would you agree with my wgu ranking in terms of marketability 1. compsci 2. network engineering 3. cybersecurity I'm debating doing network engineering or cybersecurity.
I'm personally on the side that Network Engineering is more marketable. These are my opinions and I'm still taking the degree but I chose it and my friend chose cyber so I have good info on both courses. 1. It says engineering which definitely gives it an advantage over the other degrees. 2. A lot of cyber people are not very good at networking or don't know much past the net+ level so it's an in demand skill. I even asked a CEO of a Cybersecurity company what skills they were looking for and it was Coding, Networking and Linux. 3. I feel like it has the most over lap the cloud is just networking without layer 1 and 2. Cyber is just vulnerabilities in networks and any system admin tasks are done better considering automation has a dedicated class in the Cisco and regular networking track.
i just hate how this has useless BS like biology which has NOTHING to do with network engineering... WGU is a huge step in the right direction, but we still need to move away from irrelevant classes like this. or at least give us a choice
unfortunately that's not WGU's fault at all, it's the accrediting bodies. These accreditations demand that students take general education credits to be "well rounded." I'm sure WGU would gladly take off silly things like biology if they could, but then these degrees suddenly wouldn't be accredited, they'd be completely made-up degrees that anyone could hand out. I'm on your side though, those classes are so annoying. lol
Every degree program in every college is going to have gen ed courses. I do however wish that WGU had electives so that you can select your own courses

Doing network engineering and security CISCO track rn.
@@Sauceguytrenov 1st for me
@@Sauceguytrewhy’d you go Cisco track over the normal one ? I’m signing up currently
@@DDJJAAYY I went Cisco track because it includes the CCNA and DevNet certifications, I just want to get that done with my degree.
Can we transfer previous college credits?
Yes
Question , can i do these and then start WGU a year later? Or do they expire. I apologise if it's a dumb question. 😢
Nothing is a “dumb” question. I ask “dumb” questions everyday. They do not expire. You’re good.
Any interest in digging into BA in Math hacking? I ask because that's what I'm going for at SNHU
College hacking 3 hrs ago whoo hoo let's go
