Hi, wondering what guitar you were playing in the Siempre Contigo video. Looks like a PRS? What gauge strings do you use? Picks? Keep this up! We need a Tejano Guitar podcast next.
Thank you for checking out my channel! I appreciate the kind words.... I'm playing on a PRS custom 24. I use GHS 9 gauge and Dunlop .88 "Tortex" guitar pics.... the guitar is equipped with PRS humbucker pickups. I'll be posting a support video for all the songs on my channel with chord fingerings so you can see how to play the chords.... please share and subscribe!
Anthony 'Tony' Hernandez An interesting topic for discussion would be if there are common chord grips in Tejano guitar. I notice the use of a root inversion m7b5 in place of a V chord which spells out a rootless 9th chord. Would be interested in your perspective on other chord grips/substitutions.
@@Guit7Jazz In my experience with this style of music, it depends on what version of Tejano you are playing. For example in the song 'ay mujer' , that version of Tejano music is what is considered 'big band' or in Spanish ' Orquesta' music. There are horn arrangements that need to be considered when playing guitar, not to mention carefully listening to the bass line and keyboardist. In the place of the five chord, you could play a 13th chord in its place, but again it depends....
I should consider doing that, unfortunately I'm extremely busy with school, family and performing that my time is very limited. I'm grateful that you made it to my channel, if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask
Thank you again bro for solving the mystery that I'm sure alot of us guitarists have been wondering about! Do you have a Patreon page? If not, consider it.. I'm sure alot of us would subscribe 🤘
Thank you sir, I appreciate the kind words! The "gift " of playing the guitar and learning the chords are a gift from God, I'm just sharing my gift. Besides, it's always better to give!...... thx for watching
It's true I couldn't never get the beginning part the way I was doing because there so many horns and keyboard so guitar it hidden, but it just me the way I hear it it always good to have two brains than one
Haha..nice Tony, you make it look easy!

What is a F2?
Great question! ....it looks like a basic F chord.
Send me your email, I'll send you a pic of the chord
Instead of playing F A C F, you would play F A C G....starting from the 3rd fret, 4th string (4th string is the open D string)
Now that sound like the chords gilbert use thx for the chords hope gilbert don't mind using his secret chords lol
