Atta girl. I have been an RN for 25 years... (WHAT?) still hard to believe. I have worked in several different types of nursing... inpatient hospital, outpatient walk in clinic, school, prison, travel nursing to a jail and then a pediatric derm office, stopped traveling, another jail, I now am in ambulatory care family practice in a military clinic... I LOVE ❤️ it. You have SO MANY options, you are 100% right, be happy or try something else. Be well!

loved this video, im guessing you're a pain nurse? I work in a surgery center and I mainly do plastic surgery but occasionally I do pain. Outpatient care is so much better then inpatient!! so happy I found your channel!

Do Epic’s analyst job. I am Asia like you. After working over 20 years of back breaking and very very very stressful work. After I got certified several Epic applications. Left floor work 10 years ago. You still will involve with nursing workflows and build stuff. Pay is the same as the nurse. Very glad crossing over. Don’t get me wrong I love taking care and helping out patients. It burns me out badly 20 years ago. My turn to take care of myself. Good luck with your carrier.

I’ve been a nurse for about 2 years now and feel like I’m so burnt out from working in the hospital and I’m thinking about switching to outpatient but I’m just scared for the same reasons you are but maybe I’ll take the leap soon :)
I just stopped working cause I saved so much money and now I’m living in a bus and it’s great! I’ll be so refreshed to go back now haha
i’m a 12yo girl and i’ve wanted to be a nurse since i was 10?? i wanted to take care of people since i was at least 3. I’m working harder in school now that i know what i wanna do and this will be motivation for what could be for me one day
It's great that you aim to do well in school!!! Keep it up. But please know that it's ok to stumble. I took the long road to nursing whereas some of my friends went into it right away. Everyone has their own path ❤ you do you

Really love your videos and content. It was very reassuring to hear your first year experience as I'm a recent new grad nurse and feel the anxiety you mentioned. I've heard it's pretty normal for the first year but eventually gets better. Any tips/suggestions you would give to your younger (1st year) self of how to make things better/easier? I consider becoming a nurse ... things what I like about it:
- great job security no matter what country you will always find a job
- 3 days work and rest of the week FREE TIME unless want to do extra
- nice salary and can still earn more if feel like it
- when become skilled ..perhaps have potential to start own business?
cons:.
I have huge anxiety when think about Im responsible from person`s life.. scared of doing mistakes..
also Im scared of needles.. wonder if I can overcome that...
toxic work environments worries me as well... specially when just graduated
but personally I respect and value nurses you guys do important job!

I dunno i think I'm burned out because I started to cry when kevin posted an encouragement post it to you.. maybe i just wanted an encouragement post it too before I start my 12hr shift.. :') it's so frustrating in the ward it's like it's not new year, so many patients to attend to and encourage them while there's no one to encourage me. 🙈 Anyways too much drama already..

After 0.33 second I am SO agreeing with you, I'm a dietitian at the hospital looking to become a nurse, cause in here we are so looked down on us so much so that I have to ask a nurse if it's ok to give different food to different patient no offense for n urses at all, one of the Rn at my hospital is my best friend and we love criticizing our husband's together but out of that it's refocus to give a pudding to a diabetes who just had his foot amputated. I'm 40years old and sick and tired to fight with the system but completely agreeing with the dry skin at the hospital ❤❤❤❤❤

I've learned a little about nurses in the U.S. and Canada. Both countries have a nurse shortage. I find it interesting in the u.s. ( not sure if Canada is the same) the beginning of medical school is enough training to be a nurse, but most continue their education. So there's a terrible nurse to patient ratio which I wouldn't be surprised if it's causing people to decide not for them. Though honestly I feel like people want a job with minimal work and high pay.

I work as a midwife in the UK, been one for 10 years and the changes I’ve seen in those 10 years are scary. Everyone is so burnt out and exhausted, I don’t think many people still enjoy their jobs. Healthcare has changed so much, I think it’s past the point of saving 😢
Neonatal Nurse in the UK here, so many of my colleagues are leaving because of job dissatisfaction 😢 it’s not the patients or necessarily the workload, it’s the culture and how we are treated by management. These are highly skilled, post-graduate trained ICU nurses. It’s a shame, real shame.

Great video. My question is why do the beautiful RNs like you always have a relationship with a doctor or another RN? You never see beautiful RNs like you with a guy who works at the local tire shop or hardware store. Im just curious why that is?
FYI RNs in Ca earn $90 - 130 an hr $135 - 260 an hr OT. Plus pension. This is union scale. Your working in the wrong state. My wife is a RN this is how I know.
