Loved the narration and the music, but after spending two weeks in the original Palawan nearly 25 years ago, I found some of the resorts utterly revolting, considering what a tranquil place this island once was. When I was there a very acceptable room would cost no more than $15 per night. A very pleasant place to stay with more basic rooms, but very acceptable with Aircon, private bathroom etc and very helpful staff, along with gregarious management was the now sadly gone 'Trattoria Inn' on Rizal Ave, where a very acceptable room was about $8 and a tiny resort called Summer Homes offered beautiful cottages with an internal bathroom right on the beach in Port Barton was P150 or $3.75 at the time (Jan 2000) Such a shame that this once off the beaten track destination has now become a hub for the alleged elites. When I was there I'd estimate that there were no more than 45-55 places of accommodation on the entire island and I've still got my Lonely Planet Guide to The Philippines to refute any debates.
At Astoria: We had a terrible experience there. Poor customer service, overcharged us for the room, room was not comfortable, super bright and disturbing room colors. Plus, instead of getting free shuttle from airport and back, we had to pay out of pocket, and it wasn’t cheap. Would not recommend. You can’t even go on the beach. And you’re far from everything. This should not be in the top 10, if anything, should excluded from this list. Overall though, Palawan is an absolutely beautiful place. You have to visit, paradise…
No worries about the trrrorrssstt who kidnapped tourists back in 2001??? I haven't heard of any other attacks on other resorts. #9 Oh yeah. Going to that one sometime soon. Can't wait. I like the sunset villas. To step out and within a few steps i'm on the beach and ocean. Bloody convenient.

I know luxury is not equal to expensive prices but some of the hotels featured here doesnt seems to be luxurious.

Question. Are the prices Normally per person? Or per night? I want to plan my stays with my partner.
😮

THE FUNNY LION
LIHIM
ETC.
Amanpulo is the most expensive resort in Philippines

same lol hahahah, what they say after you do their task?
It's a trapp hahaha
Me hahahah😂
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Too bad You didn't show the locations if those on map. Due to that I know still nothing
Google it.
Very strange list, other then maremegmeg, i wouldn't consider any of these in the top 10 of resorts in El Nido
DVD player and iPod docking station? 💀
My experience is bring your Bluetooth Bose portable speaker
Why you did not mintion amanpolo and banwa?
Palawan is pronounced the same as how you pronounce Palau.
With the exception of 1 or 2 properties, these are in no way considered luxury 😅
All comments are bots
It’s to expensive for local tourist people .
😂😂😂😂😂
Clearly not the most luxurious, more like package tourist grade.
Stop that awful music
Just watch the dogs as they everywhere outside of your hotel & they can be nasty
Scammers
What a horrible list
This guy is getting commission for doing propoganda for these hotels. Don't believe him and get fooled...
