ticked all the boxes. We have just booked to go back next year. But we are staying in Argostoli this time. Hotel prices seemed to have gone through the roof. Though it could be our dollar is dreadful against the euro. Plus we drove to the beach every day, so figure may as well stay somewhere cheaper and drive to the beach. And we can walk 5 mins to all the restaurants in town and have a couple of glasses of wine and not have to worry about driving.
@@carolinelane9599thanks so much! I’ll take a look at Lassi now. I’m still searching for the best island. I’ve done corfu just trying to decide on where to go now. 😊
Thank you so much for sharing. We never got to Sami when we were there 2 years ago. Looks gorgeous. Shame these little Aussie feet cant cope with the rock beaches. We must have looked hillarious going down the beach and then trying to work out how to get in the water. Do we walk in or flop in lol Just booked to go back next year for nearly 3 weeks and will definately hit Sami this time. Strange we travel halfway around the world for a beach holiday, when we have a gorgeous beach less than a km away, and havent swam there in over 10 years.
Thank you for your lovely comment! 😊 Sami is definitely worth a visit when you go back, and I can totally imagine the rock beach struggle - it’s all part of the adventure! 😄 Hope you have an amazing time on your next trip, and maybe this time Sami will be a new favorite.
Lovely place Greeks are nice people and dolphins taverna was lovely we eat in a few dolphins was my favourite and dimemrete w The owner was giving me and my lass free drinks when passing during the day
Thank you for the beautiful video of my beautiful hometown Sami . I grew up there but now i live in Canada . I miss it so much . Iam going to share your video i hope you don't mind 😊
Hi, yes it was easy to get the bus from Argostoli. You can get the bus from Argostoli main bus station maps.app.goo.gl/Vfp18PcLaNxai5dm7. The route is not very often you can check the current schedule on their website www.ktelkefalonias.gr/en/routes/local-routes. I don't about the tavernas but i am guessing there should be some playing background music. Thank you
Thanks a lot for your great video. I’m planning to stay 8 nights in Kefalonia next month. In your opinion, is more beautiful/interesting Argostoli or Sami to plan my stay? Are thé beaches near Sami as beautiful as in the north of the Island? Thanks a lot for your help!
Thank you for your comment! Both Argostoli and Sami have their unique charm and attractions. Argostoli is the capital and offers more amenities, restaurants, and nightlife. It's a great base for exploring the island, especially if you don't plan to rent a car. Near Argostolli in Lassi resort you can find also very nice sandy beaches. Sami, on the other hand, is quieter and closer to some stunning natural attractions like Melissani Cave and Antisamos Beach. The beaches near Sami are very beautiful, but with stones. The northern beaches like Myrtos are more picturesque. I hope this helps, and enjoy your trip!
@@JoyOfTraveler THANK YOU SO MUCH for your detailed feedback! You actually helped me tremendously and I happily booked an apartment in Argostoli. I can’t wait to be there😃. Wishing you all the best for your future adventures 💪🙏
I am sure that this is the place where my boyfriend and i were chilling out ( approximately 1997 ) all was quiet and laid back .....,until suddenly a big cruise ship pulled in ....LOL..!!!
Both Agia Efimia and Sami have their own unique charm! It's wonderful to hear that you enjoy Agia Efimia. Each place in Kefalonia offers something special for visitors to experience.
We love kefalonia and Sami is a great spot from which to explore the island - beautiful and peaceful with lovely eucalyptus trees
Completely agree! Sami has such a peaceful charm. It's the perfect base for exploring everything Kefalonia has to offer!
