I'm with you--I'm SO picky about thrillers. I used to say it was one of my favorite genres... but I don't think I can say that since I've only had one 5-star read in that genre. lol
I recently unhauled frozen river by Ariel Lawhon, Christmas wedding by James Patterson and cannot remember the others (no loss, evidently). Hope to do a bigger unhaul soon.
I’m just going to cry in my corner ankh the fact that I was thinking “she needs to read The Book Thief” and then you immediately popped it up and are unhauling it! 😂😭
So here for this but so sad to see them go! Completely understand needing to purge though! Loved Family Upstairs, Have you considered Pango? I know you’re already super busy but I hear it’s better than trade in, in some cases. ❌
Book unhauls are always so fun & satisfying to watch, OMG 😂 I have no desire to read anything by Kristin Hannah. Her books just didn't fit my exact taste. It is what it is. ❌ Great job & I hope you have such an amazing day! 💖 I have a personally interesting question for you. What's the first book you read that made you fall in love with the romance genre?
Oooh, what a fun question! 😊 I would have to say The Bromance Book Club series by Lyssa Kay Adams! They’re some of my first romances and absolute favorites! 😊
Upgrade and Dark Matter aren't connected at all, they're both standalones so it would make sense that you unhauled Dark Matter but kept Upgrade. I enjoyed both but didn't think either were mind blowing.
The intro was so cute. This was very helpful. I’ve been wanting to try a thriller. Can you recommend some without language or open door scenes? Not sure if that YA series like criminal minds is considered a thriller, but I do plan to try it since you loved it so much.❌❌❌
I will say, most thrillers tend to have language. I guess it’s just the nature of the genre. I think books 1-3 of The Naturals is great, but it gets pretty dark after that. I will keep my eye open for ones I think you would enjoy!
❌ please excuse my lack of punctuation. I’m typing with my left hand and I cannot deal with the shift key. Why buy series books out of order? Because the middle books are on sale. since finding BookTube my reading and buying habits have changed. I own over 1400 audiobooks and I have never counted all my Kindle books. Have I read all of them-no. There are plenty I still want to read. But now I’m into saving money. What I learned from Colleen Hoover. Find her books on your Trigger list and read the triggers for all her books all at one time. Yikes - they were all depressing. I do that with all new authors now. When I see an interesting book now, I check it out of the library first. I have added a new column to my wish list called BUY. The magic of lemon drop pie is the only book on the list. I borrowed it from the library and loved it. The next time I want to read this, I’ll buy the copy. All new authors I try to borrow first. This has saved me a ton of money. Cover buys are dangerous…especially those that appear to be middle grade. When you DNF by the second page it is because the language is usually disgusting. Enjoy your weekend!
YES! I am learning those things the older I get too, I am definitely not buying near as many as I was before. I am much more cautious, because things are just thrown in all willy-nilly that I’m simply not okay with. Thank you for watching. 😊
Firefly Lane was not it for me. i say this as a huge fan of Kristin Hannah but i gave it one star 🥲 the characters were insufferable and i quit halfway through.
“I don’t do holiday romances” … rips my heart out 🥲
I’ve tried, I just can’t 😩
Blake crouch 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾love his books
That cover of the ravens!! 😍😍 I love YA thrillers.
Always love a good unhaul! 👏 Also, the intro. 🤭🫶

Five total strangers was rough I gave it 2 stars. You ain’t miss anything with that one!
Ohh thanks for the heads up about darling girls, taking that off my TBR because that’s a topic I can’t handle anymore. In any capacity 😢
YES! I agree, it’s very tough to read in any capacity!
“Maybe someday…maybe not” 😂😂😂 love it! Not the book; your comment. I recently unhauled about 20+ books because I just wasn’t going to read them!
🤣🤣🤣 thank you! Love that for us!

Unhauling is soooo satisfying! 🤭🙈
Unhauling always feels so good!!
Yesssss 😊
I just love your channel. So inviting and gives me joy.💜
You are so sweet, thank you!! 🥹
Same--I've had to deal with child abuse for work too many times, and it's something I really hate reading about. :(
❌
Yesss! Not the topic for me. 😣
I’ve also found I’m getting picky with having physical copies of thrillers. Unless it’s a favorite, I don’t need to have it. Yet, I still buy more 😅
Yes, me too…🤣🤭
HANNAH! The Secret garden was written in the 1800s 🤣 different author. I got a good laugh 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 whoops
I’m just going to cry in my corner ankh the fact that I was thinking “she needs to read The Book Thief” and then you immediately popped it up and are unhauling it! 😂😭
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I know it would have gutted you! I’m sorry! 🤭

I’ve thought about using it, I may in the future!
The intro 😂😂 You’re so cute! ☺️
Why thank you 🤣🤭
The sass you had at the end 😂

Thank you so much. Thank you for explaining about thrillers, I just may need to stick with cozies, mysteries and suspense.
@@susanfryman5156 which is totally fine! Everyone has their own comfort zones with genres. 😊
"I already unhealed that piece of trash!" You KILL ME!
🤣🤣🤣🙈
Love his video

I loved Maybe Someday 😅 But I could see you not liking it…you definitely wouldn’t like Maybe Not.
I’m just not really into CH anymore, who knows, I may potentially try them. Maybe someday…🤣🤭

Oop. Megan Miranda 😵💫😵💫I don’t like her books either 🤣🤣👀
Oh, good! I am glad I’m not the only one. 🙈
