A few insider comments- 1- the upper center hole in the mounting plate is for using a pencil point to position the plate against the wall, it will then level itself and the four screw holes can be marked.. 2- adding additional zone modules need to be in sequential order. 3- the "smart" settings are for engaging the ET algorithm that calculates how much water has left the ground since the last time it ran, from both evaporation and transpiration through the various plants. ET = 'evapotranspiration'. The loss is calculated daily at midnight and when a run time/day comes along it will dispense the accumulated loss since the last time. This function requires the "weather monitor" or uploaded data. 4- any value in the display that is blinking is adjusted by the two righthand buttons. The left buttons change the item to be adjusted.
I have a fault reading flashing but it doesn't tell me what the fault is. The low battery indicator is flashing but i replaced the battery but still showing fault and no zones will run. Any ideas?
Hi Bruce, excellent question. Yes, Weathermatic has a web-based software solution called SmartLink that you can use to operate the controller from your phone tablet, computer, etc (www.smartlinknetwork.com). To connect the Smartline 1600 you will need a SmartLink Aircard sprinklersupplystore.com/products/weathermatic-sl-aircard-m1na-smartlink-aircard-for-gsm-cellular-network-no-plan
Here is a link if you are interested in purchasing the AirCard: sprinklersupplystore.com/products/weathermatic-sl-aircard-m1na-smartlink-aircard-for-gsm-cellular-network-no-plan
