      In many countries, sandwiches are considered snacks rather than meals - so that might also be a factor when developing the portion sizes.

    I've been snowed in for a week now and would kill for any kind of food that I didn't cook myself, but now all I want is a conbini ham, cheese, and lettuce sandwich. Don't think I'll be finding one of those in Arkansas any time soon. 😆

    • @acrawford7847
      @acrawford7847 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same here. Although right before my area of AR got hit with snow, I was able to find Japanese Kewpie Mayo so I’ve made egg salad a couple of times this week. I used Shinichi’s recipe. It was amazing! I had to use the Sara Lee Artesano hotdog buns bc it was the only bread on the shelves.

      @@acrawford7847 I'm down to two King's Hawaiian mini sub rolls, but now that you've mentioned egg salad, I may have to do that. It'll work on the crackers I bought for chili, but then there was no ground beef left in the store.

    • @acrawford7847
      @acrawford7847 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@emileebaker8520 that should work and sounds delicious. We were finally able to get out yesterday afternoon. Our store had no refrigerated breakfast items eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, crescent rolls. We also had no lunch meats but we had plenty of bread!🤣 I have a great Turkey chili recipe I use. Ground turkey, can of diced tomatoes, can of black beans, 1 each grated carrot and zucchini, then chili seasoning. It was supposed to be turkey tacos but I made the soup part to thick so chili. I also once made the soup too thin so we had it like taco soup!🤣 It’s very versatile.🤣😂 It all depends on which can you drain. Drain both its tacos. Drain the tomatoes it’s chili. Drain the beans it’s soup. My kiddos love it and they aren’t big chili fans.

    Aussie here! I have put left over pasta salad, potato salad, spaghetti bolognese or even Asian stir fry noodles into bread rolls or a sandwich for many years since I was a teen! It’s a long lasting carb dense meal that keeps you fuller for longer (or at least with me!). I actually snack less after eating one and don’t pack a full lunch box if I have one of these sandwiches. I love all the different filling combinations in this video too!

    Love the teriyaki sando... great to make at home as well. I think with the big pieces of chicken a omelet would have been better then the boiled egg. The wrap looks good as well. Potato sandwiches I had to really get used to them but once you do they are great. And such a good idea for leftover potato salad hahaha (making korokke with leftover salad is another great remake idea).

    I love these convenience store sandwiches! They are just so good! Even the simplest ones are delicious. And tastes even better than homemade sometimes 😂
