are these cases pretty slippery? my main concern when choosing a case is if its slippery or not thats why i love the caudabe sheath. What do you think about the way the new pitaka feels?
Hi Blake! I don't find Pitaka's cases slippery...to me, Aramid Fiber provides a pleasant amount of grip. Their grippiest ones are the Tactile Woven ones, because they have more texture, but I still think the regular ones are pretty grippy. Keep in mind, however, that they are not going to give you super grip, or anything. They are not rubbery. They are not Speck Candyshell Grip level. But I think they provide a perfectly sufficient level of low to medium grip. Hope this helps!!
Nice review and content on the pitika cases I got the milky one last year and I loved it , the only thing I didn’t like was the camera ring ,when you lay it on its back it has a wobble and it can scratch certain surfaces. Lovely and light in the hand tho . Thanks again and have a fantastic weekend 😊
Hi Mary! Lovely to hear from you, and thanks so much for sharing your experience with the Pitaka Tactile Woven case. That’s a good point about the MagEZ Grip…when you have the phone lying on its back, it won’t be perfectly stable. Of course, with the magnetic attachment, you can take it off easily… Have a wonderful weekend!!
@@TheTechReviewer I really don’t know I find Apple are very unfair that they are not given the regular 15 Apple intelligence, but it will be some time before it rolls out especially in the EU countries. 😊
That’s true. And in Shanghai, where I am, the iPhone 16 series won’t get any Apple Intelligence for a long while. For the regular iPhone 15, I think it just doesn’t have a good enough chip to run Apple Intelligence. Still irritating, though!!
It shouldn't be problematic. Water or alcohol wipes should work ok. Here's what Pitaka has to say: help.ipitaka.com/en/support/solutions/articles/25000009405-how-do-you-clean-the-magezcase-magezcase-pro-aircase-without-damaging-it-
They are intended to improve the fit if you have any fit issues. But without the real phone, there's no way to really tell if they will be needed or not...
@Therealdopeness3030 thank you!! I’m picking up my white 16 Pro first thing Friday morning and then I’ll rush home to do my unboxing review. Really excited!
@@TheTechReviewer I have their standard case. There’s plenty of other cases that look and feel better but I always go back to Magbak because of its 4 extra magnets on each side next to the MagSafe ones. It’s just so useful with the various mag sticks I’ve placed around my home and being able to easily plop up my phone on any metal surface at the gym. Would love to hear your thoughts on their new Elite if you are able to get your hands on em. Their MagSafe wallet is also the best one I’ve tried
I’m really not sure. It seems like the basic dimensions of the new phones are generally known by most, if not all, case manufacturers, but I have no idea where the information originates.
Thanks for this review, i purchased the military grade one, the best protection for my future iPhone 16 Pro Max, as i already owned one for my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Two years later, the case looks new and never used, no scratch, never moved, really the best quality. Pitaka is a great brand, a lot better than this rhinosh... we always see on some youtube videos.
Hi Nicolas! Thanks so much for sharing your experience with your PITAKA case!Long term use data is one area where my reviews are definitely lacking, because I almost never use a case long enough to know how it holds up over time. Hope you love your new PITAKA case...which color did you choose?
Awesome review. I bought the tactical woven moonrise because of your review. I was wondering, as far as thinness goes, is there a big difference between the ultra slim and the tactical woven case?
Thanks so much for your kind comments! I think you are going to love your new Tactile Woven Moonrise case...I think it is just a gorgeous case. And no...there is almost no difference in thickness and weight between the Ultra Slim and the Tactile Woven...they are both exceedingly thin and lightweight.😊
I hear you…some people are just really branding sensitive and would prefer a discreet logo. I’m thinking that PITAKA is just trying to spread awareness of their brand, but I can totally understand that you don’t want to provide their advertising for them!
Agree, that's why I will buy Benks ArmorAir case this time, even though it still has a logo on camera ring, but it's less noticeable. I don't want to walk around with Pitaka advertisement.
I've had Pitaka case for iPhone 13 Pro Max, but this time I will choose Benks. I can't stand "PITAKA" text on the back. My case had only slightly visible black logo (without text) on a black background. It was great, and protected my phone in many situations, but I'm looking for more low-profile case. Unfortunatelly they don't offer such cases anymore. Benks still has a logo on camera ring, but it's less flashy.
Thanks for sharing! I've heard a few other viewers with a similar viewpoint...I'm sure PITAKA is just trying to build their brand awareness, but it is unfortunate that they are turning off customers like yourself.
Great review as always🙌 as much as I want to buy these 3rd party cases unfortunately all of them has a cut out and maybe eventually will change their cases coz of the capture button. So for now silicon from apple is the right thing to buy.🙌🙌🙌
I hear you, Miles. Not a big fan of cutouts, and I don’t think l’ve heard of any third party cases yet that have the special button cover that Apple has. However, with the design of the new Camera Control button, a naked button with a cutout might be the most functional. We’ll see!!
I hear you…this type of case is not intended to be that protective. It does give you light bump and scratch protection for the majority of the phone, but obviously not in the areas of the cutouts.
Really wished they had kept the black camera ring
Good point...I didn't address that in my review. Not sure why the change there...maybe PITAKA just wanted to switch things up a bit?
I have the sunset pitaka case for my s24, it feels amazing in hand. Smooth, but it has grip at the same time.
That’s a great description…smooth yet slightly grippy. Almost velvety feeling somehow, in my opinion. Great feeling case!
@@TheTechReviewer it's almost like a leather and a silicone case had a baby. It's the best in hand feeling case I've ever had.
Love that description!!
i bought the black for the dessert gold iphone 16 pro max. noticed the combo match great
That’s going to look fantastic!! Enjoy!!
I don’t see the black ring one available now anymore. It’s on high demand and already done.
It's a crazy time of year for iPhone cases! Everyone is desperate to buy a good case to protect their beautiful iPhone on day 1!! 😊

Can one of the 16 pro cases new fit in 14 pro and 15 pro models
No, the iPhone 16 Pro is noticeably larger than the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro, so the cases are not interchangeable… So sorry!!
it looks difficult to clean the moonwise case, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I get the Pitaka ultra slim case included three stickers. Are these stickers improve the fit of the case or make it worse?
They are intended to improve the fit if you have any fit issues. But without the real phone, there's no way to really tell if they will be needed or not...

Did they not send the military grade versions of the sunset and the moonrise? I have been scouring TH-cam for videos of them, so far little luck.
No, not yet…
Will you be reviewing the new Magbak Elite cases?
Perhaps! I’ve always been intrigued by Magbak cases, but have never reviewed any. Do you have that case?

They hired someone from Otterbox maybe they put there logo everywhere they can
Sorry there name
