  • This is a tour around the Maremegmeg beach club hotel in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines. Located nearby Vanilla Beach. I rate this as a 5 star hotel for the area of El Nido.

Hi - Thanks for the video. I'm heading to Eco Sanctuaries on Nacpan Beach in April 2024. I stayed there once before and it is beyond fantastic. After that I'm staying at Maremegmeg Beach Club for a few nights. It is pricey, yes, but looks very nice. I appreciate the video. I'm a solo traveler and often like to explore where I'm going ahead of time. I also like the coffee shops that are nearby and the gym, too. I'm looking forward to it. I hope you had a good stay. Thanks!

Hi, I have been watching several of your "hotel" videos even the ones in Vietnam, as I resided in HCM a few years for work. The $240 price for that hotel is on the high side. That is BGC 5 star price already. I am now based in the East Coast but I will not compare it to hotel prices here. I am Filipino, by the way. At $240, I expected them to at least put some natural varnish on wooden chairs at Beach Shack. Considering the hotel prices in Asia, that hotel should have been in the $150-$200 range. Anyway, its good you go around Asia. Try also Indonesia (I also resided there a few years). I consider them our older neighbor (as it is also an archipelago, like the Philippines) - better, infrastructure wise. It is a Muslim majority country but they are quite similar to Filipinos (Austronesian), and also Malaysia. Southeast Asia is a fast growing region and things are being built continuously. Just because of its vibrancy and the general environment, I miss those places. I do not know if you have travelled to more places around ASEAN but try also Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore (really expensive now), and Thailand of course. Kudos.

Doesn’t surprise me since it’s pretty much the best hotel in the area
