this character has 3 L and 0 W and the fact that WB had no real crew to compete against roger pirates except oden and they fought 3 days proves they werent going all out at all, u have a certified top caliber crew against a bunch of orphans barely having a pirate career at that point which means wb and roger pirates was just a tough friendly competition

He may have ended up helping Luffy in Wano, but he was really helping his friends take back their country...Luffy just happened to be doing the same thing.
He did save ace, he saved him to the point he could’ve escaped and lived peacefully. Ace basically killed himself with the stupidest decision in the entire show.

Strawhats arent the only one getting stronger during timeskip, it makes sense if Marco and the rest of the WB pirates grew stronger as well during that time, they did lost because they weren't strong enough.
