Bro is really if Abe Cunningham decided to be a gospel drummer. Unreal🔥
I just fucking loved that he copped to having rnb and gospel influences in his playing and name dropped Eric moore specifically cuz I totally hear that in his playing.
As a drummer myself he is one of my favorites!! Apparently Britain likes Star Wars too and we’re like you know what let’s turn that into an AI voice and give it to a human haha
That was awesome and I'm just starting to listen to their music
Found out about Sleep Token from the channel '3rd eye drops' and wish I knew about them sooner. Great band, energy, lore and music. Definitely reminded me of some Opeth all, a few Animals as Leaders djent and electronic passages.
Not surprising, but their drummer seems like a really cool intelligent dude. Very interesting!
The voice over just reminds me of the dragoon from Starcraft. Love the Protoss.
Woah, memory flood
LMAO
Tip: You can find out who II is if you pay attention to the drum kit. Now you can look and compare with every drummer that ever liked any sleep token photo.
They will be unmasked like every masked band eventually.
This was absolutely 100% professional as to be expected by someone like II, and Drumeo pulled out all of the stops to make this an incredible incredible insight on where he pulls his influences, and now that you see where he pulls his influence from you can hear it in the music so easily and it makes so much sense. I saw this the day that it came out and I was blown away because this was professionalism at its best!
are we gonna ignore that Nik looks like the drumeo guy?
Dude I’m 55 and I use the TH-cam speed control all the time. In fact, I’m always showing the speed control to my students who don’t know about it.
George Daniel from the The 1975 is also a British drummer who is very syncopated and groovy with chops for days and is very influenced by British dance/garage music, and once mentioned taking ideas from metalcore in an interview. Has a very deep voice and talks slowly, just like II. Mid 30s and definitely uses TH-cam to learn a lot. Scheduling wise would work out with the tour dates. Just a theory 🤷
Good theory but incorrect. I know who it is and won't ruin it for you, but if you really want to know, it's out there. Great guess though; these two are almost the same age!
After watching the interview, Sleep Token just seems like a bunch of rebel classical players that got together in a goth batman band
Well obviously you can say that it isn’t Chris, because he would never be able to not have his hunched over "signature" pose xD
His real name is Adam pedder looks like a pretty normal alternative British guy tbh
Some say this guy was the first drummer of She Must Burn, a band I've always found remarkable for their ultra-fast blast beats. If it's indeed the same guy, it's interesting how he's doing something completely different now.
He has played in that band yes
Challenge: Nik gets iii and iv on the stream
they are all from other underground UK bands, they are cool guys I've met them before with their other projects. it's funny when they just walk around the crowd anonymously
If II is actually Chris Turner, I don't think I could do anything more in my life than just listening to this band
it's not
@@smokejcI know but imagine for a second 🤣
He is not. I now know who he is but a big part of me wishes that i didn't know. With regard to ST band members, ignorance is bliss... It's a huge part of the journey.
@@CarlosCruz_ccI wondered if II is the drumming You Tuber, Delta Empire.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel Also no.
i just discovered Sleep Token and II has already become one of my favorite drummers
People have done some insane sleuthing and almost definitely discovered the identity of most of the members of Sleep Token. Even still, I respect that despite that, they have not revealed their identities themselves.
they dont want to
The way he shuts off the hihat with his foot to silence it... 100 % Chris turner style

Hes just so soft spoken and serious, its awesome😂
You should see me nodding along with II like i have any fucking clue what hes talking about😂
This is definitely an interview for drum-heads, but it is nevertheless very informative for all of us wannabes sitting here programming drums.
Don't really care about the whole hype about who they are. These guys are most likely very glad to enjoy a normal life without having to pose for 500 selfies every day with people they don't know.
It's about the music, not them, and I'm totally ok with that.
Ive heard that same voice filter in their music. Would be interesting to see if it's attached to him specifically. Forgot what song or songs I heard it in but when i hear it or them again ill return and edit this comment. Ill also look into if it's attached to him specifically. I love his cadence. He and Vessel speak as if they are scholars. Mind you im from the hills of Kentucky so it doesn't take much to impress me. 😂 love from Kentucky yall. Proud to be a member of the congregation that is the Sleep Token fanbase ❤️🖤🖤🖤❤️
Man the mystery of these guys is so captivating, and absolutely part of their appeal. Please remain in the shadows forever guys.
Ironic
He’s too well articulated this man is a Bond villain
If any member of Sleep Token comes on the stream, its gotta be III
The speculation I've heard thus far is that they're British (some Brits have pointed this out) and that Vessel might have had classical training in singing (Elizabeth aka The Charismatic Voice thought so when she reacted to them).
I thought it was well known. They started out with gigs in the UK. Vessel has a British accent when singing. So surprised people didn't know.
@@hebbbby I can't always tell by someone's accent where they're from, unless it's a very strong accent. Except maybe if they're Finnish or Swedish (I'm Finnish).
