How to Make Espresso / Cappuccino & Froth Like a Beast with a Mr. Coffee Espresso Cappuccino Machine

  • Being born and raised in the Seattle area, I will admit that I am an espresso junky. The price of an espresso is a bit much these days, and I take pleasure in being my own barista. Yes, I like sugar. Yes, I know it's bad for me. Tweak your coffee, espresso, or cappuccino to your liking.
    FYI:
    Here is more information these current days:
    Buying and drinking non-GMO/Organic Whole Coffee Beans has a lot of antioxidants when you drink it within 15 to 20 minutes. Grind the coffee once the filtered water is already hot, that's when you will be healing rather than feeling horrible based on acidic coffee. Filtering your water is very important. Please make sure you know which filters really remove toxins. Many now only remove the smell. I also sometimes use the Coffee Press or the Mr Coffee Steam Expresso Maker. I typically mostly use the most protected filters on top of the cup. I learned a lot about PODS and Pl@stic. Please pay attention, but all of you be you.
    This is an older throwback video. I don't use the syrup anymore. I have been removing a lot of sugar over the past five years. I hardly ever have sugar, and I eat less food in a day than most eat for break-fast.
    Today I want to share how to make espresso (some say it's cappuccino) and froth like a beast.
    I have used Mr. Coffee Espresso machines for years. I've always had good luck with them.
    I hope some of you find this useful.
    Cindy

    Thank you so much for this! My daughter bought one for me for my birthday bc she said my daily visits to SB was out of control lol. She wasn’t wrong, but after watching this, I was super confident in making my very own. It didn’t quite taste like my usual, but I’m trying different recipes and ingredients until I find the perfect match

    If you tilt it and barely put the tip in the milk for about 20 seconds then drop the wand down to the bottom till the milks hot you should get a nice thick foam. That’s the way they trained us at Starbucks. It gives the foam a slight sweetness

      @@CoffeeTimewithCindy what you want is a deeper milk find a more tall cup instead of wide put it near the surface for 20 secs then put it down and heat the milk until it's the temperature you want 60c is ideal for a sweet milk that isn't burnt

    in frothing the milk, the process i love to use starts by letting out some steam before putting the wand in the milk until the air flow is consistent. then, i would dip the very tip of the wand into the surface of the milk while the steamer is off and then start steaming again. it should emit a very high pitched tearing noise. i do this for no more than 12 seconds (closer to 12 for a cappuccino, less for a latte), then i completely dip the wand into the pitcher at a slight angle so that a vortex is created. the goal is to have no air bubbles so that the texture of the milk is smooth like paint. once the milk is hot to the touch, i stop the steam, take the pitcher, tap tap tap it on the counter, and swirl. doing this is another way to get rid of any surviving air bubbles. then, i would pour the milk into my espresso!
    i have the same espresso machine as you do! i definitely recommend removing the black cover before steaming the milk and cleaning the wand using a wet rag or paper towel when purging it! i noticed that the black cover caused a lot of bubble build up and removing it was the best decision i've made!

    Ok. I have this machine. Espresso needs 15 bar of pressure and has a pump.. This machine does not have 15 bar, or pump, just steam. Typically want micro foam when frothing. This machine create macro foam. 😂 Basically it’s coffee with large foam milk. Not even close to cappuccino. Starting price for a low end espresso machine is $150 range and low end frothing wand. Many people including myself get suck into buying this machine and ended up at goodwill or garage sale. Put 4 tablespoon of coffee in regular coffee maker you will get same results. Save you money get a real espresso machine. Anywho, good instructional video!

    • @CoffeeTimewithCindy
      @CoffeeTimewithCindy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I don't use an espresso machine now. I grind my grounds fresh and make a cup at a time with no coffee machine at all. I don't use syrup anymore. I still use a little light brown sugar and almond milk. I prefer using honey now. As its better for us than sugar. I also drink at least one cup of tea in between each cup of coffee so I can balance my acid/alkaline levels. I never learn it all overnight. Learning about and starting symptom tracking for my health has helped me reverse almost all of my labeled mefical issues. LOL

I have had issues with low magnesium, potassium, and B12 on multiple occassions. Especially when I was suicidal in 1998 and 2017. I study naturalistic remedies now and in the past two years I have none of my old labled issues. No more GAD, Bipolar, Panic Attacks, IBS, or Fibromyalgia. All gone. I worked hard the past two years to figure out what was causing my issues by fasting and only adding in Country Farms mix and then adding one food at a time weeks apart. This helped me understand what is unhealthy for my body and blood type. I don't eat more in a single day than most eat for breakfast.

      @@happygirl2667 I don't think this will explode. My mom has been using this for 5 years. Just make sure you close the lid or it will boil over. It is super easy, just grid your beans, put them in the metal filter, tamp the grounds, put the filter where it goes. Put water in the top where it goes and make turn it on.
      It will be better to buy a milk steaming pitcher for under 10 on Amazon. You don't need to even move the pitcher all around like that. Just tilt it and create a vortex and the milk will froth that way. You could also heat your milk in the microwave in a Pyrex cup, then get a handheld frother and froth your milk that way. I like to do it with the Pyrex and hand held after trying it so many different ways. People will argue that its not true espresso, or whatever but if you like how it tastes then that is all that matters. It's not like you're opening a coffee shop with a Mr Coffee espresso maker.

      @CoffeeTimewithCindy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you fill the water to the fourth water mark it will go to high pressure for the steamer before hitting the fourth mark as it is filling up. In the past, I filled it higher than the fourth mark and would turn on the steamer when the pressure was high and when the coffee was coming up to the fourth mark. I tend to not do the fourth mark now. I also don't use the goofy Hershey stuff anymore. I now use dry milk mixed with organic non-GMO cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla extract.

    Froth is not working at all for me. Been trying for hours. It’s jumping and bubbling out of mug, onto wall, and burning me. Using almond milk. And why doesn’t this thing come with the frothing cup

    • @CoffeeTimewithCindy
      @CoffeeTimewithCindy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had trouble frothing Almond Milk with the coffee. I have trouble with coffee now because of the acidic nature. I need to be higher alkaline. I drink a lot of tea all day now.
      If I remember correctly skim milk worked the best. If you have dairy issues you could try lactose free. Just pay attention to your rractions after drinking it.
      I'm sorry. I wish I had talked about that but it took me a while to learn it based on illnesses, symptom tracking and modifying my diet the last three years. I take no meds now. I was on a lot approximately three years ago based on all the things I was informed I had by the doctors and psychiatrists. I beleive I was on about eight medications daily. This is when I realized the meds just covered uo my symptoms rather than me waking the fu(k up and figuring out where the problems arised from. I can't take hardly any dairy. My nose just runs and my lungs get horrific. I also don't eat any gluten because it causes pollups in my intestines. I will eat a little corn in chips but only if they are non gmo and gluten free.
      You could try mixing some water in with the almond milk. That might work if you try half almomd milk and half water. I only drink filtered water.
      Sorry for the delayed reply. I don't youtube as much and I am trying to not use social media as much.
      You can use any cup to froth. Larger bottom cups work the best for me.

    • @CoffeeTimewithCindy

      You can do either. The benefit to fresh ground coffee and brewing then drinking it within 20 minutes is that it gives you a huge antioxidant boost. You can reuse the same grounds. You will still get caffeine if it's not caffeine free coffee, but no antioxidants. It will be weaker tasting.
