    Just got mine in the mail and finished setting up a few minutes ago... THANKS for this tutorial sir! This saved me a ton of time and headache!! The instructions that came with the package were a bit cryptic (maybe because no one bothered proof reading it before printing!); but for the price and features that it boasts, what a great deal this is! Now to shop for a wireless cam to pair with it! :D

    Thank you for posting these videos. I would have gone through considerable frustration had it not been for your videos. I think I now understand the system and mine seems to be operating perfectly. It's a brand new installation so, time will tell if this is a good, inexpensive solution or a temporary one, requiring a change to another time-proven system.

    Thanks for the "how to." I'm using v1.5 of IOS/iPhone. There are a number of differences in the app, such as wording and the location of different features. I believe I am also having that same bug when it resets the settings after an alarm.

    • @PoolarityChannel
      @PoolarityChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I found that you can "delete" the Main Panel sensor, which disables the Motion sensor of the main panel. And the "delete" persist through the "arm/disarm" cycles, unlike the "enable/disable" settings of each sensor.

  • @screenplayhouse4932
    @screenplayhouse4932 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I appreciate all the help you've offered. I'd be able to answer this question myself if the unit would successfully link. I want you to go into your settings and deny WP6 app 'camera' and 'microphone' permissions. Then I want you to tell me if the system still works. Because I see no reason to tolerate those permissions in the first place.

    • @PoolarityChannel
      @PoolarityChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      SCREENPLAYHOUSE LLC I've actually restricted all permissions from the very beginning, only allowing Location in Android 6, it works. Make sure your WP6 password is the default of 1234

    • @PoolarityChannel
      @PoolarityChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      SCREENPLAYHOUSE LLC Also try to press and hold the WP6 on the first screen of the App, delete it when prompted and start over with adding the WP6 device to the App

      Also -- I'm using Nougat.

    26:38 - I found out you can just DELETE the PIR motion detector (the one after Sensor 8) on the APP and that setting does stay, so don't merely disable it, but DELETE it. That way the motion detector on the Egg Shaped Main Panel is totally disabled.

One question about the WP6 app: In the Sensors menu there is a column of icons on the very right, looking like squares with a dash across in the middle. Thanks, helpful video. Unfortunately I cannot configure the panel using my Android 6 phone. It simply will not make a WiFi connection to the panel. I verified that the WP6 app has all the permissions it could possibly need. I tried both 1234 & my WiFi network's WPA2 password and neither work. It makes no sense to me why the user would even need to specify the panel's password - the WP6 app could handle that beneath the covers without involving the user. The router's WiFi network password is the one that needs to be specified. If the password field (which btw is shown below the SSID) on the WP6 screen is not for entering the router's network password then where does this get entered?? Is another screen brought up upon connection to the panel? It's a screwy interface design. I have some prior experience with configuring a TPLink SmartPlug which used a similar WiFi configuration scheme. For that I noticed that the phone's WiFi connection is temporarily dropped, the plug is configured, and the phone's WiFi connection is re-established. I never see such WiFi transitions for the BiBene. I can tell that WP6 initiates WiFi scans, but it doesn't seem to find anything. Maybe my panel is defective? Does anyone know what the panel's WiFi SSID is and what channel it uses? I started the panel configuration and then watched on a tool called WiFi Analyzer to see what the panel would put up, but I did not see any new local networks appear. It may be time to send this back.

    • @nbi4220
      @nbi4220 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looks like my panel is defective. Using WiFi Analyzer I took snapshots of the WiFi scan before enabling the panel for configuration and after. The "after" scan should show a new WiFi network put up by the panel that the phone's WP6 can connect to. It does not. If I knew how to do a factory reset I'd try that, but I'm fairly certain the panel's WiFi is broken. That's consistent with nothing happening when WP6 does a WiFi scan - it looks for a network that isn't there. These panels are probably made with very cheap and buggy networking HW. This probably explains why many other people who follow the directions precisely can't get the phone and panel to pair.

    • @PoolarityChannel
      @PoolarityChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      nbi have you tried programming it closer to the router, as well as making sure your router doesn't have a limit on the number of connected clients

    • @nbi4220
      @nbi4220 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      My router is dual band and my android phone and this panel are the only two 2.4 Ghz WiFi devices. It's not a router issue because the configuration doesn't involve the router - first WP6 needs to connect to the panel in order to provide the WiFi password (actually it's a WPA2 passphrase to be precise and that may be the problem). And it doesn't even do that - the panel's 60 second countdown expires without the panel ever putting up a network. Since you have this part working can you tell me the panel's WiFi SSID & channel?
      Your comment does however raise a potential problem. It appears this Bibene product has no manual network configuration. That's a problem because my network uses static IPs not DHCP. I cannot selectively make parts of the subnet (such as WiFi vs. LAN) static while another part uses DHCP. Is it possible to give the panel a static IP assuming I can get past the initial configuration problem?

      That you can not do. Or have the remote close by, so you can turn it off then on. But in general, when I rather schedule it from 10pm to 6am and leave it off from 6am to 10pm.

      Can there be more than 1 user with different permissions?

    • @PoolarityChannel
      @PoolarityChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can have different Phones controlling the same system, but they would not have different permissions and would have the same configuration sync across all phones.

      Thanks for your reply. I have since found that you can do this, but you have differing results with notifications. My wife will get notifications when I enable monitoring, but I won't get them. It seems to depend on which user last signed in, they get the notifications, while either user can control/enable the system. I doubt this is the expected behavior, but is what is actually being experienced on mine.

      Poolarity - Life Hacks do you mean when running the "hub" off battery? Mine only lasts around 12 hours on batteries. I've tried different batteries but no luck.

    • @PoolarityChannel
      @PoolarityChannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      not the hub, the sensor batteries, the hub should run plugged in. the battery for the hub is just for backup

      make sure your wifi router name does not have non-alpha characters, as well as your password. sometimes thats it.

    The motion sensors are useless if they work the way this video describes them. Why in the hell do you need a volume changer on the freaking remote, but don't need a safe or home button? Safe/home meaning hey I'm here arm the doors and windows but don't turn on the motion sensors. That is one of the most basic functions of an alarm system. So you can be in the house and be alerted if someone breaks in before they slit your throat while you sleep.

    The egg you are pointing at isn’t the motion detector.

    • @PoolarityChannel
      @PoolarityChannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Egg Shaped Main Panel also is a motion detector, this set also comes with a standalone motion detector.

    • @StormChaserIA
      @StormChaserIA 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Poolarity - Life Hacks This is incorrect. The egg only has an illuminating light on the bottom. This does not act as a motion detector even though it looks like one. The stands alone in the set it the only motion detector.

      I demo the "egg" motion sensor here - th-cam.com/video/Vw2EKyY0eHs/w-d-xo.html Mine doubles as both the Main Panel and Motion Detector

    • @anquettevasquez5683
      @anquettevasquez5683 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Poolarity - Life Hacks nope setting up this system is the worst experience of my life when it comes to electronics starting with the headache of why doesn’t it blink oh yea I got sent dead batteries... moving on to which sensor is which had to delete them all and I still don’t know if the motion sensor is 1 if so the hub it’s not any number even though the instructions say it’s a sensor in that case I can’t add that one or the one that’s just a motion sensor

    • @anquettevasquez5683
      @anquettevasquez5683 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then is there a way to turn it off from my phone because it keeps beeping even if I turn off the sensor on the phone... the instructions on the guide are shit and I’m way too pissed off to listen to the slow ass instructions that tell me more than once what button I’m looking at as if I’m an idiot

    • @anquettevasquez5683
      @anquettevasquez5683 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lastly the brand new batteries have been on for a few minutes and it already reads 80% looks like it will be dead by morning which just makes everything way worse because I can’t afford to replace batteries every god damn day not that it comes with a power cord I’m sure that extra and it’s the reason why it eats batteries

      Wolf Girl which sensor is being triggered, do you have a sensor attached to the red emergency panel, is it the PIR sensor on the main panel. Can you lower the volume to check if you indeed can control it via Wi-Fi
