That's a unique opportunity considering he's from there and his grandfather was their play by play guy back in the day. I'll miss Chip a lot. He's been the voice of the Braves since my childhood but I don't blame him for wanting to do something new.

As a guy stuck in STL for a while, so happy to know that Harry Caray’s grandson is going to be the voice I listen to. I began my love of baseball listening to Harry as a child, then Chip while I was stationed at Ft. Benning. Sorry for your loss, but very happy for STL.

Chip is leaving because he doesn't relish the thought of announcing like its the team of the 80s, which is what the Braves will look like for the next five years.

I heard that Hart might be his replacement. He was the radio guy for the braves. He would be a good replacement.
