      Even though I'm a die hard Holden man, Ford have come up some very nice cars.What a shame if the Australian car industry was allowed to continue on, amazing cars could've come out from Holden and Ford.But unfortunately we sold out our country to the globalists and their telling us to buy Korean crap mobiles, Japanese matchbox cars, and Mexican mustangs.What I've noticed the prices of imported cars are way too expensive and most of them look alike.Where going to be forced to drive electric cars and God help us when the batteries die out and you have to replace them.

    The ‘prestige centre command unit’ dual zone air conditioning and colour screen was standard on the Typhoon and optional on the Tornado

    Great review of the F6 Tornado, Ross. What low kilometres it has. It looks very well looked after. Very good 0-100 considering its stock. I reckon those would have come factory with the premium sound system like your F6 Typhoon but someone’s optioned that Tornado with the standard sound system to make it cheaper to buy. Thanks for the review.

  • @mills3375

    My understanding is that Tornadoes came standard with the Basic ICC interior standard with the Premium Colour ICC being an option. Believe the reason was as you said just simply being a Ute wanting a more basic durable interior

    • @beedseed4724

    Bf’s came out in 2005 with a 6 speed auto.. xr6T xr8 and Fairmont and fpv..Australia’s first 6speed auto.. great review for a iconic all Aussie motor and Australian design Ute.. something Holden let go in the late 90’s

    • @willm687
      @willm687 ปีที่แล้ว

      What the vevf was Holden designed the engines were American but ford used American engines as well in V8’s. Much rather a vf GTSR Maloo over a fgx xr6t ute. Same year you know what I am getting

    I'd say the reason you are loosing rear traction in the ute compared to your car is that the ute has leaf springs compared to coils on your car. Leaf springs are so agricultural and car companies using them are just being cheap skates. Before anyone says leaf springs are better for loads then need to look at train carriages as they use coil springs.
    Thanks for the review Ross. As much as I am a Holden man through and through I must admit this ute is an awesome vehicle.

  • @mickmcminn2976
    @mickmcminn2976 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great vid Ross! That 0-100 is impressive...... all done and dusted on the street in 5.6 using just 1 gear! Very, very few stock cars could pull that off in the real world.
    See if you can review a mk8/8.5 FiST in the near future, they're a laugh a second! 😂

    Yes it was an upgrade. When I bought mine from new you had the option for premium stereo and had the option too for a reverse camera, hence the colour screen and dual zone was an option too.

    Holden VE SS and HSV had 6 speed autos back in 2006 the exact same time this came out

    • @warlikeboar
      @warlikeboar ปีที่แล้ว

      yep, I got a manual VE SS in late 2006 but the 6 sp auto was definitely available, if Ford was first it was only a matter of months and the VE was defintely a generation ahead, still that Turbo Barra was a beast of an engine

    • @RossReviewsau
      @RossReviewsau  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The ute icc you're talking about would have been an option.
    Whether it be optioned to remove the premium one. Or to add it in.
    When purchasing them new
    Xr models included.
    You had millions of things you could add or remove etc.
    Much like Holden

    • @351tgv
      @351tgv ปีที่แล้ว

      more specifically the rear suspension is leaf springs based, in this trim spec FPV would of installed a anti-roll bar (sway bar) to help smooth out corners but they can't do anything about bumps as the dampers from BA onwards (for all LWB wagon and Utes) were located on outboard of the leaf springs (whereas on X and E series they were inboard of the leaf springs). it's always been a debate as to which is better but overall they do the same job but in different ways.

    • @351tgv
      @351tgv ปีที่แล้ว

      I forgot to mention that it was from A series (so AU I, II & III) that Ford Australia changed dampers (shocks) location from inboard (X & E series) to outboard (A, B & F series).
