30 years ago I tried the same thing with my neighbor, 3 doors down. The bad news, it didn't work. The good news, I only have 4 more life sentences to serve. Cell block D loves your videos.
This project and the resin cut away cars are super cool, you've obviously put a lot of thought into where you want to go with the channel recently. Love your work and looking forward to your future projects wherever they lead you.
I really enjoyed the video, the whole cutaway concept is pretty cool. As far as the finish product goes, Idk about anyone else, but personally I think the car turned out great! If you didn't know any better you'd think it came that way. On a side note I noticed the file you were using looked pretty rusty and clogged up. You can easily sharpen and clean files by soaking them in distilled Vinegar. Just toss them in a Vinegar bath for a few hours to a few days or more depending on how bad they are. Then pull them out and dunk them into a baking soda and water mixture to clean any residue left off and to neutralize the Vinegar. After that give them a good coating of WD-40 to prevent them from rusting again. Also you can use regular old Chalk to help prevent files from clogging up. Just rub the file with the chalk and you're good.
im the same. both of my parents worked in aerospace, so take your child to work day was always full of cut away demonstration things :) ive just always loved them and want to try to make them one day too!
You made an examination model!.... Outstanding!... Level up... new rank.... Professor.... and bringing sandblasting to the table!.... Austin?.. Knock knock.

Very good video I always appreciate your work a Jewelers coping saw would cut through that metal quickly and leave a good clean edge plus it and the blades are very inexpensive. Any jewelry supply place would have it
I was looking on how to do some cut away stuff, I’m new to the hobby and didn’t want to spend a lot on new tools. Thanks for showing that it can be done with what I have already.
This reminds me of the mainframes of the animatronics in FNAF, not super pretty but will turn heads for sure. Also, the cleanup after drilling into the casting must have been a massive pain.
I enjoyed the music. The car came out amazing and very different from what I expected. You have a great voice and do amazing work. Thanks for amazing video after video!
For striping the paint, Easy Off Oven cleaner works wonders. as long as it's not enamel, paint comes right off and doesn't hurt the plastic. I have yet to try it on metal.
Maybe you could try a jewelers' saw next time? You make a small hole, thread the blade in, then cut clean across. Faster and fewer shards of metal flying around.
That guy is amazing... I do a lot of lockpicking on the side and am always amazed at how he gets into all those locks in seconds... Especially the ones Bosnianbill sends him that he can't open.
@@baremetalHW the cut aways really help getting the first steps in. If you're like me, you've only seen the gamified lockpicking, aka fiddle around with a bobby pin until it clicks. once you see the pins, you can start getting a feel for it.
Our groceteria has a whole display rack of those 51 year castings. Despite being store #1, we're like two blocks from the ghetto so we get what other the stores can't sell...
Great video - I might suggest politely that you consider some gloves to avoid pesky shards of metal or filings from poking your fingers, and accidents. The sandblasting is very clever. This is a terrific entry - and feel free to do these different types of video. The vacuum resin blocks are still amazing.
It’s remarkable how much work and research goes into producing Hot Wheels cars and they can still get them from Malaysia to my town in the U.K. for a £2 price tag.
Seeing that car after it was blasted and polished with steel wool reminds me of what I think it'd look like after a real cars unibody was stamped out of steel. It'd be neat to make a car assembly plant dirama by cutting up multiple cars and making an assembly line.
i think I did not like it as it moved away from the black and gold look... sort of sticks out. I don't like it but i don't hate it... just not my cup of tea....
Brake fluid is an excellent choice to remove the gold paint. I have done it on lots of other things, mostly motorcycle plastic that some Metal Mulisha FMX rider wannabe rattle canned flat black.
First i was shocked to see such a beautiful car been nearly destroed, but the result is awesome. Maybe clearresin was a good choise to close the cutted openings an allows to see in the car.
I love your work, and because of you I now do what you do, but more mad max, and I have a bit of a lower budget than you. But I still do pretty well. Anyways, you are AMAZING!
Very interesting and very cool my friend, that is definitely a first for me. That's pretty damn cool though I like it. I believe the name is super clean it's in a purple bottle from Walmart it takes the Chrome off in about 20 minutes, most of the time less than that.
The most original die cast project of 2019. Facinating.
Personally I wouldn't mind if you do more videos on non-Hot Wheel cutaway subjects.
if my channel gets the dreaded "child friendly" label I might just do that.
Yea that would be cool
baremetalHW oh no
@@baremetalHW hey could you do this again but with your laser cutter?
Dam, that music was way better than all the dubstep people put over videos

I’m amazed you got those cuts looking so straight free handed.
I remember using Electric Light Orchestra to remove stickers in the past. Fanstastic stuff.
honestly, any music will do the trick, if you turn up the volume enough

This is awsome i could imagine someone doing this with a real car so cool
Actually in 1939 Pontiac made transparent car, here little article with photos: www.amusingplanet.com/2011/07/transparent-pontaic.html
My favourite book? "The Eagle Book of Cutaways"-fascinating me since I was 8 years old.
Holy crap a Cyrix CPU. That takes me back. Ahh, those weren't the days.
Lol... yes they were!!@
It’s like a skeletoninzed, Light-weight, custom race car. Excellent build.
That was an interesting approach to diecast customization. VW Beetle or the Custom '77 Dodge Van would fun projects as well.
Been watching for about 2 years, im about to start my first project on an old charger
It looks like it belongs in an 80s sci-fi film
Getting some serious Terminator vibes from this one.
Maybe you could consider doing character themed builds?
Reminiscent of the themed 5 packs.
I agree. Terminator is the first thing that came to mind!

Great choice of cars. Nicely done
Why the f*ck this man always delivers this quality content in every video?
Mesmerizing. Thanks for your time and work.
This would be cool for a mad max custom!
It be cool if the car had an actual (real life like) interior that we can see through the cutaway
Very cool! Great video! Reminds me of cut sways you see in some museums showing the interior details of engines
really cool vid.. Do a series of cuting things in half

Nice job. This is the first time I've seen a cut away like this. I really like it.
Holy cow this is one of my favourites you've done mate. Absolutely brilliant.
I think a skeleton car like you have is cool as hell, also that air eraser is awesome !

Strip Teaser II? Stripped down teaser?
not unless they make it cheaper
Hot wheels should do this along with customizing your own Hot Wheels stripped down to bare metal

When molding and/or restoring Hot Wheels, Jeff Lynne uses ELO too.

I admit I don't understand the aesthetics of this endeavor, but to each his own. See ya next video.

At 2:56 the car and your thumb come over all rubbery. This is a rolling shutter artefact! Also 3:23.
Nice vid can u make one for opening features? Like hoods, trunks, Doors should be nice
Nicely done. What i think is curious is that some hot wheels that don't open hoods have engines on the interiors like the new '69 charger daytona
Yes... they do this so they can remove the hood later and don't have to change the interior mold.
@@baremetalHW I thought that, i don't think they will but they really should
