Do you know where to stick the sensing tape in order to activate the autoreverse. I had other autoreverse machine and the sensing tape was stuck in the exterior face of the tape. It doesn't make sense to.me to stick it in the inner part of the tape. Thanks in advance
Beautiful 7" deck, I own a light grey one as well as a darker grey one. Unfortunately, the sound quality is not up to par with the aesthetics of the machine, it simply does not hold up to the better 7" decks (Pioneer, TEAC,...). It's also near impossible to replace the drive belt due to the complexity of the design...
This GX-77 is better as corder than player since it does have bias adjust over Pioneer RT-707, like in cassette decks, Nakamichi Cassette Deck 2 or CR-1.
Good look but bad hardware insite. This recorder is design trap. Behind nice design is creepy and cheap DC motors, stupid belts as source of technical fails. Technically this is junk. Is better to own GX 635 or 636 (for example) wich is great machines.
thanks for that insight. I have no technical knowledge, so I can only judge the outside. The 635 and 636 are also looking a lot more sturdy from the outside, but also quit a bit more expensive ;-)
