When I went to tanzania a couple of years ago, the flight from kenya to kilimanjaro airport took us right next to Mt Kilimanjaro and the pilot decided to circle around the mountain. The view of the mountain was awe inspiring getting so close
I fly Kenya Airways Frequently and my my experience has always been top notch from Kenya Airways, personally I love Kenya Airways that’s what inspired me to become a pilot in the future.🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
This is my domestic airline.I have flown KQ from Nairobi to Jo'burg and back. What I love about the airline is their flawless landings. The pilots are amazing.
Flew Kenya Airways Business Class from Lagos to Nairobi then Nairobi to J/Burg, and returned from J/burg to Lagos via Nairobi, staff and service was excellent on all four legs, the staff on the ground in Nairobi were amazing especially after being used to the hassles of Lagos and Port Harcourt, I could not find fault anywhere and would certainly recommend the airline to anyone.
Cool thats the only airline that has non stop from JFK to Nairobi. I could manage business class cuz its such a long flight and the layover times were insane 22hrs 6 hrs paris 2 hrs Doho was best. Butbim in no mood to transfer. I have friends a couple hours from Wilson airport. They are picking me up when I land taking me to their house one of my friends is a Safari guide at Massai Mara where I am doing volunteer fundraising for fresh water, education and med clinic in Mara North for the Massai villages all over.
Flew with Kenya Airlines twice from mumbai to nairobi and from nairobi to Lusaka, I must say they are one of the best carriers on the African continent, really had a great time flying with them, awesome service as the flight attendants are friendly and always make feel as comfy as possible.
I went to South Africa and Kenya by Kenya Airways... The staff were nice and so was the service...I still remember the awesome taste of the Macadamia nuts serverd on board. One of the airhostesses make sure that i have plenty of them...looking forward to fly with them in the near future
It’s called Autolanding my special friend. You insert the runway, you input the STAR, vnav/lnav, AT set to instructed airspeed and of course 3 APs, then you sit back and watch the show.. most of the time you would notice KQ landing especially after that pre departure Hennessy..
@@islandcactus1508 god damn it,real pilot arent fsx arm chair pilot like you...in real life autoland is a non-visibility feature ,and require a special equiment which is not in every airports and also aspecific training... pilots know how to fly a plane buddy,so they dont cheat and use autoland on a clear day, take off and landing are manual unless you see nothing, then it cant be manual
@@Hk-uw8my wow easy there tiger! You got your tampon in? I’m a real life bush pilot so granted I may not be flying the heavies but I do know my shit.. thanks for assuming that I’m an Arm chair pilot though. Some of us managed to move out of our parents house and pay bills!
I lived in Lusaka with my family during 1994-2000. Lovely country and pleasant people. Many nice places to visit, the Victoria falls and spectacular game resorts. Hope you enjoy all that the country has to offer. Hoping to go back for a vacation there soon. Great vlog.
I realy enjoy this channel. Five star resorts with perfect filming and no speaker, just the information we need. The images says it all. Keep up the good work!
Flown Kenya Airways since childhood on this very same route! Good to see it feature here 🙌🏽(I’m Zambian🇿🇲). Kenya Airways has very good quality but their short-haul meals have been downsized and can be a bit disappointing otherwise it’s a very good African airline.
How!! What a lovely flight,I flew Kenya airways a lot and I just love the airline,it’s comfortable, lovely and caring crew, just love the airline!!! Hope you fly Kenya airways again soon and have a lovely flight again!
Interesting to see a high end tour private charter aircraft Albert Ballin parked at Nairobi Airport !!! Great take off vision AND sound from the airport !! The best in flight entertainment is always out the window!! Nice flight and I always look forward to your trips and by the look of things more to come !! Well done again !!!
I did this trip in reverse with KQ back in 1984 on my way to London from New Zealand! No winglets or noise cancelling headphones back then but it was a 737, and the Kilimanjaro view hasn't changed a bit! Plus ca change.....
As your name suggests, we all want a trip report about that airline at 4:30 😏. Sorry to nitpick but there are 4 lounges used by KQ at NBO - and not 2 as you mentioned! Great video though, nice to briefly glimpse LUN new terminal - hope it will open sooner than later.
i have been flying many times with Kenya Airways and the Experience has ben Awesome. Very Friendly Flight Attendants Great Service. I missed once a Connection flight from Nairobi to Mombasa and they booked me on a new flight without any charges. The Food is also great. i can recommend Kenya Airways to anyone whose flying to Kenya. Great Job Kenya Airways
Flew on KQ from JKIA to Hong Kong as a kid on the 767... I remember how amazingly nice the cabin crew were for letting me sleep across 4 empty seats in the middle
The B757-200 seen there is TF-FIW its owned by Loftleidir Icelandic which is the parent Company of Icelandair. Even though seen here shes flying for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, every Year they offer exclusive around the World "Flight Cruises" so they use planes that are specially outfitted to meet the High Standards of the Customers they have onboard, their Layout is in a Full First/Business Class Style 2/2 Configuration. Little Fun Fact: "Albert Ballin" the name thats on the Plane was the leading Director of HAPAG and made it into what it is nowadays.
I flew business class on KQ from Accra Monrovia round trip and it was beautiful. A bit scary on the return leg though as it was thundering at night. Overall experience, lovely.

Having been accustomed to using a Corporate Travel agent during all my years at work, Wouldn’t some of these multi-Destiination itineraries of yours have been easier to do via a professional travel agent or do you feel confident in using your own skills in booking such a complex itinerary, knowing your fares won’t be more expensive by doing it yourself!? Just curious.
Great review. I have flown Kenya Airways between Nairobi and Mombasa, the views of Kili are fabulous. The airline, nothing extraordinary, nothing to complain about.
✈️ Very good takeoff & landing with lovely 737 ! Also a beautiful view of the Kilimanjaro ☁️🌋☁️ (10:40) . Tractor on the runway 🚜...🛄 !?! (04:50) . The infrastructure of airport facilities was bad, specially for the transfer of passengers to aircraft ✈️
I disagree with you. Remember 737s are not as high tech and fancy as dreamliners or a350s. Also 737s are meant for short flights and Kenya being near these countries then the 737s will be used. Also depending on the load or demand you will find dreamliners flying to Johannesburg or lagos. Dreamliners are used on long routes since it's sensible economically. Just like Delta, United or American don't use dreamliners or a350 when flying within America. They use them when flying outside the N.A continent.
Distance, Demand and Cost! Short haul and regional use the Embraer because you are not cramped for hours on end and fuelling a Dreamliner is expensive. The Dreamliner does the New York, Geneva, Rome and Asian routes because it has fully flat beds and these flights are thrice weekly not multiple times a day, so they are usually fully booked and the airline can justify that cost. In East Africa, there is also a lot of regional competition, meaning their flights are not always full. The smaller aircraft are cheaper to fly for these short distances. For example, Nairobi to Lusaka is 2 hours. It makes no sense to send a Dreamliner for that! Nairobi to Harare is 3 hours and South African Airways, Rwandair and Ethiopian all also fly that route. The KQ flight to Harare is twice daily. They don’t need a larger aircraft for that. The once a day flight to Johannesburg uses the Dreamliner. It is 4 hours but the only competition is South African Airways which only has a morning flight from JKIA. It isn’t convenient for those who want to fly out of East Africa after meetings. The only other competition to Dubai out of JKIA is Emirates and they can be very expensive compared to KQ. Also, the departure time is not fantastic. Emirates departs at 22.50 daily and Kenya Airways departs earlier.
When I went to tanzania a couple of years ago, the flight from kenya to kilimanjaro airport took us right next to Mt Kilimanjaro and the pilot decided to circle around the mountain. The view of the mountain was awe inspiring getting so close
