- Join me in this crafty vlog as I attempt to crochet the dress Taylor Swift recently wore on a date with Travis. I honestly did not think it would take this long! Let me know in the comments what you liked about my design and what you would change. Should I make a tutorial in the near future?

You look so stylish in your dress. I think it's great you figured it out from a photo. You could go from the beach to dinner in it. Again, you did great!
Thank you!
It’s cute! You can go another row of sc around neckline and decrease evenly around every few stitches til you get it smaller like you like it.
I’m with you in the cotton bamboo yarn. It’s buttery soft.
I hate acrylic!
Yup good idea!
I think a tutorial would. be well received. You did a great job. I learn something every time I create something too and that is a good thing.
When I saw taylor swift wearing it I was amazing because shes very rich so if shes wearing a crochet dress its probably sold at at least a couple hundred dollars... im very surprised
Right!? I was too!
So Tashi, this has inspired me to do my first wearable. I mostly make accessories (hats, bags, blankets etc). But I can totally crochet rectangles! I can do hard things.
Yours came out dope, I like that it falls off the shoulder a little, it’ll give it character as a beach cover up.
Love it!! You can totally do this!
Great job! I love that you used cotton and I love the colors choice. Thank you,for sharing!
Thank you! 😊
I like the 3.5 crochet hook best. Thank you for sharing your favorite too!
Thanks for watching!
It's so clever the way you figured it out. Great job x
Thank you 🥰
I love it! It's definitely a fun dress to wear around town .
I think so too!
Really cute! It's fun to see you try and learn during the process!
For summer yarn you really should try something like a cotton blend with bamboo or silk or something like that.
it's clearly more expensive but! It add a really nice flow to your garment and is super breathable and lighter than just cotton!
I completely agree! I have this great cotton/bamboo yarn from my local yarn shop that would be perfect for it… might have to use it for the remake 😜
@@Tashiathome I hope te see the remake 😍
The dress turned out so cute.
Thank you!
I’m working on one right now using 3 weight bamboo & rayon with a 6mm hook. Also an extended double crochet because I’m so hot natured I wanted it light & lose. It’s looking pretty good
Good to know!
What was your base chain count and size your making?
Ok so this is my first time watching you and omgosh, I loved your pre cro stretch. I’m gonna add this to my day. Great fun tutorial. I’m now subscribed. Looking forward to future videos. 🥰🥰
Yay! Thank you! So glad to have you here 🥰
FABULOUS! i would love to see a tutorial for this dress! :)
Thank you very much. You have made a cute and lovely dress. Inspiring and thoughtful ideas well received.
Thank you so much!
Yes!! Tutorial please!!!
I like the way you made yours and I am not a Swifty either. I can see it as a nice sweater with a tank underneath and pants. It also appears to be an easy pattern. Yarn tingling that's why I pull from the outside of the yarn it's not so frustrating. I agree with you about the price of the original dress severely undercharged. The tutorial for the sweater dress sounds good to me.
I may have to start pulling from the outside!
New subby!!! Really love the dress❤
Thanks for subbing! Glad to have you 🥰
Thank you for giving me my next project 😂 loved this video
Haha my pleasure!
I just found your channel! Love your content! 🩷
Yay! Thank you! So glad you’re here 🥰
Thats beautiful
Those stitches definitely look crochet to me for 119.00😢 your dress looks amazing!!!! Cotton was a great choice as well. Thanks for sharing ❤
Yeah, I’ve seen some other people talking about it and it definitely is crochet which is so sad!
The pink u chose is gorgeous!! I’m not an orange color gal lol . And ur pets are so beautiful!!! The dress came out so nice love it!! U go girl!!!!
Thank you so much!!
I've seen a lot of these and I love that you used cotton... everyone else I've seen has used acrylic 😅... great job!!
I can’t imagine ever wearing it using acrylic. I am excited to make it with lighter weight cotton too!
The one Taylor Swift wore is 100% acrylic so that's probably why
Tutorial plz I love it ❤
Maybe for a new dress consider a cotton/polyester mix?
your dress is beautiful
Thank you 😊
hi, looooove it, thank you so much, what arthritis cream do you use, going to see if I can find it in the UK🤗🤗🤗🤗
I use a cream called voltarin. It’s great stuff
That is cute ❤
Thank you!
Great job!…..enjoy
I could have missed it but what size hook did you use
I used a 4.5 mm
@@Tashiathome thank you
hi! In my opinion the swoop in the front just comes natural when you do a boat neck. just work it even.
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking for my next one
What's a boat neck??? I can't find anything on this
@@Tashiathome just straight across. just sew your two shoulders seams.
Size. Hook 3.00 or 3.50 red heart yarn 5.00 h hook , yarn u using be from ilove this yarn cotton be wondering thank u
I dont know what difference it makes, but the Taylor Swift one is 100% acrylic
Welcome
When Kevin gripped your arm!?😭😭
Hahaha right!? That was my reaction too 😭
We need to be friends! You crack me up! 😂
Heck yes! New friends are always welcome!
Can you knit something that looks like crochet? I think it's crochet and fast fashion
Machines can knit to mimic the look of crochet, but if you look close. You’ll see that it’s knitted. I know for sure that this dress is crochet
Good
It’s crocheted
Your girl cat is named Kevin? Like the female bird in UP??
EXACTLY!!! Haha I am so glad you got that. That is exactly what she is named after. We call her Kevi for short
@Tashiathome I often don't get things, so I'm glad I got one for once! Not even the movie reference I would expect to understand either! She's an adorable cat. I'm pretty sure mine would just be on the ground where I don't see them, chewing the yarn into pieces.
Anyway, you *should* do a tutorial on this dress! That'd be really cool. (I've been trying and failing to find a project to make my swiftie niece. I don't even crochet really, i knit, but watching you do it, I'm like 'well if she does all the figuring it out parts, maybe I can figure out just the crochet part' lol
I still say it's machine made on a knitting machine.
It’s not knit. It’s crochet. Which can’t be done by machine.
In Portugal is 125,85 (dólar)
Somebody in poor poorcountry would be glad to get $4.25 an hour. Wonder where Taylor’s dress was made?
Yes, your time is valuable, but crocheting ain’t brain surgery.
It may not be brain surgery but certainly a skill worth more than minimum wage!
