This is a really interesting perspective and I appreciate it! I definitely agree that youtube gets confused when your content changes and you are building a community. I've experienced that first hand with some travel videos this summers doing very well and being watched by mostly English and Dutch men and then I served up a temu video and youtube was like "here you go English men!" and my videos started tanking. Interesting that they are pushing unmonetized videos and videos about how easy it is to start on youtube - makes SO much sense. I edit a ton! but mostly for brevity and b roll - I don't do anything super fancy!
Yeah. I think si.e editing is good. I enjoy being roll that adds to the story. And I prefer the pauses to be cut out. We're all busy and it just feels more respectful of my viewers' time to edit that out.
Lol. I know what it is, but usually mess up my audio if I try it. It's where the audio of the next clip starts while the video of the current clip is still playing, or vice versa. It's supposed to help a transition be less jarring.
Hey Tina! 👋 I love how you educate the novice, talk with ladies who get up and do a full face of makeup every day and to the "experts" without making anyone feel down. My 8 year old granddaughter loves how well you explain everything. She understands you. I love the great advice on items like the Neutrogena cleansing bar for cleaning sponges and brushes. Thanks! All my granddaughters love you and a lot of their friends. Tfs and I'll see you soon 🌈 🌻 🤗 😘 🥰
Great perspective and so true. One thing that those watching can help people creating is allow the ads to run in full. But it is true that it’s not entirely in easy mode. Good words.
Thank you! It's also helpful if you can watch videos close to when they come out. Yt looks at how subs respond to a video in decided how far and wide to push it out.
I, of course, gave no proof of it. And it could just be the algorithm showing me more of what I've watched in the past, but even when I click not interested repeatedly, I still get a ton of them.
Hi Tina! Very truthful video. I so agree you really have to enjoy the process because for most of us TH-cam is not a “get rich quick” process! I also think so much luck is involved. Thanks for telling it like it really is friend!❤️
But also, the autoplay I was talking about here was mainly the one that happens when you are scrolling and the video starts to play without the audio if you stop at the thumbnail.

I don’t even know what a J cut is! 😂😂😂

@@TinaHBeautifulJourney Oh I learned something!

This comment really touched my heart. Thank you so much. I love that your grand daughters and their friends watch this grandma talk about makeup.

@ good to know, I didn’t realize that. Thanks Tina!
You just said a LOT of the stuff I've thought and vocalize things I'd wondered about.
@@nancyannesunboxings glad it resonated with you!
Interesting video! I didn’t even think about that TH-cam may be pushing growing a TH-cam channel to attract more possible TH-camrs.
I, of course, gave no proof of it. And it could just be the algorithm showing me more of what I've watched in the past, but even when I click not interested repeatedly, I still get a ton of them.
@ Yes, a theory. But, it does seem plausible.

If we're honest, for most of us, TH-cam costs us money, lol. It's definitely a love of the process that keeps us going.
Great advice and explanation of how it all works. Thanks so much.
You're welcome!
You’re beautiful!!
Thank you.
Reminding me to click autoplay OFF again, IDK how it got clicked on.
@agingophelia9812 mine turns on seemingly randomly too.
