    Infiniti needs to update those interiors, it looks like its stuck in 2010. Of course Nissan has a tendency to not update their cars, look at the Frontier, its been using the same design for 20 years.

    "Less powerful" is debatable. BMW is renowned for understating the power of their vehicles, especially the higher performance/higher-powered vehicles. Throw one on a dyno and it will usually put out in wheel HP awhat BMW states is its crank HP if not more.

    The best numbers I've seen for M340i are 3.7 for 0 to 60 and 12.08 1/4 mile, which reveal that its actual power is more like 460~470 at the crank.

    • @PR1NCETD0T

      Yea its definitely kicking more power than on paper just like *erm the supra i mean bmw z4 😂.

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You also have to understand these numbers are on a manufacturers car, tested by Car and Driver. They are weather adjusted as well (and we don't know how far they are adjusted). If you go to the dealership and time a stock M340i, you will be closer to the mid 4s 0-60, and higher 12s quarter mile. They wouldn't just sell a 470hp car for under 60k, hence taking out the point of the M3/M4.

    • @Svall23
      @Svall23 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dima K bmw rates their cars horsepower at the crank instead of whp, the M340i does indeed have around 470 horsepower at the crank and the M3/4 have around 500 at crank and around 530 for the competition specs and they even underrate their 0-60 times, the M5 comp according to bmw has a 0-60 time of 3.1 but independent tuners and auto magazines confirmed its more like 2.8 seconds... I have a 2013 Audi S5 Cabriolet Prestige with a supercharged 3.0 liter 333HP. Specs say it does 0 to 60 in 4.8. Maybe turbo cars suffer from a little lag. I also own a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V with a 6.2 liter supercharged motor. It supposedly has 556 HP. 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds. Both cars are a blast to drive. The cars reviewed here are newer and beautiful. • @RizwanJaved26
      @RizwanJaved26 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fordguy1997 I have it. It is pretty quick, BUT I doubt there’s any 400+hp sedan from BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and Infiniti that would lose to the MKZ. MKZ has to be one of the slowest 400hp sedans out there. The reason it’s slow is that even with AWD, it can’t ever launch without spinning the tires or bouncing the tires. It’s beyond embarrassing how poorly Lincoln thought this out. They just tossed in a turbo V6 and called it a day when in fact it needed tuning of several physical parts to be able to put the power down. 6 speed automatic in 2020 is beyond embarrassing. I still love the car though, the bmw 3 series and Q50 are quicker, but the Lincoln is so far ahead in features. Things like power closing trunk, full glass panoramic roof, 1200 watt sound system, 360 degree parking sensors(Infiniti and bmw only have front and rear, mkz can sense 360 degrees), and it’s far more comfortable.

    I'm a fan of your channel and subscribed to it years ago. I really enjoy your performance tests (both drag races and acceleration measurements). However, since I live in Asia, it would be much nicer to me and also European viewers of your channel to see measured data in KM/H too. I know you are an American channel and your metric system is miles per hour but I think performance measuring devices can record and show times in both km/h and mph units. So, you can announce 0-100 km/h time of each car you test whenever you measure its 0-60 mph time. This is just a suggestion and you may simply ignore it but it can make your channel appeal to viewers on a global scale. Thanks again for your efforts.

    • @dtw1622
      @dtw1622 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You realize that 0-60mph and 0-100km/h are the same thing right? When they announce the 0-60mph time it would be the same time to go 0-100km/h.

    • @Messergebnis-liebhaber
      @Messergebnis-liebhaber 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dtw1622 No, they are not the same thing. 0-60 mph = 0-96 km/h. There is a 4 km/h difference. This is very important especially when we measure the performance of normal passenger cars with weak engines. For example a 100 hp car will hit 60 mph in 11.0 seconds but reaches 100 km/h in 12.2 seconds!! 1.2 s is a considerable gap.

    I looked at both of these cars and I much preferred the Infiniti interior, More sculpted and nicer looking. Bought the Infiniti because it was way better looking, much cheaper to buy and the long term cost of ownership is far far less scary. The BMer was ever so slightly quieter but you hear a lot of road and tire noise. the Infiniti is a smidge louder but its the exhaust note you hear not tire howl and that is so much better. I'm very happy with my Q50 Redsport. With a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S this thing handles great too. Without question the Q50 is the best value, so if you aint filthy rich its the way to go.
