spy kids 2 was my favorite movie when I was a kid, to the point where I'd hog my grandma's TV until it came on the disney channel and i think it shaped who I am today on a chemical level
I was OBSESSED with spy kids for a while in my youth. I saw the third movie when it came to tv and went back to watch the first two. I LOVED it it’s so so goofy and just an enjoyable time to me. The third one isn’t as good as one or two but it’s so bonkers and weird that I don’t care
The third one started my love for the series! Just because I love video games so much, especially as a kid! But I think at the very least the original trilogy movies are all fun :)
Some barbie movies I'd recommend are: Rapunzel, The Diamond Castle, 12 Dancing Princesses, or really any of the late 2000s ballet-inspired films. If you're looking for something a tad more modern, either The Pearl Princess or the Pink Shoes will suit you well.
@@tylerthompson7461 Personally I'm not a fan of it, which is why I didn't mention it, but it is technically the highest rated out of all them. So it'd probably be a good watch just to see what critics think the cream of the Barbie crop was.

This movie is literally iconic!! I loved the miniature animals as a kid. Also that’s so funny that you don’t remember/have never seen the characters from the first movie sjdhdb
Yeah I actually didn't remember this movie at all lmao. I meant to watch sharkboy and lava girl and for some reason thought it was this movie. i might do the first and third movies at some point tho!
princess and the pauper, princess and the pauper, princess and the pauper! genuinely one of my fav barbie movies from childhood. 12 dancing princesses is also pretty great. any of the fairytopia/mermaidia/mariposa movies for bibble alone are worth the watch
It’s funny how as kids we didn’t realize how weird this movie was but rewatching it now it’s impossible to ignore just how bizarre and surreal it is. It’s honestly impressive how it’s so unique and over the top but still was a big franchise in the 90s/2000s. I can’t help but respect the director for having such a personalized style that could have easily flopped but did it just right and actually did amazing and made bank.
Rodriguez is seriously talented! Also if you wanted to know more about the process I think the video by Billiam goes into how hands on he is with his productions
Honestly the engineer felix betraying them was such a plot twist to me as a child as he was a character in the first movie, and a good guy who was a spy pretending to be their uncle (the parents knew) so that he was someone capable of babysitting and protecting the kids when the parents were out because of the risks of them being the children of spies (Machette was estranged from his brother at this point). And for most of their lives, Carmen and Juni thought the dude was their actual biological uncle who they were excited to see whenever he came to visit. He even heroically stayed behind to fight some ninja thumbs (long story) when they broke into the house so Carmen and Juni could escape. So him betraying them in the sequel was a shocker.
You have many questions about stuff that is a reference to the first movie, and I hate that I remember so many of the answers to your questions for a 20 year old kid's movie. Like "the engineer" uncle being Machete, from the R-rated Machete series, or Monk's head being horrifying because THE FAMILY DID THAT TO HIM AT THE END OF THE FIRST MOVIE. XD
Haha yeah. I should’ve watched the first one. But truthfully I made this video for a god friend of mine for years and I had just wanted to get this video out. I may or may not cover the first eventually. But I figured it would probably be funnier to review it out of context so I could be even more confused lol

As a kid I loved the Spy Kids trilogy. It holds a special place in my heart. Looking back I still like it. I never liked Spy kids 4 since I was like a high schooler at the time getting to know that movies can be bad. I don’t think I’ll ever watch the 5th unless if my nieces or nephew does.
i love the troublemaker park solely because they filmed it at six flags over texas which i grew up going to! most of the rides are just six flags attractions with added cgi effects
A bit late, but there’s a surfer/mermaid Barbie movie (blanking on the name rn) that would be a great one to watch. There was a great scene where Barbie’s hair turned pink while she was surfing and people were treating it like she had emerged from the water covered in blood or something lmao. Or the movie where she goes to Paris and Ken chases after her, being a complete lovable wreck of a man. Or the one where Ken literally gets kidnapped and forced into an arranged marriage with a fairy queen and Barbie has to go save him. Actually, just review every single Barbie movie
Why this CGI terror of a kids film had steve buscemi deliver one of the hardest philosophical questions ive ever heard, ill never know. But im glad it did.
I love your criticism of this movie! I pretty much agree with EVERYTHING except maybe one or two things. *I mean no offense to you in this counter-argument* I love your content and you’re pretty funny. At 19:04 you say that this exposition came out of nowhere.. in reality; however, the information about the isoand is actually revealed at the scene at 12:13, where Donnagan Giggles explains (I’m too lazy to find the actual quote, so here’s a summary of what I remember) “The mysterious, unmapped, and untrackable island is possibly a threat to mankind. Several spies that went there have been missing. The few that came back went mad and describe outlandish monsters that are amalgamations of creatures on earth.” The Ukatah Assignment is implied to be an assignment going on for years. The objective for the original spies was to find, map, and infiltrate the island in case if the island may pose a threat to society. As for the Spider Monkey and Juni Cortez vs Slizzard and Gary Giggles fight, I feel like this fight had quite a bit if context missing, so here’s what I got from it: So, Gary is evil because he believes that obedience to the head of the OSS makes you a perfect spy; He is especially obedient to Donnagan because they’re father and son (ass kisser). Juni’s “rogue mission” of finding and discharging The Transmooker Device interferes with Donnagan’s orders, thus making Gary’s objective - finding The Transmooker Device to give it to Donnagan - drectly foiling each other. Now, Gary must eliminate Juni because they are on opposite sides (and also because Gary is an arrogant dick who needed to look like an asshole villain). Juni’s second encounter with the Spider Monkey is actually a demonstration of human-animal bonding. Juni gives the Spider Monkey a protien bar out of kindness. In exchange, the Spider Monkey will protect Juni from harm. This is when ass kisser- I mean Gary finally tracks Juni down. Gary also fed the Slizzard, which makes this a goofy fantasy cavalry battle of sorts. Now, I’m gonna be honest, the fight was pretty mid with the bad CGI and the funny moves and dialogue.. but I mean.. this fight had me in the edge of my couch when I was a kid. The Soider Monkey getting crushed by that massive stone pillar made me cry as a kid. Now as an 18 year old who overanalyzes *EVERYTHING* for fun, I *still* cry over it cause… The Spider Monkey saved Juni’s life but couldn’t save himself ;-; A-anyway.. Carmen vs Gary was pretty funny, I guess. The “You’re so full of Shitake mushrooms” pun and the skeletons didn’t make sense to me when I was a kid, but now they have me DYING. And the Spider Monkey’s revival kind of makes sense. I mean.. some spiders can withstand fucking hydraulic presses of pressure. Some are even flat because they’ve evolved to avoid being squished. And monkeys have tenacity like a motherfucker, man.. Monkeys are tough as nails. Again, I lean no offense in this counterargument. I agree with everything in the video aside from the two things and you’re a great critic! Your videos are funny and entertaining and… yeah.
I like you being so kind about counterarguing. But I agree with you. Sometimes I pay more attention to being funny than I do being accurate. So I apricate you leaving this comment!

This was my favorite spy kids movie like I loved it so much when I was younger! Still love it honestly. This should’ve been left a trilogy like leave it alone.
I relate to the intro sooo much with Disney’s “Pagemaster”. I told my family and friends so much about this film but no one had seen it and I couldn’t figure out the name of the movie. Until one day, when I suddenly remembered that it starred Macaulay Culkin and I could do some googlin’. So… yeah. In short, the movie’s like a fever dream
That bit at the start about swearing you saw something but not remembering what it was called reminded me of this animated film about dragons or something. All I remember is that there was a massive skeleton dragon near the end that was defeated somehow and I don't remember anything else about it. I have a few other films that I can't remember much of too but I know they were real
I'd love to do videos on TV shows but for now I'm sticking to just movies since I don't have the time to watch and cover a show. But I will put it in the list just in case this turns into a full-time gig for me. Then I'd love to do it!
That intro speaks to me deeply there's a show where a kid cures a bird-based poisoning with a centipede that he keeps in a test tube in his backpack like a EpiPen and I do not know what the show is.
Or some reason the only memory I had of this movie before watching this video was the guy falling in shit, but watching this video brought up a lot of memories
Never knew Spy Kids came from the same production company as Tarintino’s Death Proof and Planet Terror. You can see Rodriquez’s touch in them for sure, think Spy Kids wacky but Rated R lol
Have you heard of a movie called Four Rooms ? Tim Roth plays a bellman in a Hollywood hotel on New Year’s Eve who’s working alone for the night. Each of the titular rooms is directed by a separate director, and have slightly interconnected stories. Robert Rodriguez directed the room called The Misbehaviors, about a little brother and older sister left alone in the room for the night by their parents, one of whom is played by Antonio Banderas. There IS a foot sniffing scene in this movie. Also the room ends up like… a horror movie by the end. Seriously, dude. GO WATCH FOUR ROOMS
When I saw it and connected it to Spy kids it really disturbed me, but in a fascinating sort of way. I think these kids predate the spy kids franchise, but imply to me those kids are characters that R.R clearly had stuck in his head
Ok, last bit, the end of four rooms is a star stuffed cast directed by Quinton Terantino, who plays, basically an allegory of himself.. it’s weird and Must be Observed to be understood
The algorithm promoted this video and I'm glad it did. I loved this film as a kid but seeing clips is so cringe now. Still better than a lot of kids movies they're pushing today because it was creative and funny (at times). I'd recommend watching Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse, which is the online series Mattel made back in 2012-2015. There are so many funny bits, especially with other Barbie franchise characters, especially Raquelle.
spy kids 2 was my favorite movie when I was a kid, to the point where I'd hog my grandma's TV until it came on the disney channel and i think it shaped who I am today on a chemical level

Holy crap. You said the word "Slizzards" and my brain instantly heard the "SLIZZARDS! AHHH" line. Help I haven't seen this movie since I was 4
That bit at the start about swearing you saw something but not remembering what it was called reminded me of this animated film about dragons or something. All I remember is that there was a massive skeleton dragon near the end that was defeated somehow and I don't remember anything else about it. I have a few other films that I can't remember much of too but I know they were real
8:37 his reaction had me cackling at 8 am with no sleep
Def do the third film.
*the 4th one is dead to me there is only 3 spy kids movies.* the 4th one's bad guy has a sick backstory tho.
Man, I would DIE for you to do a video on CrashBox!!! Dunno if you ever watched it but still it’s fantastic
I'd love to do videos on TV shows but for now I'm sticking to just movies since I don't have the time to watch and cover a show. But I will put it in the list just in case this turns into a full-time gig for me. Then I'd love to do it!
All the Spy kids movies feel like a fever dream. Made worse by the fact that I watched them in reverse order for some reason.
steve buscemi 👍
steve buscemi
This is making me want to rewatch the first 4 movies
That intro speaks to me deeply there's a show where a kid cures a bird-based poisoning with a centipede that he keeps in a test tube in his backpack like a EpiPen and I do not know what the show is.
barbie fairy secret is so funny but also has some good ass scenes in it pls check it out, either that or the christmas carol or nutcracker movies
Love that I found your channel!!
Truly great stuff!!! ❤
Or some reason the only memory I had of this movie before watching this video was the guy falling in shit, but watching this video brought up a lot of memories
This was always my favotite Spy Kids movie
The “god” line by Steve Buscemi is even funnier now after watching Miracle Workers
So apparently Dongogan Giggles is played by Mike "King of The Hill" Judge. This blew my mind.
Never knew Spy Kids came from the same production company as Tarintino’s Death Proof and Planet Terror. You can see Rodriquez’s touch in them for sure, think Spy Kids wacky but Rated R lol
I have this movie in 3D on DVD, I love it ngl
That spy kids 5 movie came out and I liked it considering I had to frequently remind myself I'm not the target audience anymore
Every spy kids movie is my favorite action movie (I’m not even sure if they are considered action movies)
The skeletons reappearing for a single reaction shot is so spy kids its hilarious
This and Atlantis the lost empire I recorded on VHS and watched the crap out of
What I found out is that this film is probably one of Mike judge’s most well-known live action roles.
The first spy kids movie is more insane imo
Oh my god. I remember this movie. I just remember how disturbing the cgi was it bothered me so much it felt like what my dreams look like
2:59 best live action anime
bro i just discovered ur channel and im so glad!! ur commentary is so good u make me laugh a lot
thank you :) I'm glad I could make you laugh!
He balances across and gets a check
These are high stakes, probably for a million dollars
The algorithm promoted this video and I'm glad it did. I loved this film as a kid but seeing clips is so cringe now. Still better than a lot of kids movies they're pushing today because it was creative and funny (at times). I'd recommend watching Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse, which is the online series Mattel made back in 2012-2015. There are so many funny bits, especially with other Barbie franchise characters, especially Raquelle.
the fact this came out on my bday, idk whether that's a blessing or a curse😭💀 3:36
This phenomenon happened with Mutant Busters... oh god that show was strange
i loved spy kids but hated this movie haha. the dinosaur stuff was a neat idea at least, and man was the head scientist fun
12 dancing princesses is my favorite barbie movie. Its the only one I remember but still
Spy kids 3 next please! It was my favourite when I was younger
I hope to get to it at some point, but I got a long list of projects to get through!
Super Easy, Barely an Inconvenience and Prometheus school of running away from things
